Great late night food option. Not a lot of food available late at night and we've been putting off going to this joint. Service was fast and the restaurant was nice and clean. I thought it was a really good bowl of pho and the rib inside was nice and tender. We liked the eggrolls and even ordered the filet mignon with garlic noodles. Both were above average and they also had a great drink selection.

An amazing pho shop in Irvine with excellent quality and fantastic options. We tried the combination pho and the brisket pho. And I have to say if you love trying different kinds of meat, the combination pho is the way to go. Packed with flavor, you get brisket, meatball, ribeye, tripe, and tendon. We also had spicy mango habanero wings, and they were delicious. Deliciously spicy but nothing overpowering. Definitely recommend it as an appetizer. Will definitely be back for a late-night meal.

This place serves a solid bowl of pho. The broth had a nice depth of flavor, the noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the meat was cooked well. My only complaints about the pho itself are that I wish the soup had come out hotter, and there was a giant piece of tripe in my bowl that hadn't been cut down at all. It was awkward to eat and felt like something that should have been trimmed into smaller pieces before being served. Overall, it was still a satisfying bowl. That said, there were a few things that left me confused. I ordered the Pho Combination by pointing to the photo on the menu, which clearly showed a beef rib and was labeled as the combination pho. When my bowl arrived, there was no rib included. Maybe there was some misunderstanding, but it felt a bit misleading. I ended up ordering the rib on the side for an additional $6, and it didn't arrive until I was already halfway through my meal. Our waiter recommended the sautéed scallion corn, so we decided to give it a try. The dish was a bit confusing. When I think of a corn appetizer, I expect either a smaller portion or something that's meant to be shared alongside other dishes. Instead, it was just a large bowl of corn. Since the menu is mostly pho, noodles, and rice dishes, it didn't really feel like it paired naturally with anything we ordered. We basically ended up eating spoonfuls of corn between bites of our meal. The flavor was okay, but nothing memorable, and I think it could have been seasoned more aggressively. The Vietnamese coffee also wasn't my favorite as it had a slightly burnt taste. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean and the pho was satisfying. I was disappointed to learn they no longer offer unlimited noodles,l.

I want start off by saying this restaurant is number #12 for Yelp elites in the US for Pho. I was looking for a late night Pho run, however it was an interesting experience. I ordered Horchata because I was in the mood for something sweet and the drink tasted like water. I also ordered the popcorn chicken per the picture, but I feel like I got bait and switched i.e. the photo that was uploaded. It's definitely very Americanized and more of a fusion flare. I also feel like the server forgot we ordered popcorn chicken, so it came out after we finished eating our main order. The pho broth was a little bland, onions, and lime were excluded from the toppings + I would not go there again for the Pho. A few pros were the menu is very aesthetically pleasing it's almost like a picture book and there are big proportion sizes you can share among people!

Had a great experience at Soup Shop! I ordered the Cajun French fries and the chicken pho, and both were excellent. The pho broth was especially flavorful and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff was also very polite, friendly, and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious comfort food.

This place is decent if it's overcast and you don't want to drive 20 min up the 405 or 5/22 to Little Saigon area. The broth is alittle watery but plus side, it's not salty. The brisket is super thin and tender, but not a lot of meat to noodle ratio. I was still pretty hungry and drank more broth for the protein. My friend ordered the pho combo. The menu pic is alittle misleading because it shows the rib bone add-on. It's a spacious interior and you can also eat in the communal patio outside. The condiments are nicely nestled in wooden stands. I wasn't frustrated with my decision to save time and gas and stay in this area for lunch, but mildly regretted it.

If you're coming from a flight, soup shop is always so good. It has big portions, delicious soup, and of course delicious meat. The meat really is the star of the show, I think every time I take a bite out of it for the first time in a while I always get surprised how good it is and start nodding. Particular the Pho Rib Bones!! I highly recommend that one!! Soup is super flavourful too. Definitely one of my go to spots. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Nothing too crazy but I like the design of it. Haven't tried rice dishes but I would love to one day

Modern Vietnamese restaurant with a great selection and clear, easy to read menu. I rarely highlight a menu, but the pictures (full page high res) were provided for each dish, making our selection easy. The prices were on the higher side, as can be expected for the area (los olivos) and the presentation matched the pictures exactly. The Filet Mignon had a strange cigar smell/taste, but the Rib Bone Pho was exceptional. Stick with the rib eye, oxtail, or rib bone and can't go wrong with their garlic noodles or garlic fries.

