We went at opening on a Friday. Long line waiting to check in. It was at capacity by noon. They do not give you any type of slide/ slipper so bring your own. If you need a larger robe. Ask. They automatically give a smaller robe. If you're an Xl it's not going to fit. What we loved : Himalayan Salt Room Jade Sauna Steam sauna Hot tub Cold plunge What we didn't like : No one following the no phone rules Loud conversations in the quiet areas The food was very good. At last New England has a Korean spa and, glory of glories, it's 15 minutes from my house! I've been going to Korean spas for over a decade now, ever since a life-changing hamam experience in Istanbul sent me hunting for a similar experience in the States. I have both west coast and east coast Korean / Japanese spa experience. Spa Castle in Queens is my east coast all time great. Spa Light is much more like Olympus Spa in Lynnwood, Washington. It's bright. Simple. Functional. One hot tub (missing a label), one warm tub, one cold plunge. Small room. One scrub station. The shower area has small stools and handheld shower heads with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap for washing before you go into the pools. The locker room is simple- no frills. They have a hairdryer and plastic bags for your wet suits but no lotions or amenities (Kabuki in San Francisco is the best in this category). On the women's side, bathing suit bottoms seemed to be the norm with some women in one piece or two piece suits. (West coast Korean spas are full on nude, as is Spa Castle. This is one of the glories of the Korean spa / hamam experience- it's a sisterhood space.) As other reviews have noted, there is no drinking water available in the space- something Bodhi Spa offers- although small plastic bottles of Bally-branded water are available in the common area. The body scrub was great. Thorough. Cash tips are expected, so be prepared. The wet sauna could be a little hotter and steamier. The dry saunas (communal) are fine. Overall, I am thrilled to have a genuine Korean spa so close! read more

Front desk staff... poorly organized and terrible customer service, likely due to how young and inexperienced they seemed. They lost some of our reservations for about 45 minutes delaying our time there. Finally rectified but unfortunately the front desk staff spent their time rolling their eyes at us, and whispering about the situation. A member of our party inquired about applying the funds from additional day passes for individuals who couldn't attend, towards treatments and were laughed at and told to see the manager the next day at 9.... No suggestions given such as they can be used another day etc... just no and if you don't like it see the manager tomorrow.. Staff members who provided services were amazing.... Especially the massues Mathew!!! While there, our group was cordial and many other guests were chatting with us about the experience and sharing thoughts on treatments, food and plans for the evening. Seemed like a great experience and everything was going well, **Side note, Everyone was on a device (volume down) but nevertheless every room had people on devices which was totally fine with us. At no point was our group asked to lower voices or do something differently. However upon exiting the facility the front desk shared with the birthday girl that the party she was with were rude and that she needed to find new friends because they were gossiping about her. Unfortunately It was the guests birthday that this was said too, and these statements left a very poor taste in everyone's mouths. Definitely ruined the day. It was felt to be a very strange comment to a group of 7 woman celebrating a 40th bday who collectively spent close to $2000 and to verbally unload on the birthday girl (who had nothing to do with planning any of this and was in and out of services most of the day) about our groups behavior when at no point was the group addressed during their time there. This is too bad as it seems like a great spot with beautiful amenities and well trained staff in the treatment rooms. However if they cannot accommodate larger parties with reasonable expectations regarding socializing then not sure it's worth planning a trip too!! There was no alcohol involved and my groups behavior was typical of middle age woman enjoying each other company in between treatments...Laughing is fairly common when with friends lol we were not overly loud especially in quiet spaces... most chatter took place in restaurant. If that's not the clientele they want to attract then more thought needs to be put into accepting reservations for larger # groups for day passes as well as treatments!!! Perhaps limit groups to 4 or determine spaces for larger parties to be together and enjoy conversations between treatments would be advisable.... So many friends back home were excited to hear about this experience and unfortunately all 7 of us are bringing back a lousy review to our own family and friends who were considering booking a similar event for a loved one.... read more

