I'm updating my previous review because our most recent visit unfortunately changed my overall impression of this place. I've always liked this spot as a late-night eatery, and the food itself is still good, the broth is flavorful, and the noodles and other dishes have generally been enjoyable. That's why I was especially disappointed by how our most recent visit was handled. We arrived around midnight and put our name on the waitlist. There were a few parties ahead of us, and around 12:30 AM, the host came out and explained that at that point, seating was no longer guaranteed, despite the restaurant being scheduled to close at 1:30 AM. We decided to continue waiting and were eventually seated around 1:00 AM. We ordered immediately, and our food came out shortly afterward around 1:15 AM. At exactly 1:30 AM, while we were still finishing our meal, our server came over and said that they were closing and asked if we wanted boxes for the remaining food. Technically, it was phrased as a reminder and an offer to provide boxes for our food, but the implication was very clear: we needed to leave. That was what made the situation particularly uncomfortable. We completely understood that the restaurant was closing and had no intention of staying past closing to socialize or linger. We were literally still eating the food we had just ordered around 1:15 AM. We had only been seated for about 30 minutes, ordered immediately, and were already nearly finished when the server approached us. We had also already paid our bill. The timing just left an awkward feeling. If the restaurant closes at 1:30 AM and customers who are seated close to closing are expected to be completely finished and out by that time, I think that should be communicated before seating them. It would have allowed us to decide whether waiting until 1:00 AM was worthwhile. I also understand that employees need to finish their shifts and close the restaurant on time, and I respect that. My issue is more with the overall communication and the way the situation was handled. Being seated at 1:00 AM, ordering immediately, receiving our food around 1:15 AM, and then essentially being told at 1:30 AM that it was time to leave made the experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. This isn't a review based on the food, the food is still good. It's about the overall experience and customer service during this particular visit. Unfortunately, what should have been a nice late night meal ended with an awkward feeling that stayed with us after we left. Because of this experience, I can no longer give this location the five stars I previously gave it. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because I do think the situation could have been handled much more smoothly and with clearer communication upfront.
Considering the reviews, the food was somewhat below expectations, while still being fine. I had the filet mignon garlic noodles. I just found it overall a bit aggressive and over seasoned, with not a lot of layers or subtleties in taste, which is usually a sign to me that the cook is substituting salty strong flavors in the place of more depth of flavors. So it's kind of like catering to a lower common denominator and that approach may satisfy many, without anyone really being impressed by the result. But perhaps expecting subtle refined flavors is too high a bar for a chain type of Asian food place - maybe. While I did like the noodles and the sauce, the filet mignon entree portion was something more along the lines of what I'd find/expect at a Panda Express. Which isn't terrible, as I like Panda, but I just expected more with the high rating. The place is clean and modern and seemed newer, but the overall vibe was more impersonal, quick-serve, corporate. If someone wanted to meet and eat here, I'd be fine with it. But I also wouldn't go out of my way to eat here or necessarily suggest it if I were meeting a friend out for lunch.
After seeing the raving reviews of their garlic noodles, I convinced my husband and our daughter to come dine here with me while we're in the area. We arrived a little before 7pm on a Saturday. We're surprised to see so many Asian restaurants at this location! While the parking lot in the front was packed, we're able to find some empty spots at the back. The inside of the restaurant looked nice and modern. There's no wait and we got seated immediately. It appeared that their tables didn't have designated servers. While we could get help from any server, it could be quite confusing when we got asked the same questions from different people. Service was friendly, anyway. We each ordered a different garlic noodle. I had the Pan Seared Salmon with Garlic Parmesan Cheese sauce. It came with yummy Grilled Cajun Zucchini. The salmon was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside while moist inside. It's tasty on its own even without the delicious garlic parmesan sauce. The noodle was garlicky and flavorful. I had a small piece of my husband's filet mignon beef, and it's pretty good with a kick to it. Our daughter's Sauteed Veggies & Tofu looked good as well, but she said the sauce from the vegetables made her noodles soggy and not as desirable, and she preferred the noodles on our plates better. Our fellow Yelpers didn't disappoint, now we know where to go next time we're craving for garlic noodles.
Been here a few times already and always left full and satisfied. The beef cubes flavor was on point. What made it better was the rice made to perfection that I had even asked for another one to go. They charge me for it but well worth it. The green sauce came with the dish was spicy a bit too spicy for me, but adds great flavor the dish. The pho never misses. The broth is so good with out any additional sauce and the meat melts in your mouth. This location opens late past midnight so makes it not the just the spot to go to when all other restaurants are closed but one that leaves you satisfied, for sure. The service is also great, never had a bad experience. The place is kept clean and simple which makes turning tables over fast. They added more items to their menu now which is perfect for any cravings here.
Stumbled upon this place for pho and it was solid. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We got the Pho Brisket ($17.95) and Pho Meatballs ($16.95). The pho came out fast and the broth was comparable to my go to spot in Westminster. I only wish they added more meat! Other than that, it was good and satisfied my pho cravings.
My friend and I recently had a late lunch here to celebrate her birthday. I ordered the shaken beef with garlic noodles, and it was delicious. The steak was cooked medium, very tender, and seasoned perfectly. It paired really well with the garlic noodles, which were simple but flavorful. The dish comes with a side of Peruvian aji sauce, and it was very tasty. My friend also ordered the shaken beef, but with white rice instead of noodles. For appetizers, we ordered the fried pork bao. They were packed with flavor and so good that I would come back just to order them again. The restaurant is small, but very clean. It might be difficult to find seating if you're visiting with a large group. The customer service was okay but could use some improvement. The staff didn't check on us very often during our meal.
I love that there's another late night pho stop close by. Something about pho after 10 pm just hits different. I came here with a group of friends and luckily when we got there, it was not busy but man does that waitlist fill up fast around dinner time. The food came out pretty quickly and to my surprise was very authentic tasting! I wasn't in the mood for meat today so I opted for the vegetable pho with soft tofu and it still hit ... but my friends got the brisket pho and combination and man did it smell good... I'll definitely have to give that a try next time. Around $15 a bowl so still cheaper options out there but I love that it's open late and regardless of price is delicious and authentic
Soup shop is a gem you must try. It's at a shopping center with other food spot but don't be fooled. If you're in the area and craving PHO this is the spot. First of all it feels like home severs/host definitely made you feel welcomed. Second the food and OMG the PHO was amazingly delicious. The fresh herb and broth definitely hit the spot. And third the Food.
Even though it was hot yesterday, so was craving pho. But I also wanted garlic noodles so I got both with some egg rolls so I could have some leftovers for later. I'm super happy quality and service is still there after a year from my first visit. Place is still super clean and enjoyed the tunes they were playing. I'll be back for sure.
It's great that it's open late and satisfies the pho craving if you're in the area. The pho is decent but the broth didn't taste as authentic as other places where it's bolder. There's a decent amount of meat in the Combo pho. The server came to take our order but that was the only time we saw them. The ambiance is clean and modern. Great late night snack option. They're open until midnight. The food overall is decent. The pho broth was piping hot and had a decent flavor. The meat portions were lacking and we subbed out one protein for another in the combo pho and were charged a Fee for swapping. The pictures looked nothing like the food that was served. Misleading for sure. Service was quick but once you get your order taken thats about it. No water refills, no check, it's you go up to the counter and figure it out. At least its new and modern inside but defintely doesn't give you that authentin pho vibe. There are lots of parking spots out front which is good.
Food was fantastic, but that filthy front door handle completely ruined the entrance. Cleanliness matters just as much as what's on the plate!