Green Thai Tea is soooo delicious. Definitely try it! (they don't do the flower anymore which is a bummer)

I LOVE Soup Shop! As a content creator (@priyapinkypromise on TikTok) I am always looking for the next big thing in OC! Believe me, Soup Shop is it. Firstly, they have great hours! Open past Midnight in Irvine was unheard of, until now! Second, the beef broth is so flavorful and delicious, it's perfect for every bowl including the veggie pho! Third, the green thai tea.. that's all i'm gonna say (yummmm) Fourthly, they have free refill on noodles!! All in All Service is okay. I have been charged for extra food 2 times, I figure since it's so busy mistakes happen. They are usually prompt with fixing their upcharge. The parking is not great, it is in a packed parking lot. Can take 10 minutes to find a parking spot at times. Come prepared for this. Soup Shop in Irvine offers delicious pho and great operating hours- it's definitely worth a try!

Food was pretty good! Combo pho: 8.5/10 valid, Broth wasn't bad but not as rich as vn or others I've had. Big portion and good amount of meat! We switched out the meatball for brisket. $5 extra for one Beefy rib and it was surprisingly tender and actually did fall off the bone and was easy to eat! Unlike other places which deters us from getting the bone cause we don't like to gnaw and work for the meat lol. Garlic noodles and filet minon: 7.5/10 wasn't bad but we both liked the soup more. I will say tho they have good meat! Not chewy. I've had better at other places so idk if I would get this one again. Out of the dishes this one wasn't hot, the noodles were a little cold unfortunately. Popcorn chicken: 8/10 solid no complaints, chicken wasn't dry and it came hot and sides crispy. Jasmine tea sea salt cream: 7/10, I love jasmine but this one was perfumy filmy sweet.. I usual love this type of drink but it was too sweet, as someone who likes strong sweet drinks. Not bad but I've had better.

I visited Soup Shop today for lunch and I was very happy with my combination Pho. The restaurant is new and it has a pretty cool vibe. The Staff were really nice and seemed to be very interested in making sure that we had a good meal and enjoyed our food and the experience, questioning the broth spicyness leves, etc. My favorite type of pho is barbecue pork which they didn't have so I probably would not come back, but I really did enjoy the flavors so we shall see!

Small little restaurant in the same plaza as Whole Foods and Burnt Crumbs. I love their menu. They offer pho, rice dishes, garlic noodles and some appetitizers. It was enough variety to satisfy everyone in our group. The service was quick but the wait can be long. You must be present and sign in on a traditional clip board. We got the ribeye pho and shaky beef. All the beef was tender and the broth was pretty clean/clear. They offer free noodle refills which is nice if you're super hungry. The restaurant has outdoor seating as well but limited heaters. Enjoy!

We had 3 couples, and asked for 3 separate checks. They refused. Said 6 people was a big party that requires a single check with a mandatory 18% gratuity. Come on people. Modern POS systems can handle this in fact a waitress in the 1950s could figure this out. NEVER coming back here again. The managers assertion that we were trying to avoid paying a gratuity is completely false and even offensive. We are all regular 20%+ tippers. All we wanted to do is have each couple be able to pay for their own dinner, which we are able to do wherever we dine. Soup Shop should take the high road and update their "policy." Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Now we will NEVER EVER dine there again. read more

A couple of days ago, after a fun night of bowling, my husband and I were craving something warm and comforting pho or ramen, something soupy and cozy. Since many spots were already closed, we found this place on Yelp called Soup Shop Pho, and we're so glad we did! When we arrived, the restaurant looked new and modern, and as we walked in, I noticed a good number of people dining inside a great sign! The space had a high-end yet cozy vibe, and it smelled amazing. We were greeted and seated right away, which I appreciated. The menu immediately caught my attention it's beautifully designed with photos of each dish, which makes ordering so much easier. I went with the Veggie Pho, and my husband ordered the Filet Mignon Pho. They also have a section dedicated to drinks with equally gorgeous photos. Our server recommended the Passionfruit drink, and it did not disappoint! It was refreshing, perfectly sweet, and the little seeds gave it a fun, light crunch. My only note is that I'd ask for less ice next time since there was a bit more ice than drink but otherwise, it was delicious. I can't wait to try their other drinks next time we visit. Now onto the pho the veggie pho was good and satisfying, but I do think the broth could use a bit more flavor depth. My husband's beef broth, on the other hand, was rich, savory, and full of flavor. It was absolutely perfect. The filet mignon that came with it was cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the best cuts I've tasted in pho. It was easily both of our favorite dish of the night. We also asked for something spicy and were told they had a house sauce. It wasn't too spicy (and my spice tolerance is pretty low!), but it had a really nice flavor that complemented the pho well. Another big plus here is the portion size very generous for the price. Considering how upscale and elegant the interior looks, the pricing is extremely reasonable. It's definitely a great date-night spot for couples or even a cozy meal with friends. That said, I do have a couple of small critiques. First, the utensil setup each table has its own utensil holder, which I personally didn't love because it could easily lead to cross-contamination between guests. I'd prefer if they brought clean utensils directly with the meal instead. Second, about 25 minutes into eating, no one came by to check on us or refill water, which is something that could be improved. Overall though, everyone from the hostess to the servers was kind and welcoming. The food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the prices were fair. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend Soup Shop Pho to anyone local or visiting the area. read more