First time here and so happy that there is a Korean spa in New England. You can choose to bring a bathing suit or go nude in swimming areas. Otherwise they provide robes and/or top and shorts. I was happy I brought flip flops to walk around with. I highly recommend making a reservation for services ahead of time. I had the hydration facial and it was amazing. The technician was very professional and I felt so relaxed that I couldn't get off the table very quickly. My friends said that my face was glowing when I came out. Then it was time for food in the Hana Cafe. I had bulgogi bi bimbap and a mango smoothie and they were delicious. The best part is the reclined lounge seats that are heated. I could sit in those forever. The warm bath wasn't working, but the cold and hot tubs were. My favorite sauna was the Himalayan salt bath room. The jade room was too hot for me and the cold room was fine in short bursts. PSA that when you go to open the lockers, there's a key on your wristband so you don't wave your wrist in front of the locker like I did. My husband and I were in search of a korean spa, and finally found Spa Light in RI! We were happy to make the 1 hr drive from Boston as it was totally worth it! We've been to korean spas in NY and CA - this one is certainly on the smaller side but we thought it's got everything we wanted and the facility was new/clean. Even though we visited on a Sunday, it was still not too crazy (not like Sojo). The only complaint would be the dining - we waited for 40 min for our food + drinks and while my tofu soup was great my husband's katsu was really really lacking. It seemed the food prices were cheaper than some of the photos of the menus we've seen online, and now it feels just touch expensive. The smoothies / lattes were great, and thanks to the promotion they are running, we received them for free. We will definitely be back! read more

Pros -Numerous saunas to choose from, including a cold sauna which I've never seen before -Clean -Friendly and competent staff who were upfront about pricing and services -Good locker system with a key bracelet that you also use as currency (don't have to worry about cash or cards til checkout) Cons -Multiple day beds were broken such that the heat didn't work. The facility is still new...how are they already broken? -Not enough day beds for the amount of clients -Women's sauna was also broken -There's a treatment area in the women's pool room but it's not labeled. So if you're the one getting treatment...sorry, but multiple people have peeked in to see your naked butt because no one knew what's in it. -The showers are out in the open for everyone to watch you -The relaxing ritual they recommend on a huge wall sign says to ask the desk for an exfoliating cloth. You ask...and it's an up charge. But they also didn't have the usual, cheaper option available, either. -Many clients used the whole spa to have conversations with friends. Loudly. The only true peace and silence I got was in the Himalayan salt room, which was amazing. Biggest complaint: the price. I've never heard of a spa that doesn't include access to the rest of it with purchase of massage. They want you to pay for the massage AND the day pass. I visited the K Spa light Korean-style spa on Monday , 8/19. I was very impressed with the polite staff, cleanliness, equipment, baths and saunas of this facility. Towels were replenished, showers were clean, and the temperature was great. I was greeted when I walked in, asked to remove my shoes, given a robe and slippers and then directed to the men's-only locker room. I found the changing area in good condition and accessible to the men's bathhouse. In the bathhouse , there were three pools/tubs- hot, warm and cold. A steam sauna in the back, which was hot and clean, all good for the pores. There were the traditional Korean sitting showers and four American standing showers as well. Heads up to any new visitors, the bathhouse is nude or swimsuit optional, so be aware if you are modest seeing others naked which is the traditional way to experience the segregated male/female bathhouses. I saw a mix of suited and nude patrons on the day I visited with no issue at all. I also ventured over to the Jade, cold and dry charcoal hot saunas which are coed and where patrons wore their robes and/or swimsuits. All were clean and invigorating. I did not eat in the Asian restaurant but I will try it on a future visit. Going to K Spalight was a great way to relax for an afternoon. I spent almost 4 hours there and the $70 admission for the baths and saunas seemed reasonable and well-worth the fee given the space and great condition of this very cool spa! The one thing I missed was the exfoliating Korean scrub but the attendant assured me that a male scrubber was being hired this September. I look forward to trying that experience out in the near future! Overall, I was thrilled with my first Korean-style spa visit and will go again