Found this place on Yelp and it is located in a large plaza with several great eateries. We arrived before they even opened but they welcome us in. We ordered Jasmine Milk Tea and Cucumber Limeade and one Pork Bao to share. The Bao filling was amazing and the crust was very flaky and yummy. We both ordered Garlic Noodles, one with Shaken Beef, Filet Mignon and one with Baby Back Ribs. Wow!! So good. Wait staff was great and accommodating. Our only complaint is that the napkin dispenser is at the table but the napkins are so small that you end up using several of them while eating!! By the time we left, the place was packed with people waiting. Ok, bye. read more
Love, love, love how this restaurant is open late! Sometimes, I want a hearty meal that has rice and soup at night. So I am super glad that I stumbled upon this gem! Service was fast and servers were quite attentive even though it was busy. I like how the menu also has illustrations for each item-- such a well thought out menu for visuals. The foods and drink came out around the same time. The broth of the pho was seasoned perfectly and the filet mignon with the rice plate was also cooked to the right texture. Crispy egg rolls were also on point. The jasmine honey green tea with sea salt cream was soooo good and this is coming from someone who loves iced teas and milk teas! Location is easy to find with a lot of parking. We went pretty late around midnight. The waitlist went by super fast. Employees here are really friendly, and service here is quick! It's very clean and spacious here, and very busy for good reason too! The pho was phenomenal! The broth was delicious by itself. We were a party of 5 and we devoured our bowls. Honestly the reviews speak for themselves! The ribeye pho was really good and the price was very reasonable (18$ ) and the broth itself was so smooth and delicious the meat was tender and so buttery. The Cajun garlic fries were honestly 10/10 they are accompanied by the green sauce that has a sweet and spicy kick that pairs well with the fries. They have a variety of dishes including fried rice, garlic noodles, and an assortment of drinks. Overall it was my first time trying it and the place is very clean and "fancy" for dates, family dinner, or even a friend day !! They have bathrooms as well ! read more

