You have to be a member of Great Creek in order to have a reservation and dine at this venue. They have an outdoor and indoor space. The indoor space is nice and cozy. If you're a member, you are able to get two complimentary glasses of wine with your meal. We ordered pizzas to share for three people which is more than enough. They are handmade and each pizza is a Ratatouille of different flavors and delicious. They do have it clearly posted, but it's good to know before you arrive. We have been a couple of times for lunch. We have only sat outside because the view is gorgeous. You have 2 servers during the meal: 1 for wine and 1 for food. All of the staff is very nice and knowledgeable. The wait for the food can seem long at times. We split the Mediterranean salad and the Chicken Avocado BLT with Parmesan chips. The portions were a nice size for us to split. The salad was delicious and crisp. The BLT was good, but nothing special. The food does seem on the pricier size, but it is at a winery so I guess it's kinda expected. Loved visiting Stout's Pizzería. Yes, you do have to be a member but it's really worth it to have an option that makes Fredericksburg a one stop shop. The ambiance was nice and the servers were friendly. The pizzas are both so delicious and the cheese plate was a great size and value for our group. We came for a bachelorette party of 6 and didn't know we had to make a reservation for the restaurant but they were so nice and accommodating of our group. Definitely recommend Stout's! Perfect meal after some wine tastings. The restaurant is on the property of Grape Creek so their wine club members get a discount here. My husband and I became Heath wine club members a few months back and loved our meal at Stout's so we came back and brought friends. The pizzas are very good. I don't usually eat the crusts, but I do here. I also love their Caesar and the spinach artichoke dip. The meal was a hit with our friends as well. We didn't have any problem getting in for lunch on a Saturday, but I believe seating is reserved for members. It would be worth calling to check if you don't have a reservation. Another tip: You will have a food server and a separate wine server. There will be a separate bill for food and wine. On our first visit we started leaving after paying for the meal, not realizing the wine was not on that bill. read more

Call me weird but the food here is so delicious and so worth being a wine club member at Grape Creek. We've been to Stout's 3 times now at different time frames and they do not disappoint on service or quality of food. It's always a plus to be able to pair your wine with food but it's boujee to have the food not be typical bar food. You literally could not go wrong with anything on the menu. It really comes down to how hungry you are. The meatballs are TO DIE FOR they never stay on the table long enough to get a picture but I wish it could rain these meatballs because you can never get tired of them. I'm a sucker for chicken and waffles and their is the perfect balance of chicken to waffle to syrup. Not too crunchy. Definitely not soggy. Their pizzas are very tasty, I just wish the buttons could get a little crisper bc they sag a little bit and you have to rave from the plan to your mouth. So, after touring the Grape Creek Winery, what should you do? Darn right. Get a pizza from Stout's. The Rendezvous (specially created to pair with the wines of the same name) and Stout special are utterly amazing. Also, the kitchen will bifurcate your pie to half on and half another, just be prepared for the additional cost. By the time we did this and added gluten free curst for the wife, the pie was almost $40. This would be the only smudge on the visit. Paired with a glass of Rendezvous and Mosaic, we gnoshed on emphatically on the pie to fill our bellies for the day's oncoming wine onslaught...OK it wasn't that bad...but it sure as hell was fun and this was a great start to the day. The GM Ivan is a cool dude. We have seen him several times around town, playing music, and at the restaurant. He recognized us after a second and provided a personal touch to the visit. Our waitress Gina was amazing. She was attentive and supplied us with everything needed and was the one that recommended the bifurcated pizza. The somm, Shauni saw what we ordered and instantly made the wine recommendations. Basically, all the wife and I had to do was show up and let the staff take care of us in their more than capable hands. Again, the ground used to be dog friendly, but I believe that during the 'Rona, they have suspended allowing 4-legged friends on site. You should call ahead if you plan to bring your fur baby as of Dec 2020. Aside from the steep-ish price of the pie, this place is HIGHLY recommended whilst you are on site. Not eating at the winery's restaurant is like buying a Lamborghini and refusing to floor it at least once to see its full potential...it makes no sense. Awesome food? Check. Great wine? Check. I gave Stout's Signature another try and feel like I owe them a follow up review. We went for brunch and my husband ordered a pizza and I ordered a brunch special, the eggs Benedict with pulled pork. The pizza was well cooked, not too greasy with a light perfectly cooked crust. The pulled pork Benedict was so good. Perfectly toasted English muffin and poached eggs with tender slow cooked pulled pork and a green tomatillo sauce with just enough spice to give it all a perfect flavor! Service was great, wine was wonderful and they are making me want to come back and try the bread pudding French toast.... I'm praying it's on the menu when I return! read more

