Bella and Danielle have it down. I have never had a mani/pedi that lasted so long, was done so quickly and with the nicest people around. It's cheap but it never makes YOU feel cheap. The range of colors is pretty good, with some bright fun ones mixed in. You never feel like another job, they are sweet, pay attention, don't jabber on to each other while ignoring you, and they are very time-sensitive (which is great for me because I am always sneaking over at lunch!). This place sucks at doing acrylics. It's the same place at nail spa, they just changed the name but still do a crapy job. Terrible at shaping and blending the nails. My nails looked like press ons. I had to spend over an hour filing them after I left so that they wouldn't look so gross. It's been a little over a week and over half of my nails are either lifting or have completely broken off. This past weekend was my boyfriend's birthday, and with him being a massage therapist, I wanted to be able to treat him to something a little special in addition to all his other birthday goodies. I found Spa Lounge via Yelp and was very pleased. The front desk girl, Michelle, was very helpful and friendly being that I had changed our reservations around a few times. The first time I called they were booked out for couples for the whole day (3 weeks in advance she says! So book early) I had made reservations at another spa that I was very happy about, but was a little more pricier. Luckily, Michelle called me back to alert me that a spot had opened up. HAzzah! What a great deal! Mini facials, feet reflexology, and swedish massages for $260. I was going to pay twice as much for that at another spa, so I was very excited to cut my costs in half. The decor is very cool and retro with a modern chique twist. Nice touches with the little elixir drinks and the lounge areas for me and my sweetie to hang out. He had never had a facial before, but found it to be very appeasing and even wants to go back to get the real thing! Very different from the standard spa, which is a nice touch. However, this is not a Burke William or Glen Ivy type of spa by any means. This is a cute little boutique place. There is no jacuzzi spa, or steam room, so make sure you take a shower and relax a little before you show up for you appt! However, there are showers, though the women's showers have curtains, not doors...but the boys have them, for which i dont understand. And the changing area area for the girls by the lockers is very close to the exit door and needs to be separated better than what appears to be a shower curtain. Our room was a bit brighter than I had hoped and every now and again some women's voice would be talking over the music loops, which was a bit awkward and took you out of the moment sometimes. But mostly it was freezing when we first arrived, getting changed into (and out of) our robes (which provide no warmth at all) I know it wasn't just me because the girl who did my facial, when her hands touched my face I jumped...They were freezing...But everyone was super nice and helpful, and didnt press any extra costs or try to get me to buy anything that I wasnt ready to purchase or make me feel guilty over (even though I bought the toner anyways, cause I had never seen it before). The boyfriend was very pleased and the cost was great for what we had experienced, so I'm looking forward to coming back with friends. :) read more

At first I was a little concerned about the wait and almost left but, was pleasantly surprised when the girls rallied to get me taken care of. I like to indulge in EXPENSIVE SPA manis and pedis, but sometimes I have to get real and settle for this super cheap spot on La Cienega. They do a pretty good job, the decor is pleasant enough, and they use OPI and ESSIE nail colors. The ladies have always been civil with me, which is all I expect anyways. I don't act like a spoiled princess and I don't look down on the staff, which makes everyone happy, my nails look fly, and I enjoy my ME time. Parking on the street kinda sucks, so it's better to go during the evening or weekend. I only live a few blocks down so I just walk there and then walk over to Cafe Carrera and spend the money I just saved on a tasty, swank Italian lunch that usually costs more than my mani and pedi. read more

Walked in for a Mani/Pedi. The service was nice and friendly. My manicure was fantastic, I was very happy. The pedicure however, was mediocre with the fact that she clipped my toe nails all the way down to where you can see my skin, which I didn't notice until it was already done. Also, she said she was going to give me a 10 minute foot massage, without telling me I'd be charged an extra $10 for it. I thought she was only telling me that because I was in a hurry. Many nail spas do give a foot massage with your pedicure, so I didn't think anything of it. Be careful of that. read more

When I first walked in they weren't too friendly but once I sat down and talked to Jane, she was very sweet. She repeatedly asked me if I like the way she was doing my pedicure and made nice conversation with me. There is no extra charge to sit in the spa chair which is always nice! I saw everyones reviews before going in so i think my expectations where a little high. I went in on sunday and I had no wait and they were all very nice. But... The space did not seem all that clean. I got a gel manicure, the color selection was very limited. And maybe i pay a little to much attention to detail but the paint job was not even, one side of my nail is thin the other side bumped up leaving a finish that was not smooth. This was consistant throughout all of my nails. As well as having little air bubbles because the nail polish was old. Overall I wasnt super happy but i probably will go back since its walking distance to my house but i wouldnt recommend a gel manicure, just a regular mani. read more