I came here after a basketball game since they are open late. The brisket pho had good broth and lots of meat but little noodles. I felt like I was eating more onion slices than I had of noodles. The shrimp fried rice had zero flavor and lots of peas. Do not recommend this dish, usually the fried rice is a safe choice. read more
This eatery is perfect for a late night pho fix. This location is open till 1:30 am and there's usually a wait even during late night weekdays. Parking is readily available since its located in a strip center which includes complimentary Shell EV charging. The pho here is reasonable, portions are generous and served piping hot. My faves here are the beef ribs or combo pho. The restaurant is modern and the service is on point. Overall, a solid choice to satisfy your pho fix after a concert or sporting event. read more
We tried the pho here this weekend, pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good and a good option if you're in this area as the pho is pretty authentic. The ribeye steak was too tough but I really like the tendon. I'd come here again. read more
Was recommended this spot by my cousin and wow some of the best pho I've ever had. The pho combo is amazing and the beef rib was amazing. I would recommend the beef rib and the brisket the most it's super flavorful. The service was really good but also took kind of long but it was really busy so I don't blame them. Absolutely loved their garlic fries,came with a green savory dip. Not pictured is the brisket pho I got, felt very clean and fresh tasting :) The indoor deco is super modern and bright. Service was also very quick and attentive. read more

OPEN CRAZY LATE!!! Like 1:30AM late! I'm glad places like this recognize people like to eat late ESPECIALLY, if it's pho on a cold evening! The Pho selection was amazing! the menu HAS PICTURES! this was super helpful on ordering... I had the chicken wings and the Prime Rib Pho. the meat was on the side like a stir fry in a skillet. Yes, the photo matched the food that came out. And speaking about the dining area, the decor was definitely different from your normal pho joints. A+ on the food here. read more

I've been here a handful of times and it's my favorite place for oxtail pho in the area! I'm unsure if it's because I always go at the end of night, but they always give a TON of oxtail which I'm soooo grateful for. Also very thankful for it being "open crazy late". Service is decent, drinks are meh. Wish there were even more items on the menu. read more