Today we made reservations to eat at the restaurant on site and have wine. The food was great. My oldest daughter and I split a pizza. Half rendezvous and half meat lovers. My wife had a Caesar salad with blackened chicken. My little one ate the stuffed French toast. The pizza was very flavorful. Half meat lovers had pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon was excellent. But we like to go at the end of our tastings throughout Fredericksburg or drive up just to spend time here, enjoying the view while eating wonderful pizza. Stout's pizza offers great pizza. It's made in a fire brick oven and the crust is perfectly crisp. There are no pasta dishes but there's great salads, pizza and sandwiches. They also offer wine from Grape Creek Vineyards on the menu. Despite the mixed reviews on Yelp and other sites, we decided to try Stout's during a recent trip to Fredericksburg. It's inside the Grape Creek Winery which is a very nice setting, so why not. When we arrived the patio was full and we were seated inside the restaurant, which was OK as it was a warm humid night and the AC felt good. The dining room is one of a "casual dining" (read upscale Denny's) and not at all elegant. They were taking the proper COVID protection steps and the tables were all 6-7 feet apart and the servers were masked; which we appreciated. When the server arrived she asked what we would like to drink, we asked for few minutes to decide which wine would be best while looking at the options on the menu. A few minutes later the server came back and we gave her our wine selection, and she quickly told us that she wasn't the "beverage" server, she was the "food" server. The wine comes from one "company" and the food from another "company" so you must deal with 2 serves, 2 checks, 2 gratuities, and etc. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! All the menu prices are WAY above the restaurant level and food quality; extremely overpriced! But we hoped for the best and placed our order. All entrees are ala carte. I had the Linguni & Meatballs, it was "OK" but tasted like the sauce was fresh out of a can, the meatballs were "OK" but the meat was compressed too hard and it didn't taste like it had any veal or pork in them. My wife got the Shrimp Florentine, it "tasted" good, but the consistency and and soupyness made it more like pasta soup with 5 shrimp in it. My daughter got the Blackened Tuna, which was dry but the risotto it was stacked on was probably the best part of all of our meals. My son-in-law had a hamburger, which he thoroughly enjoyed, except for the $25.88 price for a HAMBURGER and side of fries. Totally over priced!! On top of that they penalize you if your not a "wine club member: by adding 18 percent to the already inflated prices. Too many GREAT restaurants in Fredericksburg to subject yourself to this. Overall fine experience. We sat down quickly and the hostess was prompt. We had different servers for alcohol and food which I thought was different. Our wine server was nice but i didn't get the impression she really knew what she was talking about. I ordered a Cuvée Blanc which I was told was like a Sauv Blanc but I didnt find that at all. It's a bit ridiculous that even as a member of the winery you HAVE to have a reservation to get in. Their pizza is simply amazing...period. If you come try their Stouts special or the meat lovers. The ingredients are fresh (I understand most is locally sourced when available) and the crust is amazing, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside and holds up well when topped with ingredients. I'm not a fan of sausage on pizza's in that most places use something (at least to me) akin to breakfast sausage and not Italian at all. Theirs is true Italian and wonderful. Their meats (not pepperoni) are crumbled not chopped in chunks which also makes for a less overpowering flavor. We also usually order a Mediterranean salad with Prosciutto crumbled chips. The Prosciutto chips are an extra but WELL worth it. It's a beautiful setting and you will enjoy the Grape Creek or Heath wines. read more

They sat us inside pretty quickly and explained alcohol and food are taken care of by two different people and two different checks. No big deal. Service wasn't very quick. I got a side salad before my meal and then French toast. The Cesar salad was very good. The French toast- not a fan and overpriced. It had a lot of seasoning in it- it tasted like Christmas time. Had the salmon, it was over cooked, as was the Parmesan risotto. My friend had the sea bass and it was good, just not great, and not sure what they tried to do with the cilantro, but it wasn't good. It's always a good idea to start your 290 wine run with some deliciousness here. As usual, service was incredible (thank you Dawn!) and the wine was managed beautifully by Travis. The kitchen is always on point. Their new Mufaletta is authentic and delicious. I'm obsessed with their meatballs and also love the strong Sunday brunch menu.