It's very chaotic environment and the workers work really hard in the fast paced environment so they try really hard, but once the order is taken it's hard to flag anyone down for anything else as they are alsp running tables outside and handling a lot of Togo items. The variety on menu is large they have some fusion type dishes along with traditional vietnamese food. The food here is amazing! This place checks out from its flavors, service, and ambiance. The service is fast, friendly, and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The broth is rich and full of flavors, the noodles are nice and chewy and the beef melts in your mouth! They have so many options. I got the pho brisket and added oxtail on the side. Service and ambiance are great but by far our favorite has been the pho. Combination pho was delicious, however, our favorite has been the chicken pho with the beef broth. Portions are great and you get your food really fast. Great for takeout (haven't had a chance to eat there yet!) Cauliflower and corn were tasty apps! Popcorn chicken could have a been more meaty (flavor was great) but perhaps I was just spoiled by how juicy and tasty the chicken in the pho was. read more

Nope. First time. Will be the only time. Maybe I'm spoiled by the numerous choices in little Saigon and surrounding cities, but this place was not good at all. The beef broth is way too salty. The noodles felt like they were made the night before and started falling apart (you want that nice long noodle semi-chewy texture). Protein portions were less than the vegetables in the soup. Go to pho spot in Irvine. Good quality pho. Usually go for the beef rib pho. Better service that avg viet spot. Parking sucks in this plaza surprisingly. Pricing for a bowl is a couple dollars more that in Westminster area likely due to rent in Irvine. read more

This place checks all of our boxes when we go out to eat! Found it because it was the only Vietnamese food open late, and we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the menu to professional photos and simple options. The prices were amazing and super fast service. I haven't had such a good experience at a restaurant for at least 6 months! Not only was it great from opening the door to ordering, when we got the food we were blown away. On top of the veggie pho, we also got the pork eggrolls, which were probably the best egg rolls I've ever had. I'm so glad Soup Shop just opened in Irvine--it's such a gem right next to Whole Foods. I ordered the pho and paired it with their green Thai tea, which was absolutely refreshing. Their menu itself is gorgeous, almost like flipping through a cookbook, which makes choosing a dish even more exciting. What really stood out to me was the warmth of the owner. She shared how the pho recipe comes from her mother, which gives the food such an authentic and heartfelt touch. Delicious vegetable pho, chicken pho & brisket pho! Free refills on noodles too! Had the honey jasmine green tea it was tasty too! Ate on outside patio to enjoy the beautiful sunny day and was able to sit in the shade as the patio has a nice covered area. Great service as well. Garlic Noodle with Shaken Filet Mignon is so damn good. Sambal Oelek and the housemade Muối Ớt Xanh are chef's kiss with this order. Crispy eggrolls are perfectly lightly crispy. Food is SO GOOD !! I got the Crispy Chicken and Garlic noodles, it was so big we could have shared it. Thai Tea was also delicious. My husband got the cucumber limeade which was also fantastic. Service was great, they checked in with us often and brought extra sauce once our food came to the table. The RESTURANT itself has a great ambiance with music. Looked very clean inside and outside. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. They offer free noodle refills for their pho, which is always a plus. The garlic noodles are great and the popcorn chicken is one of the better ones in the area. The only downside is the service. I've been going to their Anaheim locations for years so I was really excited to hear they'd be opening a location in Irvine! Came for the soft opening today and had the best lunch. The space is clean and relaxing and the staff were quick to seat us and take our orders. They were accommodating throughout the meal which I appreciated. My favorite dish is the shaken filet mignon, which is what I got. It was juicy, flavorful, and the portion size is awesome so I have leftovers to take home. I also tried the Parmesan cauliflower side dish which has some kind of sweet sauce on it that's sooo good. Will be back!! read more

Came in expecting a good bowl of soup and left seriously impressed. The teamwork here is next level. Even with a long line, every single staff member was completely in sync--checking in, communicating, and making sure no customer felt overlooked. Peeked inside and, to my delight, it was a new pho shop having its soft opening. My brother ordered the rib bone pho, while I opted for the garlic noodles with filet mignon. Best Pho I've ever had. So flavorful and free noodle refill is a very special feature bonus. The beef bones is so tender and the meat falls off the bone. So good! Lime ice cream and macha ice cream is a must try. Highly recommended! read more

Biggest pet peeve is when restaurants put a closing time, but actually closes earlier than what they posted. Said last call was 12:15am... then why not just put 12am on your hours so that way u can leave earlier read more
