Popped in for a mani on Saturday, 5 minute wait. This is a super clean, and I mean super clean, salon. It appears everything is sanitized after each customer and, like Mario Tripoli, new Emory boards etc for each client. Seeing as how Spa O regular mani is $15, I consider this a good value. A hand and shoulder massage is included. So far my nails look great. The tech did miss a little nail polish removal on the side of my thumb but I didn't see it either. They have a great selection of colors, people very nice.. NO cell phone talking allowed, thank goodness we aren't subjected to others business or personal conversations...They do have a tv with close captioning so no noise.. I can see why some people think it's too quiet in here but they're probably young and don't know the value of quiet relaxation! Bring your headphones if you're uncomfortable but don't knock Spa O! Honestly, I did try this salon when they first opened as I live around the corner, and the tech wasn't great. Decided to come back after grocery shopping and very glad I did. I will be coming back weekly for mani's and made an appt. for pedi. read more

Best manicure in the area. My tech is total perfection. I won't give you her name because it wouldn't be fair to me. My manicure lasts about two weeks. I go every three weeks for a pedicure -whether I need it or not. They also do some waxing, facials, and massages. It is a relatively new salon. It is very peaceful and calm. Everyone on the staff is truly wonderful. Around the holidays they do some extra special services such as hot stone massage for your feet during a pedicure and Paraffin treatment for your hands. Prices are reasonable especially for the area. They have many other locations throughout the suburbs and I believe in the city. I have also been to the one in highland park. A beautiful, quiet and clean space, easy to find with plenty of parking. Technicians take great care to scrub, paint and massage in a timely manner (i hate sitting there for more than an hour!). This place by far is the best around for mani & pedis! They always have the newest colors and a wide variety. The technicians take their time and my no chip can last for about 3 weeks. I've been a customer since day 1 and love them everytime! I love the relaxing music, the chick flicks, massages, and cleanliness. They are uber professional and recognize me and call me by name every appointment. I see Young, who is amazing, for both mani/pedi. (The customers are the only part I would change about this place as they are sometimes super loud with their personal conversations to each other and do not respect the spa atmosphere for the other customers. I shocked by some of other the other reviews on here, most likely by the obnoxious loud customers from the above reference.) I also appreciate the new nail colors from top brands that they always have available. My regular manicures last at least a week and 1/2, which is a few days longer than the less expensive alternatives. They set the bar for nail salons! read more

Horrible experience. I walked in for a wax service. Marta provided the service. I left with layers of my skin missing from my chin; it is red & raw. I called to speak to the manager today & rec'd no call back. I do not want this to ever happen to anyone. While this place is clean and organized (one star), they nickel and dime you. I was greeted by the girl at the desk asking me if I would like to pay first. Uhhh. Shouldn't the service be performed first? I brought my own polish and they charge you $5 extra for them to use my polish. WTF?!?! How do you even justify this charge? I was so offended by this that I left without even getting my nails done. No good. I will not return. read more

I usually LOVE this place. I enjoy how they don't use lights to make the drying process faster, but instead use fans. Although this place is pricey, their manicures are SOMETIMES worth it. That's exactly the problem. This place is inconsistently reliable for quality. Sometimes I love the manicure or pedicure, and other times I leave disappointed. One of the biggest problems is that they thin out the nail polish. My essie color took four coats to reduce the streaks. Not only did the lady see that and continued to put a top coat on after just two coats of color (resulting in me needing to ask her for other coats) but she got mad when I asked for more. This is a new salon spa in Long Grove Sunset Foods corner. I decided to try it out for a manicure and am I glad I did. The staff is welcoming and professional and the atmosphere classy - relaxing and immaculately clean. Not at all like most nail places that can be chaotic, stinky and chatty. I had Joann who does great manicure, and every manicure includes a nice hand, arm and shoulder massage. I went back today for a facial which was a relaxing experience with steam, mask, and shoulder and neck massage. The prices here are reasonable and competitive. I got a pedi and No Chip mani in mid-December. They did a flawless job (I am picky). I am so pleased with the results. I am going back again today. Well worth the price. I also liked the mini massage. Ambiance is very clean and relaxing. Staff is attentive and welcoming and not 'chatty'. I felt welcomed and relaxed (unlike other places that act like they are doing you a favor by doing your nails.) The owner is very interested in giving back to the community too. I have been going to Spa O for a few years now, and I am a very picky client, meaning I'm particular :) I have had pedicure, vinylux, no chip and regular manicures there, just love this place! I live in a town that has several salons walking distance from where I live but I still would rather get in the car and drive 20 minutes to Spa O. I only request Lindsay or Young they are the best!!!! It's very clean there and they track how frequent you visit, I think for every $100.00 you spend you get a free manicure. The one thing I can request to the owner or manager there is please change some of your polish, some are getting old! I really enjoy going to this place. The prices are fair for the area and they do not try to upsell you with extra creams and things like Mario Tricoci does. I hate being asked if I would like this special cream for only $15 more. Last time I went to Mario Tricoci my manicure only lasted a few days, actually the whole nail pealed off in one piece. But this place is awesome my manicures last for 2-3 weeks. They take their time and do a really nice job. They also give you a nice mini massage when you get a manicure. The place is relaxing everything is clean and they are very friendly. I will always go back. They have won me over. I want to try their massages and see how those are. read more

While the decor and ambience of this salon is super cute, clean and trendy, the service is not impressive. I've hosted parties here (the staff were very accommodating and friendly) and have visited several times on my own and I wish I liked it more. The technicians just aren't very detailed. They rush through the service and in my opinion, the prices are too high considering what you get. There are far better salons in the area (while may not look as nice) that do a better job on your nails. read more
