The brisket was tender, the pork belly had the perfect balance of crispy and juicy, and the bulgogi was packed with amazing flavor. We usually go to King Chang whenever we're craving gopchang, but Seoul Belly might just be tied as my new favorite spot; especially for their large beef intestines. We stopped by for dinner on the Fourth of July after landing at LAX and gopchang was the only thing on our minds. Since it was just the two of us, the service was impeccable. Huge shoutout to Daniel and Suhyeon for their warm hospitality and attentiveness throughout the meal. We ordered half small and large with a side of pork belly. Since I did ask him that I didn't want the $21.99 cause I figured that was definitely More than what we got usually right? We got billed $90+ for half and half and a side of pork belly which I know was one piece only since I saw 6 one inch cut pieces. Nothing more. That annoyed me. But it's not bad food. I think it's good. The best? No.... The price? I mean where is it cheap nowadays. Just bummed that we got charged more than I was told. If that is the $21.99 that's on the menu for pork belly then don't order that since that's only 6 cut pieces of pork belly for $22. That's highway robbery already. I used to be a frequent visitor of Songhak, so when I found out that Seoul Belly was opening and also have intestines, I knew I have to check them out! We ordered a medium combo of large intestines half spicy and half regular. We also added an order of spicy pork belly. Everything was so good and you can tell they use high quality intestines/meat. Food menu features pre grilled meats that get a final sear on an iron grill heated by sterno packs. We got a mixture of snowflake pork belly (it's pre-scored to tenderize) , thin sliced beef and a side of small intestines. The server brought out the raw beef and the pork and intestine half done , to finish cooking on the grill. The dumplings with beef stew is brought out arranged very carefully on a round metal plate, then hot broth poured over all to keep cooking, also using sterno packs to heat. Delicious. The table shared a cabbage stew, and a cold noodle soup. The meal included steamed egg that had some fish roe and seaweed. Side dishes of white kimchi, sliced onions with bean sprouts & potato salad. Very satisfying meal. Parking is shared with apartments in the rear, so watch where you are parked - some spaces are designated tenant only. This brand new Korean restaurant really set the bar high when it comes to BBQ. Seoul Belly just opened in Artesia and already this small but mighty restaurant is filling up fast with patrons. They start you off with jiggly steamed egg and cabbage soup before they bring out a beautiful plate of your choice of meats to cook on a stone grill. The staff here cooks the meat for you tableside to utter perfection. All the cuts of meat are so high quality, but my favorite had to be the thick-cut pork belly that you can get mala spicy. It was not too spicy at all and the marinade was a 10/10. They also have everything from spicy cold noodles to volcano mala intestine stew that has intestines, pork belly, thin rice noodles--what a flavor bomb. Second time coming here and my fiance and I love the place. Both times we got thin pork belly (we love pork belly). I love the mix you get on the meat platter and its perfect amount for both of us. It comes with side dishes and on the platter is bean sprouts, corn cheese, egg, onions, garlic and mushroom mixed. This place took over Songhak, which also served intestines. It was the favorite restaurant my friends and I loved to go to every so often. We were very sad to hear Songhak closed but were ecstatic to see that it was replaced by another intestine restaurant. The inside didn't change very much, if at all. I think the tables were switched out and that was it. The restaurant itself is not very spacious and can seem crowded if it is full. There are many small tables and only one table for a large group of 8 (adding more chairs to this table would make it overcrowded). Service is fast, but the restaurant wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday night. We got an order of the spicy small/large intestines, thin pork belly, and then added on an order of regular large intestines. At the end we ordered fried rice to finish what was left. I would say the spicy intestines is very saucy with a medium level of spice (probably very spicy to those that don't normally eat spicy). It's actually pretty delicious, but it's definitely drenched in sauce. The regular intestines didn't stand out to me unfortunately, and that's odd because I LOVED the regular intestines from this restaurant's predecessor Songhak. I don't think I would order the pork belly again, but it was a good "filler meal" if you got tired of eating only intestine. It came with some corn cheese, grilled onions, kimchi, egg, and some bean sprout banchan-style. Anyway, this is a close contender for Songhak and I hope as time goes on, they can improve even more with their delicious intestine dishes! read more

Employees are super nice and come around to help cook and cut your meat. When your food comes out, they lay it out of the grill for you. The banchan was super good. We did the two meat combo w the cabbage soup and steamed egg. Cabbage soup, don't let it sound boring, because this was actually really good. Their steamed egg was perfect seasoned, and did not disappoint either. For our two meats, we chose pork belly and bulgogi. For the pork belly you can choose thin and thick cut. We chose thick. There were about 9 tables, but this place is pretty new so it wasn't that busy around 9 pm. PRO TIP that took us a few minutes to realize: the chopsticks, spoons, and napkins are in a little drawer on one side of the table. We had the spicy pork belly (which you have the option of getting either thinly or thickly sliced). Although there was banchan with free refills like most Korean restaurants, the pork belly was generously accompanied with even more banchan--yum. It had bean sprouts, corn cheese, soft scrambled eggs, and an onion-green onion-mushroom mix on the metal tray. I usually don't really care for scrambled eggs, but the way they cooked it was so soft, silky, and satisfying. The actual banchan in little side dishes consisted of kimchi, a salad with chili-sesame oil dressing, some kind of green tubed vegetable, bean sprouts, marinated onions, pickled vegetables, and potato salad. The servers were very warm and informative while they were cutting and cooking our meat. Although some of the dishes had red pepper, the heat was pretty low. I can handle spice but my boyfriend can't; however, nothing was overly spicy for him. The server also recommended us the lemon soju because it was a newer flavor, and the taste of alcohol was less noticeable than other sojus. Both of us are definitely fruity cocktails type of people so that was surprising. We were thinking of ordering more in the beginning, but just one order of thinly sliced pork belly was enough to feed the both of us until we had bulging stomachs! Once this spot inevitably becomes more popular, I would recommend carpooling due to the limited parking. Would totally come back here. My boyfriend is kind of picky sometimes but he agreed this place exceeded our expectations.
