Goodness. I wanted a sandwich and yelped to find a good place by work. So glad I did. This place is phenomenal. It's not fancy. It's hidden behind some gas pumps, but it's worth the search. I ordered a rescue no onions. I got the larger size and ate every bite. The bread is delicious! I would go and just buy the bread. I may go do that later. Really a tasty sandwich. They gave me a free side of potato salad. I tried it just to see, and I again, ate the whole thing. I ran and told a coworker about this place. We are coming by next week. Really good!! read more

Don't let the fact that this place is next to a gas station deter you! These sandwiches are awesome! They hand-make the bread daily and it is delicious! I could tell the other ingredients were fresh as well. The owners were super nice and friendly! Great for take out or dine-in. Everything was clean, the owner wore a mask and gloves when taking our order and payment. And we were able to stay socially distanced no problem. I saw them cleaning the other tables while we were there as well, making sure to wipe everything down. I could tell they took pride in their food and it felt good to support a non-chain, local restaurant. We will be back! read more

Recently, there has been a change of ownership for Sourdough Bread Deli. The new owners have worked very hard to keep the quality (and taste) of their food the same as before. They've done a great job. Prices have climbed recently but that is pretty true for nearly every restaurant post-pandemic. Still has a small deli atmosphere with owners that are friendly and aim to please their customers. I come here when I can because the sandwiches simply taste great. The bread is unique and delicious. My wife and I recently chose this place based solely on yelp reviews. Trust me, driving by I never would've stopped, based on the modest exterior. What a miss that would've been. I love sandwiches and I have to say that this place is the bomb. It's very simple, letting the food speak for itself. I spoke with the proprietor and was very impressed by her friendliness, the quality of the food, the low prices and the fact that everything was incredibly fresh. The sandwiches are larger than you would possibly think they could be for the money. The bread was very clearly made a couple of hours earlier, and you get to choose the kind you want. What an incredible surprise that I found this wonderful deli/sandwich place! The guy who owns and runs and cooks in this place bakes his own sourdough bread every day. Talk about fresh! And, he uses only the best flour (a special kind of King Arthur Flour)! Their sandwiches are always made just right and their meats and garnishes are fresh and tasty too. They also have salads and cooked lunches with salmon, chicken, etc. and always have fresh avocados! They make fresh ice tea there every day too! Excellent. Sandwiches: Really really really good bread that is warm, chewy, crisp, salty and slightly sour all at the same time. The meats were all very tasty. I had the rescue and my dad had the chicken club. The sandwiches are HUGE so i actually suggest splitting a sandwich. Potato salad and cole slaw were both solid, you can tell they're both made in-house. My husband and I got two sandwiches for lunch: Rescue (turkey, salami, ham) and chicken pesto avocado. It traveled about 20 minutes east and the sandwich held very well on the drive home. The bread is excellent: crust exterior and soft interior. The ingredients were simple, but of excellent quality. Along with each sandwich was a side of potato salad, which had a hint of mustard. I don't like mustard in potato salad but I still enjoyed their version. The deli is a simple, casual and no-frills spot. The owner is very friendly and nice to talk to. We learned from him that the bread in house is made with high quality ingredients, which is definitely evident in the delicious bread. This was an increasingly difficult place to rate, only because there was nothing wrong with anything. But nothing exceptional either. This place is exactly as advertised as a small Deli and they give you a great deal for the price. The lunch special comes with a medium sandwich, salad/chips and a drink for under $6. I ordered the chicken salad and was satisfied by the size of the sandwich. The bread was probably the highlight of the meal as it was warm and freshly made sourdough as the restaurant name implies. So glad we found this place. Had the sausage and peppers sandwich and the chicken cordon bleu. Both were really good sandwiches with great flavor. Owner pointed out that everything is homemade and they only use fresh ingredients. The sausage and peppers sandwich had amazing flavor: nice grilled peppers mozzarella cheese and a great serving of sliced sausage. They cut their round sandwiches in half and it's very filling. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was just as delicious with chicken, slices of ham and flavorful cheese and sauce. It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about the sandwiches we had.
