Cozy Italian dinners here are unmatched. We tried a few items from their specials, so make sure to take a look at those before ordering. They have incredible bread with garlic, appetizers, fresh pasta, and don't forget to save some room for dessert. The service was good as well.

Very cozy lovely place. The service was great. I've been going to their old location for years and I do love this new location even better. We had the special Beet Salad loaded with green apples, arugula, walnuts and goat cheese and it was very good. My old favorite is always the Stuffed Artichoke and it was delicious. The half moon shaped Ravioli special with shrimp was excellent. Already want to go back for that dish again. The Cacio Pepe, the fresh spaghetti is always the best. The Gamberie Scampi, grilled shrimp with white wine and lemon sauce is a classic. Must try the Napoleon Cake for dessert.

We enjoy a good Italian meal wIth the famiglia and Sotto Luna is just the place. We were able to get a table for us on Xmas Eve last minute reservation and the place was packed. Great food, good friendly service, comfy decor thou they def need acoustic panels ASAP in there. Affordable meal for three clocked in at around 150.00 so it's a great option for families. The dishes we ordered were well prepared and given the rush were pretty good. I rate my spots would I go there again? Definitively my neighborhood go to spot. It's a bit more elegant than the La Parma cantina and smaller than 388 -- two other excelente ristoranti on same street a few blocks apart not to mention the great takeout D'Angelos. It's right up there with my faves and a great option

Came with a friend for her retirement dinner. The best authentic Italian restaurant in this part of Nassau County. Seafood cooked perfectly. Homemade pasta. "Best Branzino I've ever had" - quote from my friend. Finished with a magnificent cappuccino and house made Napoleon. We'll definitely be back.

Sotto Luna is the perfect example of why people should give local restaurants a fair shake. Located in a strip mall sandwiched next to a CVS and Starbucks, it would be really easy to overlook this place, and that would be a mistake. The decor is clean and bright and the menu has a lot of standard Italian fare. The meal started off with some complimentary flatbread with roasted garlic (tasty) and we started out with a caesar salad (well dressed and not overdone). Entrees were good - chicken with sausages and peppers was flavorful, lasagna was delicious, meatballs were succulent. Dessert was also really good - complimentary homemade biscotti was excellent. Prices are about what you might expect for a mid-level Italian restaurant (about 20-30 bucks a pop). Service was also really good the day we went and our server was top notch. Thumbs up.

It was loaded with onions, but it was missing the umami flavor that would have made it taste robust. Perhaps an infusion of white truffle oil would have done the trick. I also ordered a Zeppole, which was dry inside. I did not like it. I like mine moist and recently baked. Mine tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for hours. My cousin and I went inside and were greeted by a nice fellow behind the counter who patiently explained the difference between Grandma pizza and Sicilian pizza to her. The pizza looked really good. It was. The Grandma was very good, and crispy. The spinach pizza was so full of cheese and spinach, I couldn't even finish it, because I had already finished the other two slices... one of which was the best... an olive slice from a small pie that had a few whole (pitted) green olives and a little roasted red pepper on it. The slice had the distinct flavor of olive even when you weren't biting into one of the olives. LOVED IT. We say at a high-top table, enjoyed the atmosphere there and I had no complaints. Should I find myself back in the area looking for a decent pizza meal, this will be the spot.

I was driving so I passed on the alcohol. Then we got our individual pizza set ups and a lesson. It was fun! They gave us some toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms and peppers. We made our pizzas and they took them away to be cooked. We then had a choice of salad, Caesar or house. Everyone liked the salad and the dressings. We got our pizzas back in pizza boxes so we could eat some and take some home. Then they came around with a plate of cookies! The owner came over to talk to us, she said that they were planning to have pasta and mozzarella making in the future and told us about the other events that they have. Live music, bingo etc. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Sweet and genuine. She also showed concern about the parking situation and offered a reimbursement for the parking garage. We declined that offer, it was only a couple of dollars for the time that we spent there. If I had to be very picky the only one suggestion that I have would be that they add some basil/ oregano/garlic/pepper to the sauce or on the table, the sauce was very plain. Other than that, everything was amazing and so much fun, well worth the price that we paid ($40 pp including gratuities) for everything that we got!

The strategy here is simple. You order a pie--half pepperoni, half prosciutto. The prosciutto does exactly what it needs to do, but the pepperoni is the real headline act. Dozens of pies later, it's still a ritual worth repeating. Food (4/5): The thin, crispy crust is the star of the show, and the pepperoni is dialed in to perfection every single time. My friends and I opted to sit inside with the air conditioning because outside seating was still a bit toasty due to the weather that day. We met up around 12:30PM and the restaurant was pretty empty at that time. I ordered their Lunch Special which was a 12 inch personal pie with a 16 Oz soda ($15.60). I got a sweetened iced tea instead of the soda. I wanted a topping (mushroom) so that was an additional $5. The iced tea was wayyy too sweet for my taste and the pizza wasn't that great either. Too much crust, not enough sauce and barely any mushroom topping. The 12 inch size though was filling and I didn't have any leftover. Due to the restaurant being pretty empty the time we were there, it was nice to be able to chat with my friends and we weren't rushed. I'm not sure if I would return as the food did not stand out at all.
