    Mango Sunshine Bowl

It's a cute little shop in Georgetown also connected to a bakery. There is a little sitting room but not a lot. You can go in and order on a computer and then wait for your order to be called. The granola is GLUTEN FREE. The fruit is fresh and you can add certain toppings for free. It always makes me feel full when it's over. The bowls always end up looking beautiful and taste good too.

South block has become my go to smoothie bowl place in the morning! It's so easy to order through their app and pickup in store to skip the line. I always order their Nutella bowl. The mini size is the perfect quantity for me without being too filling. I've been to several locations but love the Georgetown one to start my morning. I soon need to venture out and try other items besides the Nutella bowl, but it's so delicious that I genuinely crave it in the morning. It's always busier on weekends, so I recommended placing those online orders to avoid long waits.

I love the guava smoothie! One of the best smoothies I've had. Also you can order through a self-service kiosk.

Tried the strawberry bowl for the first time and it was delicious! Very tropical, but not too insanely sweet. Added collagen protein which was great and barely added any taste to the bowl. Wanderlust bowl was also good and fresh. Bowls were made quickly which was great. Only gave 4 stars because the bowls can get kinda pricey - with the added protein plus tax & tip, we paid $34 for both bowls.

Tryna be healthy but also have something super delicious? South Block is the place for you. They have a great varieties of açaí bowls and smoothies to choose from, and each are so tasty you won't even realize you're picking in tons of fruits and vitamins! I love their pb&j bowls and smoothies because they're creamy and fruity. I would come here for breakfast or for a snack, although I know some people find their bowls filling enough for lunch. Their offerings are a bit on the pricier side, but that's to be expected for a smoothie place, especially in Georgetown. They do have seating which is shared with Grace Street Coffee and a sandwich place in the same space, and it's a nice atmosphere with great lighting. But if you come during popular hours seating might be difficult, bc this is definitely a hot spot!

Walked into here randomly bc we wanted a quick pick me up after walking around Georgetown. We definitely picked right! More on the expensive side but you also get what you pay for. I got the Mini Bowl $7 ( Acia, banana, almond milk topped with banana, granola and strawberry) with a Blood orange tea. Ughhh so damn good! Always a sucker for some delicious tea. They have plenty of seating outside as well as inside. So take ur pick. Tip: if you're not in the mood for huge portions opt for the Mini Bowl!! It's the perfect mid-day pick me up snack.

Excellent customer service, fresh quality juices, and in a great location! This place is my go to when it comes to doing my yearly juice cleanse. Their juices cleanse and revitalize my body leaving me feeling fresh and renewed!!

One of my go-to places while I was in D.C. over the summer! This place made me fall in love with acai bowls. Their bowls were so refreshing and easy to take-out. If you are ever in Georgetown, I would definitely recommend grabbing a bowl and walking a block down to the waterfront to enjoy your acai. I would honestly recommend all of their bowls, but my favorites were the Warrior Bowl and the Magic Dragon Bowl (for all pitaya lovers).

    Anna X.

South Block has fresh, healthy smoothies, acai bowls, and snacks that are tasty and refreshing. Although it is quite expensive (~10 for a smoothie and ~13 for an acai bowl) the quality is definitely there.

I was surprised to discover that this juice bar shares indoor seating and an outdoor courtyard with a couple of other businesses. It's a very pretty space. The menu was pretty straightforward; pretty much all juices and smoothies unlike some juice bars which branch out a little bit more. It's definitely on the pricier end. The smoothie I got was bursting with flavor. I doubt it had much nutritional value, and the larger size was so big I might sooner not have ordered it, despite being a modest price increase over the regular for 50% more smoothie. It's a very Georgetown-y place, but not a luxury I'd be inclined to indulge in regularly.

