Well I went to today, and my god the horrible service I got. My sister and I went to get a mani and pedi and they got mad because we asked for no nail but powder. That's not the worst part, my sister is pregnant and they were benign super nice to her until they asked if she was having a boy and she said no it's a girl, they began to be super rude to her. And asked her of she's disappointed? What kind of question is that! The only nice lady was the one who did my pedicure, she did cut me but she did an awesome job. I have moved since I stared coming here and tried to find a similar place near my home. Of course, no one compares. This place is owned by Julie & Sam. They are the nicest most sweetest couple ever. Sam's famous line "pick a sexy color" always puts a smile on everyone. Their staff are always so welcoming. Their service deserves their 5 stars! Nail salons are very personalized. Different people are looking for their own set of requirements. I like clear on my fingernails and a splash of color on my toenails. This shop pretty much is "the" place to go for gel polish, which I do not use! I am looking for a clean shop with well trained professionals. I do not care about ambiance nor soft and soothing music; I am pretty much a "news, weather and sports" type customer. I bring my own polish, OPI, as I prefer it. No problem if I drop by without it as there are several colors from which to choose. The prices are competitive and by bringing my own polish it is like a mani/pedi that would cost three or four times the price elsewhere. There are three spa chairs, which are regularly used. Again, those are not for me; straight manicure/pedicure only. Tiffany does my daughter's nails every two weeks; a standing appointment. I usually call the day I have my nails done. Tiffany is a choice, along with Teresa, Kim and others. I see so many different names as a "favorite" and that is because everyone is well trained. At this salon you cannot go wrong. Everyone is talented. When it is a busy day I ask for "anyone." For ingrown toenails and beautiful, no nonsense mani/pedi, the names noted above are tried and true. A good mani/pedi lifts your spirit at some point in the process. I am aware and concerned about the spread of bacteria in shops. The instruments are clean and there are liners in the pedicure bowls. Extras include parafin wax, special sea scrubs and pictures painted on nails. Many other options I have not noted, like eyebrows, facials, etc. There is a separate room for such services. Spa Nails is tucked into a strip mall that if you blink you will miss it! Norms is the neighbor to the South and a flower shop and Luzzi Automotive to the North and across the street from Pina's Pizza. FORGET parking in lot! Trust me on this. There is, however, plenty of parking on Paramount Blvd. or Second Street. (Thursday is street sweeping day on Second Street). Today I had an appointment with Tiffany and realized I would be four minutes late so I called. I do not want a nail expert to pass up sure clients while awaiting me. Even when the shop is full, with clients waiting, I never feel rushed. This is a shop where I have seen several friends over the past several months. My former shop slid down the slippery slope and I started to shop around and have now firmly landed at Spa Nails. This is an update with a lower rating than previously given. As indicated above I am respectful of the time of an appointment. Today's appointment at 12:30 was a bust, unfortunately. My manicurist had taken a client a few minutes before my arrival. Seeing me evoked a reaction of a shrug, with an apology later. I like the shop, but will think twice before coming in with an appointment when I have multiple things to accomplish. read more

Huge let down. this shop use to be really nice and friendly. NOT NO MORE!!! They look at you like their so annoyed you walked in to there shop you literally have to say hello and tell them what you want or they will ignore you. Too busy talking to each other to do a good job anymore. Barely enough water for my manicure & pedicure the water was cold. Ive gone a couple times when they say oh where too busy and turn me away at 530 PM !!! I got a manicure and it was the most painful one ive ever gotten the lady had cold barley any water in the bowl and didn't let my cuticle soften up at all just ripped and wasn't even watching what she was doing and cut me and i had to tell her she did because she was too busy chatting up the other employees. Do your self a favor find a new place to do your nails the atmosphere and employees make this shop unpleasant to go to.