The line was long, but we went for it! We tried the corn appetizer (sans crispy onions to make it gluten free) and it as interesting. Similar to elote, but we both agreed it was almost too big to be an appetizer. We had quite a bit leftover. My husband had the honey green tea- it was delicious! We both had beef based Pho and agreed that the brisket was more flavorful and softer than the ribeye. Both were gluten free and very filling! The service was attentive and friendly. read more
Had this for dinner for the first time on a Friday (7/11) and it was delicious! Had the Filet Mignon Rice Plate and boy was it tasty!!! Enjoyed every bite with the sauce and it was such a great portion for the price. My husband got the Pho with the rib bones and he enjoyed it as well! We got the egg rolls and garlic fries for the appetizers and they were soo good as well. The garlic fries also came with the green chimichurri sauce and it was perfect, I devoured it. If you're craving for an Asian fusion place, highly recommend coming here! The service is wonderful with great servers. Food came out timely. Can't go wrong with some pho! Been wanting to try this place since college and I'm so glad I tried it recently. There's plenty of seating here and it's open up late for your late night soup cravings. Walking in, its very modern and the menu's are very visual with a bunch of pictures of almost every menu item. I got the Pho Chicken and no complaints on this. Just your classic pho. We did order the House Fried Rice and it was so bad, im sorry but it was so buttery. I didn't have the courage to say anything but it tasted so chemically. Not sure if this is a specific style of fried rice but I didn't like it at all. Probably will skip on this next time and get something else. Although this was a miss, the music was not, such good EDM music, we were just vibing and eating! read more

Really really good. I only have good things to say about this place. Actually, I think my only gripe is that they seat us so close to other people when on the right side of the restaurant, but that's okay. The food really does make up for this. The menu is really nice and has a bunch of pictures, and the restaurant decor makes it feel like you're almost eating fine dining in a way. It's all well put together with the lighting and all. I love the fried chicken... it's probably my favorite dish here. Highly recommend! read more

Really great spot, especially for cold rainy days. They have a nice selection of soups like pho and noodle dishes in case soup isn't your thing. We got the egg rolls, pho, and the salmon noodle veggie dish. The green tea with salt foam was amazing! Our kid enjoyed the food as much as we did, and portions are large so we got leftovers to take home and enjoy later as well. Large open clean dining space. Super friendly and attentive service, we will be back soon! read more

It was popping late at night! It was a bit of a wait but worth it. We got the pho, cauliflower appetizer, and baby short ribs garlic noodles. Cauliflower was so good! It's like fries haha. But healthier haha. Very good and flavorful. The garlic noodles was so spot on. So so good. The meat was so good and tender and falls off the bones. Since it's been getting a little chilly, I just had to stop by Soup Shop to get something nice and hot to eat. Looking at the menu, there are so many items to choose from! The menu includes many high-quality visuals to see what the options are. I ended up going with the Pho Veggies with the hard tofu along with a Jasmine Milk Tea. You can choose between hard tofu or soft tofu which I thought was nice. The portion size for the pho is quite large but I wished that the broth had more richness. It was still good nonetheless! I've tried the Pho Combination before and the broth is very rich and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the Jasmine Milk Tea. If you like the 7Leaves Jasmine Milk Tea, you might find yourself liking this one as well. Especially since Soup Shop is open late at pretty late at night, I will be coming be back again! read more
Needed a quick bite around this neighborhood and found Soup Shop on Yelp. The ambiance is modern and chic, nothing like a traditional pho restaurant. It is very clean pleasant. The two of us shared Crispy Egg Rolls, Pho Rib Bones, and Pho Chicken Thigh. The Egg Rolls were really crispy and tasty, not greasy at all. The bean sprouts, basil, jalapeño, and lime were very fresh. The Pho Rib Bones came with two meaty pieces of ribs which was tender and delicious. That is rather generous. The Pho Chicken Thigh also came with many pieces of thigh meat. The broth was not chicken broth, it was either beef or vegetable, and we went with beef. The broth kind of made it not taste like chicken pho. Service was good, food came out rather quickly and our water was filled before we asked. They could really improve by adding a bit of flexibility to their pho menu. All the pho bowls were single item only (for example, Pho Brisket , Pho Ribeye, Pho Meatballs, etc.), no combination of any sort. It would also be nice if the chicken pho's could be served with chicken broth. Prices were reasonable. All in all it is a decent soup shop. read more