very soon! Came to the spa with no expectations except the fact that we would be spending a good amount of money and time here on a Wednesday. Upon entering we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. She explained everything quickly but was available to take any questions as we moved along with the process and was super helpful throughout our first experience there. Entry fee was 60$. My friend told me this was a seasonal rate and that it is a little higher after a specific date. From what I understood, this entry fee included the bath house, use of the facilities such as bathroom, water bottles, very small changing area, & then the saunas and steam room. We obviously walked around and spent time at each. We loved the steamer inside of the bath house. We booked facials as well. She had a collagen facial for 180$ and I booked for a hydrating facial for 170$. We both came out in love. Well worth the money spent and agreed it was the best facial we had ever gotten. The lady who did my facial was amazing. Super comforting and such a nice soul! Would recommend a facial here for sure. Now, here are the reasons I knocked them down a star: They only have one small area to change. Literally one standing corner that you can close with a curtain for ONE person at a time. That is all. Half the time, it was taken so I changed inside of a bathroom stall (ew). If they had a separate changing area that would be great. Another thing is, the Suanas stopped working while we were there using them. So our time in the suanas was cut short. They just shut off while we were in them so we had to leave and find a worker to let them know. We went back after awhile and were told the technician was working on getting them back on and that we would have to wait and come back to see if they were running again. (We killed time at the bathhouse and eventually came back to them working again.) However, we were not discounted for the inconvenience or given any acknowledgment of it during check out. When it is a part of the fee or an amenity that's supposed to be readily available, it seemed like an important thing to make up for when it is out of service during your visit. -All in all, we each spent roughly 300$ & we would do it again. We agreed, this has to be on our to do-list every few months. We are teachers and God knows we need our me time Recommending them to everyone! read more

I came in at 9:30 for a 10:15am appointment I was told at 10:20 that no one was available to do my treatment, after they already took my friend back for hers. Then I was told I could come back at 2:30. The front desk staff told me it wasn't their problem. The manager said it wasn't her problem either. First time visiting a spa, let alone a Korean spa! I visited on a Saturday afternoon and was on the waitlist for about an hour. Peak time was 1 - 4 PM. I like how you can bring your slippers or walk barefoot around the spa. It was consistently cleaned, and I didn't have any worries. They give you a bracelet for your locker, which I recommend keeping on hand. You can wear a robe with a bathing suit or ask for a uniform inside the facility. I enjoyed all the amenities - the bathhouse, saunas, and the cafe. My favorite areas were the Himalayan salt, dry, and stone steam saunas. I felt super relaxed, detoxed, and disconnected from the outside world for a little bit. The hot bath and vitality pool were also great for relaxing the muscles. One thing that I didn't find impressive was the heated day beds. It was awkwardly placed in the facility because it is in a passageway between the dining area and the sauna rooms. My friend and I started going to the sauna rooms and the hot bath, then grabbed dinner and repeated the process. The food at Hana, the cafe, had many options, albeit a bit pricey. I ordered the tempura udon and shared some dumplings with my friend. We also ordered specialty drinks, which were super good and refreshing. The star of the meal, however, was the Bingsu. Although it was 20 degrees outside, we each ordered our own Bingsu, which was DELICIOUS. I loved the mango cheesecake Bingsu; it was very filling and worth the price. If you visit Spa Light, I recommend you stay for more than four hours and fully immerse yourself in the experience. Went to Spa Light for the 1st and honestly it wasn't that great :-/ i had seen videos and pictures online and kind of expected more. Maybe because it was Sunday morning but the staff wasn't very attentive. We weren't given much information when checking in; we were given plastic bags and told to take off our shoes. They don't provide slippers, nor do they advise you to bring your own. Kind of weird walking around barefoot. The locker room isn't very big, with one small curtain area to change if you want privacy. There aren't any private showers, so be aware if you plan to shower/change after your time there. There are showers in the pool room; 4 single showers, not closed off; plus 4 wall showers with stools which i assume is the area to do a body scrub. There weren't any attendants in the pool room and we couldn't figure out how to get the jets going, so we had to go out to find someone to come shows us. One sauna in the pool room, very spacious. Outside the lockers/bathroom/pool room, you walk around to pass the food area. I've heard the food is good, but noticed the items were very pricey ($27 for coconut shrimp!). Past that are heated beds in front of a big screen that play's calming videos. That was nice, my favorite part; could lay there all day. Past that are 4 saunas; the salt and jade ones i liked. Overall at a price of $75 (weekend rate, special this month) i expected a lot more. read more

