Super nice guy and answered the phone and referred us directly to the tire repair guy!

I was pulled over and my vehicle was towed . I paid nearly $400 the very next day to recover my vehicle from Southern Pride. However, after retrieving the vehicle, I was only able to drive approximately a quarter of a mile before it suddenly stalled. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I discovered that someone had gone under the hood and disconnected the fuel line, causing gasoline to spray directly onto the ignition coils. This created an extremely dangerous situation and could have resulted in an engine fire, especially considering the engine temperature and the presence of exposed fuel near ignition components. Had the vehicle caught fire or required another tow, I would have faced additional costs and potential damage that could have been prevented. I regularly perform my own automotive maintenance and inspections, and I am very familiar with the condition and setup of my vehicle. The fuel line was secure prior to the vehicle being in Southern Pride's possession. This was not a normal mechanical failure or accidental occurrence; the disconnection of the fuel line appears to have happened while the vehicle was under their care. I am requesting that Southern Pride address this matter and provide appropriate compensation for the damages, repairs, and safety risk caused by this incident. I would prefer to resolve this issue directly and professionally before pursuing further legal action. However, there is no reasonable explanation for a critical safety component being intentionally or negligently disconnected while my vehicle was in their possession. My car's battery died and thus required a battery change. I did that but when I attempted to enter the car the doors would not work and it would not turn on. I was lucky to have found Southern Pride Towing. When I spoke to Mark on the phone, I can't describe my relief. He was knowledgeable and personable and was familiar with my vehicle, a corvette, and the type of tow truck it required. He was out of town and couldn't get to it until the next day but I was happy to wait as he was definitely who I wanted to tow it. He came the next morning with Shane and they just did a perfect job, taking great pains to protect my car and transport it in the best possible manner. He was also very fair about pricing. Professional, Friendly and Very Fair I needed a vehicle towed from a narrow steep directive driveway that was even a challenge for a normal vehicle. Southern Pride was able to maneuver their rollback up the driveway and load the vehicle with no problem .I then needed them to bring it to my house which has probably one of the steepest gravel driveways around. 4WD only can get up it and it is 2/10ths of a mile long. This company is very bad. Other then the nice tow truck driver. The mechanic n 1 of the owner n his girlfriend have bad attitude n don't know how to find ways to make the customer happy. If they don't like the customer attitude they get attitudes with the customer instead making thing right. This is a bad company. They will say that they go the extra mile so to say when maybe they didn't. They don't really care about good reviews cuz if they did they would not act the way they do to the customer. My tire blew out driving from NYC to Dallas over Labor Day weekend. Mark and his team at Southern Pride saved the day and turned what could have been a miserable experience into a safe and easy one for me. Mark called around to every tire supplier on Sunday evening and Labor Day Monday until he found a tire that would fit. He sent someone an hour each way to purchase the tire so he could get me one (on Labor Day) and get me back on the road. Mark was so on the ball and straightforward that I decided (wisely) to get two new tires instead of just one. Two days before that, a mechanic in Mechanicsbug, PA (not making this up) told me all my tires were good and safe for the trip, and in the NYC area they would have tripled the price and not worked this hard or fast. Mark was honest, worked hard to help me, and did an amazing job. I recommend to anyone driving from NYC to save your car repairs for a layover in Sevierville, TN for Mark to fix. !!!!!Don't make the mistake I did!!!!!! Needed a bucket truck towed 30 miles, towed as requested, the cost was $25.00 per miles, so if a 30 mile tow at 750.00 is acceptable, they will be a great company to use. They did it on the day requested. I got a second quote from a wrecker service of over 45 years of experience and they said 150.00 would have been adequate. The owner knew the price was excessive, being ashamed to state it when ask and forcing your employee to say it. The owner also made the employee retrieve the check and hid on the passenger side of the wrecker until I began to debate the operating methods. Only then did the owner come around and actually take part in the transaction. The truth is that the owner preys on folks that are stuck between a rock and hard place, when on vacation. Trust me God in heaven will make sure that it all works out in the end. $25.00 per mile is crazy, and are you really arguing that you had the inability to perform normal wrecker service dealing with a few minor common hurdles. Maybe you should watch the weather channels Highway thru Hell and develop skills to handle them. The tires were aired up and not flat (a lie)and delivered as they were found. The trip should have taken 1 hour, you stretched it into 3 to overcharge and gouge myself. Beyond that you asked to get our of re-installing the driveshaft, only installing it after I made you. Paid what you charged because I was foolish to not get a fixed price going in. Offering to lessen the price is pathetic, why not operate on a respectable and upright manner in the beginning. Our van broke down in Pigeon Forge and we called State Farm Roadside Assist. They sent out this guy: Mark Myers. If you are EVER broke down in the Smokies; this is your man. You WANT this guy to come help you! He is kind, friendly and helps in ANY way he can! A class act all around! He came out in a large, meticulously clean tow truck that he was able to haul all 5 of us in to his clean and warm office shop in Sevierville, where he let us stay for a couple of hours while we waited on our ride. We had to leave the van behind for a few weeks so that we could raise up the funds to pay for repairs which WERE very reasonable but we're on a fixed income (he does transmission work!) And we went back to get the van, he had it fixed and ready to go when we arrived. I cannot begin to stress what a good, fair, and honest man Mark is. We need more people like Mark Myers in the world.