When we first moved to LA I went to SO many different nail salons at various price-points I think the most I paid was at the Montage Beverly Hills Spa and the least expensive was at this little "not cute, quite dirty and icky" place on 3rd in West Hollywood (I feel bad stating the name because they were so sweet to me; just not good work nor good quality products) yet the "bad" place was even more expensive than what Spa Lounge charges and their work is absolutely flawless! You must go see Jane (Trang) the owner- she is so sweet (& beautiful) and she really takes care of her regulars generously! She has always shown appreciation for my patronage and they always treat me like royalty- as are ALL of their clients treated like royalty! Even my little Maltipoo doggies- Louis and Bella are treated like royalty there- they always offer water and lots of hugs to my fur babies!;) I've also had to bring in my baby nephew w/ me while I was babysitting him and OMG- the ladies that didn't have a client at their station actually babysat him for me- and he was only a 6 month old baby at the time- and he loved all of them too he was smiling and laughing w/ them! I've never been to a nail spa that would do that! That's what I mean by excellent customer service! That says A LOT!;) You must request Jane or Kim! I found this wonderful nail salon because of my favorite mani-pedi guy, Don, who used to work elsewhere and is now part of their friendly staff. You see, Don, is great and does a stellar job with my nails so I sought him out in his new work place. Glad he gave me his cell number. Because he knew I was coming, he came out to meet me while my hubby was parking the car. The first thing I observed when I walked into the Spa Lounge was the CLEANLINESS and the warm welcoming smile of the staff. It smelled clean, too. There was no chemical smell. The spa chairs and floor were clean. When I expressed interest in watching the basketball game (for my hubby), they were eager to change the channel so we can watch. My mani-pedi took over an hour and it felt and looked great! And it only cost me $25...plus tip.. I highly recommend Don and this Spa Lounge. He does a great job and I'm happy he moved to work at the Spa Lounge. I'm sure the others at the Spa Lounge do a great job but for now I can only speak about my mani-pedi experience with Don. What I can say about the ladies is that they are very accommodating and very sweet. We also met the owner who arrived towards the end of the evening to close shop and we had fun talking about basketball. Overall, I'm really happy with my mani-pedi experience and with the great service at the Spa Lounge. read more

My first time here, saw the sign that said Mani & Pedi $23 - So I was short on time, and needed them done good & fast. the workers were nice, the lady did a good job on my Medi & Pedi. one less star because - However when it was time to pay , they said they had a new machine so she had to swipe my card 3 time because it wasnt going through.. I see 2 pending on my account - hopefully the one will fall off. Being that their is a language barrier as well, when they finally came with the receipt to sign it said $33 .. why is it $33 - the mani and pedi is $23 .. she said oh i thought you wanted me to add the tip.. what ? no I never said that, or the amount of the tip, I will add the tip when I get the receipt to sign it. I didnt make a huge ordeal But I was really upset that she gave herself a $10 tip. I will be back with cash only. and I wont be tipping the next two visits since i already paid my tip! read more

First time I have ever been here. Worst nail place ever. I went to get a pink and white fill. I have a few nails that are cracked pretty bad. I tried this place because it was right across the street from my work and thought yay easy and convenient. WRONG! My nails are all uneven and what I am still just beyond amazed about is that for my thumb that was badly cracked she literally super glued it and clear coated over it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My normal nail place by my house in the valley would never ever do that. That nail should have been filed down completely and redone. You can see the crack from a mile away. I didn't have time to make her fix it which to be honest even if I did have the time I was amazed she did that and did not want anything else done to my nails. I had her do a clear coat instead of my normal gel because I will be going in the next few days to have them redone with my normal nail girl. I had a pedicure done, loved the color, but waited for my nails to dry.. She came over to check and said I was ready to go. (Now I did noticed she never put a clear top coat on top of the color) I asked if she was going to, she merely replied it's a self setting polish none needed. I called ahead for an appointment here when I was in town for a couple of days. One of the services I asked for was a shellac manicure, which was done by the woman who is also the manager/cashier/receptionist. What a mistake. She stopped doing my nails constantly. She stopped to answer the phone, then called someone and talked with them for almost 10 minutes, and kept getting up to work on other people in the salon. Anytime anyone had any questions or cash/credit transactions, she stopped doing my nails to help them. She watched what other technicians were doing, and would get up and go over to them when she had something to say about it. It took over an hour just for a simple, no-frills manicure. She didn't even out the lengths of my nails ( some had broken and were therefore shorter than others), and she didn't make the shape uniform. The files and buffers she used were not sterile; she took them out of a dust-covered box and they'd clearly been used before. Her manner was rough; she would yank my hand this way or that way, and she over-buffed the tops of my nails which are now sore. The price was dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for.