Where do I begin? Me and my friend planned out a nice relaxing spa day and wanted to check out this location as it has been raved about. It was a spa day from hell. Below I have compiled fact based things that occurred during my time there 10/9/23. Just for preference I am no spa beginner, I go to a spa every 2/3 months. 1. Upon entry we were not given a run down on how the spa works or the day pass. We were given robes without being asked our sizes. I had to ask for my size, no slippers were offered or given. Later on I saw someone wearing some, they told me it was an additional cost which is fire however they were never offered to begin with. My friend and I sat there waiting for someone to usher us to where we should change/begin the experience. No one ever came and we had to figure it out ourselves. Again, when I went to ask and pay for my slippers I saw the front desk staff giving a run down on how the spa experience was going to go. Funny because I had to overhear that conversation to even figure out where anything was. 2. The changing area/locker room. The structure of it doesn't make sense. The changing stalls are mixed in with the toilets which was weird, felt more like an airport bathroom more than anything. There was one area big enough for one person that had a curtain to change. There were towels and water just thrown on the floor. Hence why I was so adamant about the slippers in the beginning. If you're a frequent spa goer then you know that's the standard. At this point we're not even 10 minutes into this debacle. As you can imagine we try to still make the best of the situation so we go to book our services back at the front. **The ONLY positive thing we experienced was our facials with Ariana 10/10. She was professional and nice. Hydration facial 10/10. 3. The water experience. There was NO SPA ETIQUETTE. Women were taking full nude showers. The showers aren't private nor should they be if you follow the rules. I tripled checked the website. This spa does not allow anyone under the age of 14 years old. 15-17 STILL MINORS are allowed to utilize this spa. With that being said you see how problematic women being naked in a public spa area is? Not to mention there are cameras in said public area. The website says to wear a swimsuit robes will be provided. No where on the website or on location does it mention nudity. My friend and I witnessed nudity in the pool area in front of a minor, in the showers, and there were full nude women inside the pool. My friend and I wanted no parts once we saw that. 4. More nudity inside the sauna area. In the Himalayan salt sauna. Full on nude women (this is co ed). 5. The noise level. There was no such thing in this spa as being library quiet. You could hear how loud folks were from the waiting area. There are SIGNS everywhere about being quiet but due to lack of enforcement of the rules/ policy it was a free for all. The cherry on top was people being on speaker phone having full fledged conversations in the sauna area and full on chanting. I have video proof as well of said chanting because I could not take it anymore. 6. My food that I purchased was stolen. My buzzer never went off after waiting over 30 minutes. I went up to the counter and they apologized but there is no accountability system in place. SAME THING happened to my friend. Most items on the menu were sold out. Food was 5/10 at best. You are better off going to the casino side for a better meal choice especially for the price. 7. The front desk young lady. She was very unprofessional; she was gossiping on the work floor about customers. This place between the staff and the patrons -10 out of 10. No professionalism, decorum, etiquette, and simply no home training for that matter. The best way to describe this establishment is unhygienic, loud, and overpriced. My friend paid $311 I paid $296 (I did NOT tip) They literally only had ONE wrap left during my treatment; I'm a double d cup. So again that went even further into the lack of cleanliness and hygiene. If you like Spirit airlines this is the spa for you. read more