This place is always busy! As soon as they open until they close & they stay open late! They don't have a Yelp Waitlist, but they have a clipboard inside where you add your name and party size. I don't know if it's worth the wait, but it was pretty good. My husband and I came here for dinner, wanting something brothy, if that's a word haha. I ordered the 2 rib pho and he ordered the pho combo. Onions on the side of course! The service was great and food came out very quick and hot! The broth lacked a little of flavor, but overall it was really good. Would I go back? Yes, but not to wait more than 30 mins. It's on a spot with other great eats, so if the wait is too long & you don't have the patience, please take your name off the list! Haha read more

I had to bring my family to try Soup Shop because I had such a good experience here! My family and I shared a plate of Garlic Noodles with Shaken Filet Mignon, Pho Brisket, Jasmine Milk Tea, and Green Thai Tea. The Garlic Noodles with Shaken Filet Mignon was so good. The garlic noodles are the perfect amount of garlicky, it's not overwhelming with garlic flavor. There was also some parmesan cheese sprinkled on top which was nice! The meat was cooked to perfection, there was no fatty bits, rubbery bites, or hard to chew parts. The peppers and onions were cooked great, and they tasted amazing with the meat. The green sauce was so good tasting to dip your meat in. The Pho Brisket was great too! The broth was good, there was no need to add sriacha or hoisin sauce. The noodles weren't too soft or too hard, and the meat in the broth was great. There were no rubbery bits as well. The Jasmine Milk Tea and Green Thai Tea was good, but I preferred the Jasmine Milk Tea because it was on the sweeter side! The restaurant is so clean and organized. There's a booth when you first come into the restaurant where you can add your name on the waitlist. For a Friday night, there was about 6 parties ahead of us on the waitlist. The employee did inform us that it was a 15-20 minute wait so don't let the long wait list push you away. The restaurant has lots of bright lighting, and there's tons of booths and tables that could accompany a party of 4. The employees are so nice! They're very busy but somehow still attentive. There's always an employee refilling waters, employees taking orders to tables, employees taking orders from tables, and employees at the booth. I would come here again! There's tons of food and drinks on the menu that I want to try, and I will recommend anyone I know to please try this restaurant at least once! read more

Having dined in this plaza many times, we decided to try a new restaurant, and opted for Soup Shop. I love soup, so I was excited. Even though the parking lot was somewhat full for a weekend, we found a spot without too much trouble. The interior is gorgeous, much more elegant than your average pho place. Service was also very attentive and friendly. The menu is beautiful with photos of nearly every dish shot and staged professionally. The menu was extensive with fairly competitive prices too. We opted for the combination pho (I added a beef rib and an oxtail on the side), as well as the cubed filet mignon pho. The pho broth was nice and hot plus very flavorful when it arrived, though it did not stay hot long enough for me throughout the meal (always an issue after adding cold bean sprouts and lime juice). The filet mignon was served in a separate bowl, and the marinade sauce was a bit too sweet for my tastes. The beef rib and oxtail were fall-off-the-bone tender though. I also liked how cute all the utensil containers were at the table, and how clever it was to have the dessert items listed on the table number sign so you didn't have to ask for the menu again. For dine-in, they even offer a free noodle refill for pho, though the bowl was pretty big so I did not need more noodles to be full on this visit. Overall, a solid pho restaurant with an above average interior and excellent food + service! P.S. As the words on the window indicate, Soup Shop is "open crazy late" until 1:30AM every day, definitely super late for Cerritos! read more

