This place was great! Starting off with the salad. It was pretty good, it came very quickly, in about 5 minutes. It was seasoned alright, but it was a little too peppery. The croutons were crispy, and the lettuce tasted high quality. The kids pasta tasted of basil a lot. I wouldn't really recommend it for most kids (they are pretty picky lol) But it was good! The sauce was thin and flavorful. The pasta was cooked well for a child's taste. Our two main pastas we got were the White Lighting and the Tumblin Tumbleweed. The White Lightning was creamy and rich. It was basically a fancy Alfredo pasta with stuff in it, but you can't go wrong with that! It was really tasty overall. The Tumblin Tumbleweed was amazing, though. The pasta was cooked very very well in my opinion! (Al Dente.) It had a distinct truffle taste to it, which I loved. It had a ton of stuff in it, like mushrooms. It was delicious. By the way, if you order an order of bread and get this pasta, you can dip the bread into the sauce of this pasta when you're finished. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very kind. She handled our feedback on the basil spaghetti well! The atmosphere was very nice. It's a small building, but the decor is very nice. There is about 12 tables in the room, not including the bar seating. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday evening, a reservation would be recommended. We visited Greenville, and after sightseeing we found that this place had good reviews so we tried it. The theme and decor is different and so cute, plus they played Western movies from back in the day. Our server was excellent and helped us with the menu choices as some were a bit of a different style Italian than the norm. The Burrata appetizer was amazing and very fresh. My husband had the cacciatore and loved it. I had the marinara and while it was good I didn't love it. It was a bit sweet for marinara and needed Locatelli cheese. Again, not bad just different for my taste. I do want to try other entrees the next time we are visiting the area because I'm sure they are great as well. I had their version of an espresso martini which was made with spiced rum. I was intrigued and my first sip was interesting. The second was good and the rest of the sips were delicious! Really good! The toasted bread was outstanding and came with aioli sauce. My husband had the White Lightening, a fettuccine in an excellent cream sauce. This is an Italian restaurant with a western theme in a strip mall. The food was very good, BUT everything was too salty. Shaved Parmesan with grated Parmesan. Salt on salt. always top notch. I'm a fan of white lightning and I was leery about adding chicken because I'm picky. They grill the chicken in house and the marinade and flavors compliment this dish. They have great appetizers and specials, some of which I wish were always on the menu. The burrata ball with grilled bread, basil, tomato and balsamic reduction is to die for. They get to know you are kind and welcoming and can point you in the right direction if you're not sure where to start. Also, the bar area is nice and not crowded. Spaghetti Westurn is a fun, eclectic, spectacular restaurant hidden in a strip mall with make-shift signs, a large barber shop and a busy vape shop. The location is nowhere near where you think you'll find a great meal - but that's what is delivered here. The restaurant runs efficiently. The greeter took us to our table and was our waitress. The three servers working all took turns pouring drinks at the bar. The kitchen had two or three people in it cranking out the dishes, and yet it works seamlessly. We started with the Fogata Ricotta as a starter. Crispy bread comes with the whipped cheese, pickled grapes and honey. The grapes are amazing. The crunch of the bread with the creamy ricotta is a perfect bite. For entrees, I had the White Lightning and my wife had the special which was similar to the Prairie Dog. Both of our pastas had a cream sauce, which can often be too thick or clumpy, but here it was done really well. It was a silky sauce that complemented the homemade pasta rather than taking over the dish. The White Lightning had artichokes and crispy bits, which was bacon or pancetta. For dessert we had the campfire cake, which was a chocolate cake with almonds and fresh whipped cream. A great ending. The pasta here is homemade. The service is friendly and well-paced and the recommendations provided were spot on. The interior has a western theme and there are old Western movies on the TV's. It's a very interesting place and I mean that in a good way, and we'll be back. I think every dish on the menu appealed to us. read more

I pass by this place on my way home but always thought it was a place selling dry goods like dried home made pasta (provisions might have thrown me off?) finally stopped in... My rating is based on two visits. Simply the best pasta you can get around greater Greenville. The sauces and spritzers are also very good. Highly recommended if you like really good Italian food at a reasonable price. This is one of the best places in Greenville. How is this not on everyone's list?! This was recommended by someone i met on the plane and despite that guy being really annoying, I'm actually grateful for him! ha. Why? Because know I know about Spaghetti Westurn. The ambience is kitsche, but it actually works. The food is unreal delicious. We don't really get stuff like this in Greenville. This is one of our top 5 and rates up there with Trappe Door, Anchorage, Fork & Plough, Mr Crisp, and the like. Jason! You're doing a great job and we loved our dinner. Can't wait to come back. I've been here one other time and absolutely loved it. We called and they had plenty of bar seating