My daughter and I just had a spa date at spa light . It was our first time there so I wanted to share our experience. We made reservations a few weeks ago for body scrubs and facials , note you do not need reservations if you are not doing any spa services such as scrubs, facials or massages. Reservations were easy to make over the phone and I had no issues . Checkin today was efficient and friendly. The girls in the front desk explained where everything was and where to go for our treatments when it was time . They gave us robes , towels and bags for our shoes and showed us to the locker room and pointed out where to find everything (bathhouse , dry sauna , heated beds for relaxing and where to order food ) note everyplace but the bathhouse is co-Ed so I recommend bringing a bathing suit and slippers if you don't want to be barefoot. The bathhouse with the mini pools and wet sauna are unisex so you may be naked or choose to wear a bathing suit . The body scrub is done in the unisex bath house behind a screen but you are completely naked , we enjoyed our experience in the bathhouse and coed dry saunas ( there was a salt , jade , dry and cold sauna rooms ). It wasn't too crowded on a Thursday am/early afternoon. The food was yummy and serving size were generous so no complaints, who doesn't like eating in a robe than dozing on a heated lounger after lunch . Horrible customer service... I had a massage booked. I called to inform them that I was running late, which they said was fine. If anything my massage might be shortened, which I was fine with.. I get there, I was told I could no longer have my massage but they OFFERED another service, which I said fine too.. As I was given my robe and slippers, proceeded to put my robe and slippers on, I was told I could no longer receive the service that was JUST offered 2 mins prior. Then.... It's a nice place with many amenities. However, the hot/cold tub area is very dangerous when slippery. Shoes are not allowed and there is nothing to prevent anyone from falling. SOMETHING needs to be done to make it safer and to prevent from a worst incident happening. I was there Saturday and ended falling getting out of the cold tub area which was very slippery resulting in an injured back and sprained wrist. An incident report was filed and it was minimized. No one has followed up and now I have to deal with being out of work and a couple of follow up appointments due to the fall. read more

I came with a girlfriend for the day. Love that Mon-Thurs is a discounted rate, it made it so I didn't think twice about going. Everything has been spectacularly clean though I did notice a lot of hair clumps around the bathhouse and in the showers, which was just odd because we came right at 10am and we're the first people of the day so I'm not sure if it was missed cleaning or what. Other than that every other room has been spotless. I recommend bringing your own spa slippers and face masks. I expected the towels to be nice and fluffy but that was just a random expectation I had, they're more like regular hotel pool towels. Food is clearly made fresh so maybe order it and then go hit a sauna. I think this is more a place to go alone or with a same sex friend, as for half the experience you will be separated. And just to mention, parking was a little annoying I'm not sure if they have valet or I was too early for it, but you might get a lot that requires a walk. Poorly greeted the person checking us in seemed confused that there were 8 of us. once we squared away appointments we were charged an additional 85.00 for a "day pass" essentially to use their juice bar/restaraunt and the saunas and pool area otherwise you would be sitting in their small waiting area for the rest of your party which is inconvieient because they are all at different times. By the way the juice bar had amazing smoothies and apps. and the women behind the counter were wonderful and very friendly and happy to serve you, unlike the front desk staff. The communication was very poor as far as where or how you will be located for your appointment. we were given watches with #'s on them but no explanation as to how to use them. upon arrival after check in we were given bathrobes not for larger folks and plastic bags for our shoes, there were no slippers, glad I wore socks. if this is your first time to a spa youmay think nothing of it i suppose but I've been to many spas and this one ranks at the bottom. poor service from the front desk they did not have any customer service experience they were confused and unhelpful. read more