Soup Shop Cerritos11316 South Street, Cerritos, CA 90703 Visited: Wednesday, March 4, 2026 - 7:10 PM This was my first visit to Soup Shop Cerritos, and overall it did not disappoint. We ordered the Veggie Pho ($17.45) and the Ribeye Pho ($15.95) (with no cilantro and extra greens), along with two Pork Bao buns ($7.45), Hot Honey Jasmine tea ($5.50), and a Sprite ($2.95). The subtotal came to $49.30, and after tax the bill was $54.11. The pho broth was excellent--rich, clean, and deeply flavorful. I would honestly say the flavor rivals some of the best pho I've had anywhere, which is saying a lot. The ingredients tasted fresh and the bowls were generous. Another thing that stood out was the service, which was better than most Vietnamese restaurants I've visited. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The decor was also a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is very stylish, modern, and aesthetically pleasing, and everything looked extremely clean and well-kept. It feels more upscale than your typical pho spot. Honestly, this place is very close to a five-star experience. The only thing holding it back for me is the price. After tax and tip, the total for two people came out to around $63, which feels a bit high for a vegetable pho and a rare beef pho. While the food was very good, I think that kind of meal should land closer to the $40 range rather than the $60 range. Still, if you're looking for top-quality pho in a clean, stylish setting with great service, Soup Shop Cerritos is absolutely worth trying. I'll definitely be back--just hoping the pricing eventually comes down a bit. read more
Late night deliciousness. By far one of the best pho places I've tried. The cherry on top is that they're open until 1:30am!! We got the pho brisket which was super tender. Broth was nothing too special but it definitely satisfied us. The other pho we tried was the rare beef which was so fresh & cooked perfectly in the hot soup. The fries were average but the chimichurri sauce made up for it!! BTW, their drink options look really good & promising. Not the nasty powder flavored milk tea or something. Service was quick! All the servers were so helpful & kind! For a Wednesday night, the place kept busy. Such a nice place to catch up with friends/family. Will be back for my pho cravings read more
We went on a Sunday evening and the place had a line. So we came back at 11pm to order. And again, there's a still a line! However the food is certainly worth the wait. Best fried chicken plate ever. Also their crunchy pork bun is out of this world. We actually came back a few days later to try their pho brisket it was AMAZING. Definitely found a new favorite soup place that I will be taking my friends and family. I just wished they had more seating as they have great ambiance. Customer service is great as well read more

The pho here is solid, and their appetizers--like the chicken wings and fries--are also worth trying. I also tried their garlic noodles and it was pretty good. Service is good and quick, and the ambiance is great with plenty of indoor seating. I always come back when I'm craving a good bowl of pho, and I especially like that they stay open late. read more

Its one of those Pho places that closes at 1:30am so if you get that late-night craving and cant find a Pho that open...well... this one is. THE BAD... a couple things .. 1 i arrived around 9pm.. there was a line outside in a cold night waiting to go dine in..so obviously I put my name on the waiting list... it took around 30 mins to get seated .. so im in around 9:30-ish seated ..took a while but got my order taken... waited a while to get our food but im not complaining..that just means theyre making it from scratch ..I totally respect that.. but here's my issues .. 1 Soup Spill on the floor..it was there when I got in.. it was still there when I left..no effort to clean it..the Staff just walked over it over and over and over. I took a pic that im attaching and hopefully you can see it. 2... a Super Busy Dine in restaurant that remained open but with a Not Working Bathroom.. thats a Health Code Violation and everyone knows that.. they should have switched to take out under California Law but remained Open for Busy Dine in. When asked about the Bathroom.. they said they weren't going to be able to get it fixed until Tommorow and I know theres plenty of 24 hour Bathroom Plummers but they just chose to make business over following the Law. Health departments (like Los Angeles County Department of Public Health) interpret and enforce those sections like this: If a dine-in restaurant has no working restroom, it's not in compliance with §§114250 and 114276 If the issue isn't immediately fixable, it can rise to a health/sanitation risk So inspectors may require the business to: Stop dine-in service, or Close entirely, depending on severity "Takeout only" is basically a workaround allowed by inspectors, not a line written verbatim in the law. im not dropping this..sorry From what i described: They knew the restroom was out of order Told me it wouldn't be fixed until the next day after I had already ordered and was waiting a while for my food.. Continued full dine-in service during a busy period Did not inform customers before seating them That lines up with: Violation of §114276 (not operable) Likely non-compliance under §114250 And failure to adjust operations as required under §114407 im going to step away from the negative .. now the positive THE GOOD: I know why there was a long line outside ..especially on a Cold Full Moon Night .. because the Phos are Amazingly Delicious. Ive been to many Pho restaurants and this one Takes 1st. the only issue is the amount of noodles ..its not much like most but you get more delicious Bone Broth.
