Hands down they have the best drinks, cookies, macarons, cakes, and now salt bread! I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! P.S. with all these drink places popping up in the area...we still think the drinks at Always Yours not only taste better, but also are of higher quality.

Order the ube cheesecake, butter toffee cookie, and a assam milk tea with boba. The order came out quickly. Ube Japanese cheesecake is tasty, not too much ube taste. It is super light and moist, love how it is not too sweet. For the assam milk tea, I prefer it with more tea flavor. The drink was ok, the matcha drinks look better. The butter toffee cookie was the best, it was flavorful, the toffee has added toasted nutty flavor with some sugar. I would get a box full. Overall, has a great variety of baked goods.

A hidden gem in Castro Valley!…read more I don't know if this place is actually a hidden gem or if everyone already knows about it, but it's become one of my favorite spots in Castro Valley. If you're in a rush and want something healthier than the usual fast food, this place is a great option. I've been coming here at least once a week for the past few months, sometimes twice, and the food has always been fresh and high quality. I'm not always in the mood to sit down at a restaurant and risk getting stuck waiting for the bill when I have places to be. Here, I can grab something quick, sit at one of their new outdoor tables and enjoy a good meal before picking up my son from school. Their new poke bowl station makes it even better. You can build your own bowl right from the kiosk, and there are plenty of fresh options. My son is vegetarian, and I always have them make him a fresh avocado roll. It's never taken more than a couple of minutes. The staff is consistently friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they have a surprisingly generous rewards program. It's a bummer to see their Yelp rating isn't higher, but it looks like many of the lower reviews came during their soft opening or when they were first getting started. I can't speak to how things were back then, but businesses need time to work out the kinks. Based on my experience over the last few months, I've got nothing but good things to say. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Castro Valley and want fresh, quality food without the wait of a sit-down restaurant!

Not bad for a store to sell packaged sushi you can take home. Beats me going to other stores and…read moresit down restaurants. Parking can be hard to find especially since it is located in a busy area but once you find a spot it takes less than 15mins to pick and choose your food. I came here a bit late so the many options were already sold out but was able to buy whatever that was left. Good selection from onigiri, musubi, to sashimi platters. I got a couple of rolls but the California roll is a bit pricy compared to other stores. Usually Cali rolls are about half the cost of the regular sushi rolls like cherry blossoms. Overall quality is great, price is reasonable. I loved the mango salmon. Def will be back!

I mainly visited for the fresh roasted peanuts which was the big draw here over the years. Sizes ranging from a small, medium to large bag @ $3.99/lb. The medium will get you a lb. Not sure when they were roasted but still good. Green Valley Produce is a small open store/stand offering fruits, some veggies, (no fresh herbs) and Middle Eastern spices, some vacuum-sealed meats, lentils, olive oils, dates, and some all meat puff pastry and vegetarian pies made locally. I left with some okra, yams, garlic, ginger spices, homemade beef pies...and of course, roasted peanuts. *** Overall 3.5 stars *** Pricing on fruit reasonable considering I just went to the Farmer's Market and noticed Green Valley selling the same Cara Cara oranges for 1.89/lb vs $3.89/lb which will get ya 4 oranges! I'm all for supporting small business but sheesh! Open 7 days a week from 830am - 730pm I wouldn't go out of your way to stop by unless you're wanting some roasted peanuts, reasonably-priced fruit and veggies and in the area. Support small business! Plenty of lot parking in front and located off B Street, next block over from Grocery Outlet

I finally had some down time to stop by on a Saturday lunch, and it was pretty empty since I visited during Ramadan. But the man working behind the counter was so friendly and patient with me. I literally felt like my stomach was bigger than my eyes, I wanted to try everything. But got a few chocolate covered goodies from kunafa to dates to regular dark chocolate for me and my coworkers. EVERYBODY loved it. My favorite hands down was the chocolate covered date. You HAVE to get that one. I only got a single, but I wish I got like five. You can also pick and choose and they provide you a little baggie to put them all in. They also sell turkish delight which he cuts for you by hand. I really enjoyed the pomegranate one as a nut-allergy girlie. The rose water was a little too rose-y for me. Too floral, it tasted like the smell of a grandma with her potpourri. They also sell nuts and other goodies like Palestinian ceramics. I had to get myself a Falasteeni ceramic magnet. It was so beautiful, painted with olives all over. Zaytoun aesthetic! Will def be back to calm my sweet tooth. And always, free Palestine!
