I've talked about the food and the service for many reviews. Anna and Henry are the owners and if they aren't the nicest people you have ever met you better show up with pictures of your nominees with halos around their heads or their titles need to be St. someone. My mom ran into some health problems and thankfully is fine now. Got her out of the nursing facility yesterday; today she wanted to go somewhere nice where they take care of you, and picked Spaggi's. A great meal, great service. But at the end Anna brought out a bag with some goodies/ a care package for us. The package had soup and two comfort food meals. Hope there are not too many typos, but it is difficult to type with tears in your eyes. Above and beyond. Great food and ambiance. The food taste fresh and cooked to perfection. However, I can say they can work a bit more on customer service. Our waiter didn't check on us as often as we would have liked and we kept having to ask other waiters for refills and the check. Overall, I still recommend for a date night. read more

Spaggi's is one classy place! So dress yourself up and saunter in to this elegant restaurant with its cool vibe and top notch service for your next celebration or just to treat yourself because life is short! Since it was my parents 54th Anniversary this time, we splurged for the Jordan Cab. So good! The Crab Cake appetizer was delicate and the tartar sauce perfectly balanced. The Wagu Beef Raviolis were delicious as well with a sauce so good we wiped the dish clean with our bread. Speaking of the bread, the Tampenade they serve with the bread is above and beyond most in flavor and ingredients with some novel veggies blended with the olives and a tad of buttermilk. Definitely a favorite. You can always depend on their succulent Short Rib. I love how the sweet sauce compliments the perfectly salted mashed potatoes. They have a Tortellini Contadina special right now that is fantastic with its rich sauce and spicy sausage. Amazing! (See photos) Dad always loves the Sand Dabs. The Caramel Gelato with and Espresso was the perfect cap to the evening for me. I'd probably opt for a version with smaller chocolate chips, rather than the large chocolate/caramel chips in this one. Mom got the Cheesecake, but we felt it was the only thing that was only okay. She makes a divinely delicate cheesecake to die for, so we do not usually order cheesecake out. I liked the whipped cream though! Creme brûlée was on the thick side. So desserts could maybe use a little work, maybe a lighter touch, compared to the perfection of the apps and entrees. All in all, I feel Spaggi's is one of the top restaurants in all of Claremont and the surrounding areas. Always a great dining experience! read more

Never disappoints ! If you want a great pasta, a special dinner, or something like Sea bass in a sauce the Angels kissed. Wow. They have salads that make everything better. The staff are so good, always paying attention, well groomed, and knowledgeable about every detail. If you want something special, you can call ahead and ask to have a dish made in a specific recipe. We went to Spaggi's last night for dinner. We like to go midweek because it's usually not busy. Last night the restaurant was packed with big parties. The owner and all the employees were working so hard. The food was just as good as always and the food came out on time. It was my husband's birthday and we got a dessert on the house. I had their salmon which is so good! My husband had lobster ravioli. We had crab cakes for the appetizer.I love this place. Maybe The Magic Lamp employees should train here? read more

I had no idea this place existed living in a nearby city. I have always had to drive out to Orange Country or Los Angeles to find a restaurant like this. Now I can be able to drive only 15 min! If you are looking for a fine dining experience, don't hesitate to try this place out! We had a late Mother's Day dinner here and we had a wonderful experience. Their menu is online, and they have such a wide variety of food, you can pretty much have something new each time you visit, When seated our waitress was able to tell us the specials that they had, I think the only problem was just choosing what to eat. Food We ordered the following: Beef Short Rib - This dish was delicious, with the sauce complementing both the meat and the mashed potato's. I love how the vegetables still had texture to it, well seasoned and not mushy. Chilean Sea Bass - This was a very different type of Sea bass then I am used to. Usually I have this with Miso, but this approach with the fish on top of the vinaigrette garnish on the bottom excellent! Fruit i Di Mare- My daughter loved this dish, tomato pasta, packed with seafood ! They also have included this Asiago and Olive bread that was so good! It comes with a dipping sauce. Will have to ask what that is next time. I have to really mention again what great service they had. We were asked if our daughter needed a booster chair, we never ran out of water, just enough service, not overwhelming at all. The inside decor was classy, and the bathroom was so clean. I walked in on a lark with my daughter and almost walked out because my kiddo was in he pajamas and the place was really nice but the server and staff didn't even bat an eye and sat us. The staff was excellent , super friendly and accommodating even ask me if I wanted the kiddos food brought out early since they could tell she was tired. I ordered the crab cakes and potato appetizers, kiddo had the pasta bolognese and I had one of The house specials. Every single item was delicious, well seasoned, presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. We even ordered two desserts to go and they packed everything up and again it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend! Omg! I can't say anything bad about this restaurant. From the ambiance to the food to the service. Everything was amazing! We went there for my brother's birthday and they seated us in a cute private room. Our servers, which I apologize that I forgot their names, were extremely attentive, and there were 12 of us. The food was delicious. The bread and the tapenade were great. The Wagyu beef ravioli for appetizers, caprese salad and their special tortellini for dinner for the win. That's just to name a few. 3.5 stars. Service was excellent. However, I wouldn't say that the food was exceptional. I did enjoy the Insalata Della Ana, which included crumbled Feta, pecans, and a vinaigrette. Also, the chardonnay we got was also very enjoyable. The food was average. I got a special that included shrimp and steak. The steak was extremely chewy and not cooked to a medium rare (slightly overdone). They served 2 shrimp only as well and a little tiny side of spaghetti. The portions were just not that great honestly and taste was OK. The sashimi yellowtail we got was pretty good. As for desserts, I was underwhelmed and unimpressed. Everything just tasted sweet and sugary. I got the molton souffle, which was not fluffy or lava-ey. I'm sad to say that I would not return based on the food. My wife and I recently dined at Spaggi's again and it was excellent! We sat on the patio which was kept comfortably warm with heaters, and we shared the calamari as a starter. It was light and crispy, not greasy at all and was served with an amazing piping-hot marinara dipping sauce. My wife loved her lobster ravioli, and I was very happy with the surf and turf (steak and lobster). The service was friendly and attentive, our server Scott was very knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations for both food and wine were great! The tablecloth and nice wine glasses hide a mediocre cuisine with high prices. The kitschy decor should have been a giveaway but our focus was on the food. Our party of five ordered some pasta (middling) ciopino and I ordered a South African bass which tasted terrible. Salty and tough meat not worth the $36.00 they were charging. I mentioned to the old waiter that it was my wife's birthday. It was totally ignored. I will not return to this establishment simply because the food was poorly prepared. The only good thing was the bread and fried calamari. Go to Brios instead. You will get more honest Italian food. read more