What a find!!! This shop is tucked away, but once you find it, you can't miss it again! The food was so refreshing and healthy. They also give you a lot of food, so I'd say the price is definitely fair. They have areas where you can sit and work or hang out with friends. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff, and delicious food -- definitely a spot worth putting on your brunch list. My date made the reservation for us, which turned out to be a very good idea because the restaurant was hopping! Definitely recommend making one ahead of time. We were both in the mood for a cocktail, but decided to explore the mocktail drink menu. He initially considered going with another coffee since it was still early, but ultimately went with an espresso martini. I tried the French 86, and both were great choices. The espresso martini was smooth and well made, while the French 86 was beautifully fruit-forward. And I have to give my date credit -- a man who isn't afraid to try my fruity cocktail! For food, we decided to share the avocado toast to start and added an egg, asking for it to be cooked a little more rather than very runny. We were glad we did because the toast was loaded with greens! It was definitely a little messy to eat, but in the fun, "this is actually delicious" kind of way. Nothing embarrassing... thankfully. He ordered the chicken and waffles, which he completely demolished. The sweet-and-savory combination was a big hit. I went with the French omelette, and it was delicious -- rich, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. I could only manage about half of it along with the salad! Overall, a wonderful brunch experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was attentive, and there were so many tempting dishes coming out of the kitchen that we kept noticing things we wanted to try. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

But, this weekend, I needed reservations for a group and they had what I wanted, when I needed it. So, off to the Tabard Inn we went. The restaurant is charming, quaint and old. It leans heavily into its unique character and not without some success. I felt like I was walking into the past. Old worn wood floors, old upholstered furniture that had seen better days, heck, the place even smelled old. But, rather than turn me off, it was comfortable and inviting, kind of like going to your grandma's house where everything looks like a museum but you know you're gonna get some love there. The staff could not be nicer, better, more friendly. They know how to "do" hospitality and do it well. The food was good, very good. I had the pork shank. I am telling you that I could only finish about 1/3 of it because the serving was so large. And the meat was fall of the bone, cut with your fork, tender. The flavor was rich and intense. Great job! The lamb chops looked fantastic. The fried chicken was just okay according to my spouse. Is the Tabard Inn the best restaurant in DC? No and, guess what, it's not trying to be. It is just trying to satisfy the diners. There is no haute cuisine here. Tried and true dishes, prepared very well. The other thing about this restaurant is its flexibility. You want to dress casual? Do it. You looking for a dress up, old fashioned sort of dining room? Yes, that works too. Romantic dinner with your special guy or gal? Absolutely! They seem to satisfy everyone here. And they definitely satisfied me. Will I go back again? Yes absolutely. Do I recommend the Tabard Inn? Of course!

Novice was the bartender and recommended the Proper burger. I added my typical fries and a Diet Coke. The burger came out quickly. Right off the bat, it's visually amazing. A properly stacked Burger is hard to find. The 2 best things about this burger are 1. The taste , and 2. The form of the burger. The taste is absolutely fantastic. The Gouda paired perfectly with the red onions and the perfectly cooked, juicy beef patties. The aioli was just enough and not overbearing, like looking at a painting of a castle and noticing the subtle blurred background of misty forest. The arugula added another layer of flavor that helped kick this burger into the highest echelons of Burger superiority. And of course, the brioche bun was perfect for this style of burger. It kept its shape while I gently smushed it down in my hands. The entire burger kept its shape and didn't fall apart like some other Burgers will. As I sank my teeth into the first bite, the first thing I noticed was all the flavors blending together. Each bite afterwards just added to my mystified and puzzled bewilderment. The texture was moist and soft. As I chewed and swallowed each morsel, I began to think to myself, is this it? Is my search over? Is this the BEST burger in the country? Never had I tasted such a wonderful burger! (Sorry In-N-Out 2x1, raw onions, chopped chilis, toasted bun, you are no longer on the top of my list). As I neared completion of my newly discovered epitome of gluttonous desires, a feeling of sadness started to take over. I would be done with the burger in a few more bites, and with that, my journey would conclude. I sat there, staring at what would be my final bite. The last bit of pleasure in between my slender fingers, still dripping with the juices God had placed there after it was grilled to perfection in the Kitchen.