Called in advance about booking a spa date for myself and friends. The women I spoke with assured me that I did not need reservations and that our 2.30 time slot would be fine. We had 8 ladies coming in from all over and when we showed up we were told there was a wait-list. They told us initially it would be 2 hours and then 1.5 then 1 hour. So we decided to wait. We waited around the casino for hours before leaving and just going to a restaurant. We finally got a call that 2 of us could come in at 6 pm. I decided to come here by myself for my birthday and I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed myself. It was very relaxing, the food was great, it was a vibe. But, there was one thing I didn't like which I haven't filed a complaint about but I just didn't feel comfortable at all. So I originally wanted a massage. When I got there, I was told the next massage appt was at a specific time which I agreed to take. I wasn't asked if I had a preference of a male or female so when it came time to my massage, I find out it's a male. Ok, fine. When we go in the room, I asked him if I needed to get completely naked because I know at other places, they tell you, you can keep your panties on if it makes you feel comfortable. He told me, I needed to be completely naked. I already didn't feel comfortable after him saying that. He didn't do anything to me, but I feel like I was violated a little because my private parts kept being exposed. And I know other spa's I've gone to, usually when they see that your private parts are about to slip out, they cover you up. Like they do at a Doctors office. This man never once covered up my body, I felt like he was enjoying looking at me, I felt so uncomfortable, that I couldn't really enjoy the massage. I didn't say anything and I haven't said anything, not sure if I should but I definitely didn't like that part of my experience. And the only reason why I'm here leaving this comment is because I keep having flash backs of that incident and for future reference to any females that get a message, TELL THEM your preference, because they won't ask. They'll just assume you're ok with anybody. read more

This place is an awesome destination for relaxation. My favorite is the steam room. They supply you with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion that smells so fresh. I did the body scrub and it was so amazing. This was my second time. The food is fantastic too! A tad pricey but really flavorful and big portions. They also offer bubble tea. This has to be the worst spa experience I've ever had. I have been to 10 different spa/sauna facilities and have never experienced anything like this one. First when you walk in you are asked to take off your shoes at the front desk. They do not provide a slipper or anything and expect you to walk through out the spa, sauna's, pool/jacuzzi, showers, locker rooms and restrooms completely barefoot. They only offer one size robe for all guests (men and woman). Along with a small towel. To start the room where you find the jacuzzi, warm and cold pool is extremely loud. Sounds like an indoor pool area in a hotel/ymca. There are no private showers so you are showing in the same room where people are in the pools. The jacuzzi was not very hot. The steam room had barely any steam. But the absolute WORST thing was that if you are getting a scrub service you are in the same room as all these pools covered by a barely covering partition. Everyone in the pool area can see you nude getting a scrub behind this partition. The woman being scrubbed had 2 small wash clothes barely covering her private parts. Also the woman who was performing the scrub service was wearing NOTHING BUT A BRA AND UNDERWEAR HERSELF!!! How can this be professional or even legal to have a spa service performed on you by a staff member who is almost naked. We were in shock when we this. Also very strange that you have to walk through a restaurant to get to the "quiet area" which is not quiet at all since it's 6 inches away from a restaurant with a half in between. The sauna are lacking to say the least. Needless to say this was by far the most bizarre spa experience I ever had. My friend and I went for the day pass special for $40 and were so appalled we stayed for less than an hour. I wouldn't go back to this spa even for free. Please spend your money elsewhere. There are tons of amazing spas in RI that are a million times better than Spa Light. read more

This is a new korean spa next to Twin River/Bally casino. They share the same parking lot with free parking. It is clean and not too crowded. Everyone seemed attentive and welcoming. Feeling refreshed now. The robes they gave us to wear are really nice. The saunas are co ed, the baths and locker rooms are separated by gender. You can wear swimsuits in the bathing/hot tub area. Paid 75$ promo in April with $5 off for writing a review, $70 total. Probably would not pay more than that to justify the size of this facility. Not sure how they priced it on the higher side as there are no other korean spa competition in this area. Also, not sure how they would be able to handle more crowds for such a compact space. Since it is still a new spot, it was relaxing/quiet and not overly crowded. The saunas are dry sauna, jade sauna, himalayan salt sauna, and a cold sauna. There was no description of what the benefits of each sauna like what jade or himalayan is good for. It seemed like the only actual hot one was the dry sauna. The hot tub bath area was cold, warm, and hot. The cold plunge is not as cold as i thought, neither was the hot, doesnt seem as hot. There was no temperature terameters for the baths to really indicate. read more
