Yes tea was good, fairly clean, has a young vibe. My girlfriend said she took her daughter in there when they first opened & said she asked what was good & owner barked something rude at them. She left feeling demeaned. So today I went because my kids enjoy hanging out there. I was thinking I'd buy a tea & couple gift cards for my two kids! The owner was sitting next to the young clerk, possibly training her, and she seemed fairly nervous but she was very sweet! However, when I asked if I could get two $10 gift cards the owner snapped at me "No! Only Minimum $15 each". Not only was I shocked, the young girl was too. I hear there's a new boba shop opening up soon with Mariannes ice cream too....I can't wait! I know that owner & she would NEVER treat her customers rudely! I fear the young people working there may be getting mistreated too!!! horrible. if you actually like REAL boba, don't bother. milk teas simultaneously lack tea flavor and milk flavor- it's like bitter and saccharine sweet water. some boba options are actually pre made crystal boba, so it just bites through and is not chewy tapioca. their actual tapioca boba is poorly cooked and flavorless. the taiyaki is clearly not made with glutinous rice flour, and is neither crispy on the outside nor soft and chewy on the inside, tastes like soggy whole wheat. save your money, and go to san jose for real food. read more

They moved locations! The new place next to Erik's Deli is really really really nice. The taiyaki and drink options are the best in Santa Cruz County. My family visited Soul Sweets Dessert House this afternoon and enjoyed three amazing treats. My oldest son got one custard waffle filled with whipped cream and sprinkles. The custard waffle was freshly made and was warm, crunchy, and delicious. My youngest son got Marianne's rainbow sherbet in a sugar cone. The quality and taste was great. My nephew got a cookies and cream flavored "snow", which is their take of a milkshake. It was incredible and the portion size was giant. From one great business to the next. Formerly Sushi Blossom, this new dessert place fills the Asian dessert and boba void in Scotts Valley. We stopped by for their grand opening on 12/1 & were happy to see it's owned by the same owners as the previous business. Their tai yaki and classic waffles were delicious. We got the tiger milk tea latte with boba and it was a bit too sweet for me, but we'd had their signature milk tea when it was sushi blossom and I really liked that one. They also had a sample of their passion fruit tea, which was also delicious. They were gracious with our group and our rambunctious toddlers (who were clearly cooped up on the rainy day that it was), and even gave the kiddos balloons to take home. My girlfriend loves this place, so i stop and grab her a drink when i'm out and about. Today i stopped in and ordered her tigermilk tea, and asked for an unsweetened jasmine green tea. The girl taking the order asked twice if i wanted anything in my tea, to which i responded "no thank you" both times, "just the tea." Given that their small lobby was full, i just grabbed straws and my two drinks when they came up. Once i was back in my car, i took a sip of my tea and realized that it was sweetened. No big deal, mistakes happen. I went back in and told the girl at the counter that i had asked for an unsweetened jasmine tea, and that this one was sweetened. The girl looked through the tickets, pulled up mine and said, "no, it says sweetened." I acknowledged that it very well may, but i ordered it unsweetened. She just stood there looking at me blankly and repeated that it said sweetened. Given that there were other people waiting on their drinks, i wasn't going to make a scene and hold them all up. I simply shrugged my shoulders, said, "OK" and turned around and walked out - leaving the incorrect order on the counter. My girlfriend will now have to enjoy these on her own - i won't be returning. *Update 5.2.21 - Updated rating to three stars as the owner went back and refunded the cost of the drink after reading my review. I'll still be steering clear to avoid any similar occurrences, but thank you for making it right. read more

I really wanted to like this place as I frequently I drive to San Jose for good boba. The inside is adorable and the man and woman were very sweet. The man steeps the tea fresh and they use real sugar which is great! There is a good size menu, as well as ice cream served. I got the House milk tea with boba and my friend got the Taro milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. The Taro milk tea was alright, tasted like vanilla water. My house milk tea was terrible and unfortunately I threw it away. I will try this place again in a few months as maybe I tried the wrong thing, but until then I'm going to continue my drive over the hill to SJ. read more

I like this place! I do have an issue with the cups though...the drink size is insane, and it's made of thick plastic. The kids' drink size looks like a regular 12 or 16 oz drink, and there is a separate drink menu for that size. There is only one other size, which is gigantic. It is at least 24 ounces if not 32. I really think that there should be smaller sizes, or they should offer more drink options for the kids size. Other than this, the service and drinks are good :) read more

I've been supporting this place since it first opened at the old location and followed it to the new location, but I'm not a fan of how they've been steadily jacking up the prices and decreasing in quality, including charging for just regular tapioca pearls so it's impossible to get a drink for under $6-7, the cups are now completely stuffed full of ice, and the tea tastes watered-down. The ice cream is also super expensive for a very small quantity. I know inflation is a thing, but the increase is well beyond that, so I get the impression whoever runs this place is trying to cash in on their growing customer base instead of just run a successful business. I definitely think twice before coming here now. read more

Really good boba drinks. I sort of wish they offered nonplastic cups for people that drink their tea there. The music is a bit loud if you want to work there, but other than that the drinks are great. I like the red bean and custard taiyakis as well. I always order the honeydew slush with boba and it has been great every time! The honeydew flavor is always my go-to when getting boba but It doesn't seem to be that popular and I have a hard time finding it when I'm in the Bay Area. I love this place and I cannot get enough. It's nice to have a premium boba place in Scotts Valley. The teas are flavorful and the presentation is on point (they use real dried roses in their rose tea). The mochi waffles are served warm with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