Hands down the best restaurant in the inland empire. Service is exceptional, food is phenomenal and consistent. The owners are attentive to all customers. Great place to spend dinner with the family. Big parking lot. My parents took my husband and I for our anniversary and it was perfect for that occasion! The ambiance was quiet and classy. The food is wonderful. I Love their Cioppino! They gave me so much as well. All of our plates were spot on. The quality is there which is why I love small Italian restaurants. The pasta tasted fresh and homemade. They have a great Malbec as well. Price point is appropriate for the quality of the items The service was warm and friendly. They take the time to greet you and tell you about the items on the menu. I loved my entire dining experience at Spaggi's. The staff are well trained and so professional. Our waiter paid attention to the smallest of details all night and was very knowledge able about the food and wine list. The menu was impressive and everything my husband and I ordered was amazing. Additionally, Chef Henery and his wife Ana come out to chat with guests and make connections with the guests at every table. So this is a total hidden gem. First time coming for dinner tonight and I will definitely be coming back. So opt to sit inside, I sat outside but one not much of a view just of the Del Taco. Also it was a little loud with bikers at the bar a few shops down. Drinks: Red Sangria good, Pinot Grigio Wine yummy. Food: appetizer was the heirloom beet n tomato salad so refreshing and tasty. Entrees: penne pasta nice cream sauce and I love artichoke hearts n sundries tomatoes n asparagus in my pasta. Dry Aged 30oz ribeye medium best steak my husband and I have had nice char on outside no sauce needed. Dessert: pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream warm and perfect way to end the meal. And if you happen to catch them on a night they have the Corn Chowder, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy one of the best chowders I have ever tasted!! We enjoyed this little place in a strip mall. We went for the pasta and were pleasantly surprised with their excellent service. And the outdoor seating was comfortable. They had a patio heater which I appreciated. The pasta was good but the meatballs were not flavorful. The chicken dishes were good and I feel I need to go back one more time to really try out some other dishes before fairly rating. So went there last night for the first time incredible atmosphere and the food was so delicious. Originally went there for the beef Wellington, however after talking with chef Henry , he explained if we wanted beef Wellington to call a couple of days ahead and let him know, and he would have it prepared for us. I love to support mom and Pop restaurants and speaking to one of the owners. I believe she said that they have been in business in that location for over 20 years. There's a reason for that great service and delicious food. I love that the chef came out to check on every diner, introduce himself and listening to some of the conversations. He had many returning customers that he knew and considered friends .I will definitely be back to get my beef Wellington and post another review. The food was ok. It seemed that we didn't get the exact meal that we had ordered. First when we got there it was a bit unorganized and hard to determine where to actually check in. When we did check in we stood for about another 10 minutes before we sat at a table. Then we were just left. We kept asking for assistance if we could just put in even a drink order. For about 15 minutes we sat there. Finally they came got our ordered and apologized for the wait and let us know what happened. The atmosphere was ok as we were sitting outside the front door almost in the parking lot. But we did choose outdoor seating. Not quite what we were expecting for the pricing of the food, but what we were expecting for times. The food: the complimentary bread was very good. The recommended special of the day was good but seemed to be missing something. It was a special with speadable soft mozzarella on a bed of arugula with strawberries, but seemed to be missing bread. We got a complimentary wedge salad before our main dishes came. Probably for the hassle of waiting we endured and then also with whatwas to come with our main dish. Then our main dishes came. They were okay. They didn't seem quite what what we ordered. The one plate came was supposed to be a jumbo shrimp but instead four little shrimp came, the sauce was correct though. On the other plate everything was great but the potatoes were cold and the greens beans that were part of the vegetable medly weren't cooked. read more
