So I was looking for a new place to try and I came across Sovereign... 2 months and 5 star rated with 150+ reviews. Talk about having high expectations before going in. And here was my experience: First thing I noticed being here was the really cool decor Sovereign had. From the little fixtures that gave it a little oriental flair and the wall art. The ambience was great, the customer service was beyond incredible as we were spoken to by 5 different people at different times in that visit. The food did not disappoint at all as it was held to the high standards of their service which was delightfully surprising. Everything here is amazing! I recently went in for some boba teas, and they have upped their game for COVID prevention, making everything touch-less and closing up the inside dining area. We were belly full and happy with Sovereign ordered by delivery. Food arrived in a fancy reusable Sovereign bag and bowls are bigger than other poke bowls I have tried. For me, it was about 1.5 servings so I had some food for the next day. The ingredients were fresh and delicious and I was impressed with wide variety of mix ins and topping options. My partner had spicy tuna and salmon and I ordered build your own bowl with unagi and spicy salmon with no extra charge for brown rice (also available as a base are zucchini noodles, sushi rice or spinach). Mix in and toppings are numerous and include fresh jalapeno, cucumber, edamame, cilantro, Wakame, Daikin, and even mango (perfectly ripe) among more options. Came looking for milk tea...left with a belly full of goodness! Came here with some friends on a whim because a certain other bubble tea/snow ice establishment was closed due to a holiday. We were craving bubble tea and my brother found this new place on Yelp. At first glance the place is very clean and decorated with chalk art. There's even wall space for guests to draw and write. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and they explained the menu. We ordered an original milk tea with tapioca, green tea apple with tapioca, litchi tea with litchi jelly, pork bao buns and build your own poke bowl. The drinks came out really well especially the milk tea. They didn't have an artificial, fake taste. My brother's poke bowl tasted really fresh. For the price, the bowl is a great deal especially with all the toppings you can choose from. The pork bao buns took a little more time to cook but once they arrived we were so impressed by the taste and texture. They were piping hot and were served with a thick savory sauce. So tasty! While they are known for their Poke bowls, I picked up the Chili Beef w/ Cilantro menu item with white rice-good flavor but next time I would try something else. I also tried the Bao bun-so good, you must try! My friend ordered the Fuzhou Aromatic Ribs and she loved it. (For take-out the sauce comes on the side for the ribs.) My order would not be complete without trying their house special (Bacon Egg Bao Bun Burger), I thought it was different but I was not impressed, but satisfied! Finally, to end my glutinous rampage I washed everything down with the Passion Tea with tapioca- I must add this was the cherry on top for this experience for me! The staff was super up-beat and friendly. I can't rave enough about Sovereign. They are my poke bowl go-to, and theirs is the poke that I use to measure all other poke against. First of all, the atmosphere is very artistic, and though it's very fun to look at, there's something about it that invites you to feel relaxed. Even though it's a small space, I'll be excited to sit inside whenever they allow indoor seating again. Second, the service is great! It's an order at the counter, then walk your way down as you choose your toppings kind of setup. I personally find that to be very convenient! They're also not restrictive in how many toppings you can have, which makes the prices (usually about $13/14 for me) totally worth it! If you get avocado, they give you a whole half. If you want an extra scoop of masago or some more daikon, they won't skimp. I always leave with a big bowl full of food! Lastly, the food itself is always incredibly fresh and delicious. The fish is tender, the vegetables are crisp, and the sauces are homemade. It's so healthy, so pretty to look at, and all around my favorite! If you can't go, order online or through UberEats! This might be my new favorite lunch spot in Davie. Stopped by because I was craving a Poke and let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The portion size was more than worth it. We perused the menu board and the paper menu (not everything that is on the board is on the paper menu and vice versa). My sister decided on a passion fruit milk tea with boba and the spicy tuna poke bowl. I decided on the thai tea with boba, glass noodles and a bao bun. The young lady taking the order was pleasant enough. They handed us a number for the table and we sat down at the only remaining empty table. More than once, someone came and asked us if we were waiting on a spicy salmon bowl, to which we replied each time, no it was the spicy tuna. Mildly annoying considering we have a number on the table to correspond with our order. My sister was actually asked to come to the area where you tell them what they want when you make your own poke bowl only for them to realize she has ordered one from their menu. :/ Somehow her bowl came out before my glass noodles. About 5 minutes after her food came, mine did too. They thought they were done with our orders, but we had to remind them that we also had milk teas. Again, annoying that we have the number on the table so that you can compare the order slip with it. That's why I am knocking it down a star. I could see if they had only been open a few weeks but they've been around enough to have the kinks ironed out. The food itself was really good. I enjoyed my glass noodles, but am unsure if you can pay to have a protein put in them. My sister liked her spicy tuna bowl, but said it was a tad too spicy and for her to say that means it is really spicy. Her passion fruit tea was really delish. I took my niece to Sovereign to fulfill her wish of having bubble tea. I'm so glad I found this place! This is seriously my favorite place for bubble tea and such. The service is incredible. Everyone who works there was so nice and attentive. They recommended some of the best bubble tea flavors and they even gave us some samples. I couldn't abandoned my traditional "Taro" tea. Taro is the best flavor over and over! I had it for the first time in Spain, and since then I always try the taro tea at every bubble tea place I go to. The best bubble tea I have EVER had. The customer service is a 10/10 and they were super nice when I accidentally ordered the wrong one and had to change it (sorry!!). They have a variety of flavors (taro, avocado, AÇAÍ, mango, Thai tea, mojito, ect.) and can be made in a smoothie or milk tea with popping bubbles or the normal tapioca pearls. They have samples of all the beverages that you can taste test before purchasing them... i was really happy about that because I wouldn't have bought one if I couldn't taste it beforehand. I do wish the tuna and salmon were chopped a bit larger though - the cubes of protein were a bit too small for me to taste them individually. The inside of the restaurant is clean and hip but I wish there was more seating (and phone service inside). They offer a nice variety of sauces though, some including some novel ones like House Sauce, Hawaiian Sauce, etc. If I wanted poke bowls I would come here but I usually prefer meals that arent over $10.