so we sat at the bar and had a great meal. We drove out there today to do the same only to find out the bar was closed because they didn't have a bartender so they didn't even have barstools out. We were tuned away. How are they going to operate on a Saturday without a bartender? Place was dead, no music and a dull ambiance compared to the last visit. They need to figure out their service and reservation system. Been looking at their menu for past two years and just couldn't get excited. I don't eat cheese and not a lot of pasta. My wife on the other hand loves both. So we came here for our anniversary. SW is a comfortable place with western movies playing and a western motif. Staff was very pleasant, attentive but not overbearing. Quirky might describe the menu. We had the gnocchi w/brisket to start. The bite size dumplings were just right and the brisket bits were great. My wife had the bolognese and said it was delicious. I had the Lady of the night entree. A black shell like pasta with salmon and shrimp in a subtle broth. Awesome. The flourless chocolate cake was good but not exceptional like the other dishes. Next time we will order the bread and oil appetizer. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are available but limited. This is not a serious drinking place but doesn't have to be. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. They have a real chef that truly knows how to prepare delicious and different food. The appetizers alone are a meal. You can't go wrong. We shared the gnocchi (Do You Even Gnocchi?) with brisket, risotto balls (Rocky Mountain, Cloisters), and Barata cheese with roasted tomatoes, pesto, and fresh bread (Who's Cutting the Cheese). This is the place dreams are made of!!!!! Biting into the pasta and letting the layers of flavor and aromatics of the sauce is a religious experience. I was the protein chef for the soft opening of coral, I know what good food is and this food will take you a piazza in a far far away country and time where the smells of fresh baked bread and coffee awake the residents. WOW! Incredible food! Seriously every dish was something special and unique. Not weird-unique, but flavorful and not your American/Olive Garden Italian. I immediately want to go back. The only downside that would take my review down a half point (if I could do half points) is the wine selection. This is an Italian restaurant with incredible pasta dishes that beg for a good wine. The food is so fresh and full of beautiful, rich flavors. I'm so happy to have found Spaghetti Westurn! This is a pasta place with a Western (in a fun, "howdy pardner!" way) theme. My husband and I tried it for dinner early on a Friday night. The food was *on point*. We had two appetizers, including a perfectly-dressed arugula salad with grapes, pecans and gorgonzola ("Sour Grapes") and a small plate of gnocchi, brisket and tomatoes ("Do You Even Gnocchi?") that was one of the better things I've ever eaten in Greenville. We shared two main pasta dishes ("White Lightning" with tagliatelle, artichokes and more in a cream sauce, and "Black Gold" with squid-ink fusilli, tomato and squash). You can add a protein to your pasta dish, and at our server's excellent suggestion, we added grilled chicken to the Black Gold dish. Here too, both main dishes were delicious. Everything else was similarly well-done. Our server was friendly and helpful but not overly intrusive. The atmosphere was pleasant and laid-back. We each had a cocktail, both excellent -- we agree that their "Slow Mosey" has become our favorite Bloody Mary in town. The prices were very reasonable for this level of quality dining. We heard of this restaurant via IG and were so blown away by the entire experirence and the food. Preface: Wednesday, 7pm. First off, the chef hosted us at the table which was very unique and genuine. That totally blew us away. We had the fried mortadella to start.....amazing. Who thinks of that? But it was perfect!! We shared the Bolognese which, by the way, was unbelievable. We took to-go because we didn't have the stomachs to eat anymore.....it was the meatballs and spaghetti and the rice pudding.....we had to try both before they hit the fridge.....divine! Execellent restaurant! We made a reservation and went on Friday night after hearing so many recommendations for the restaurant. I've seen differing opinions on if a reservation is necessary and I'm still not certain, but it was easy to make. The restaurant was relatively small but had plenty of tables. The service was friendly and moved smoothly. We received our food and drinks at a nice pace. To drink, they had beer (canned), wine, and cocktails. While they had several beer options, we thought the list could have more craft or local options for at least our taste. To start, we had the ricotta spread and the sour grapes salad. Both were great. The salad was a refreshing start, and realizing we would be sharing it, they split the salad into two plates which was appreciated! The ricotta with honey drizzle and grilled bread was delicious and was a large portion (would be perfect for four people). For entrees, we had the spaghetti + meatballs and the "Lady of the Night" which was black pasta with seafood and a spicy, brothy sauce. We thought both were fantastic. Finally got a chance to give this place a try after hearing rave reviews. Greenville can be a tough place for new restaurants and I'm glad that this one is doing well. They have a unique concept and deliver on it flawlessly. We were seated right away, welcomed by a person that was cleaning tables (who we would find out was the owner, Jason). They took our order, explained any questions we had and were very attentive throughout the process. The food was hot, and tasty. We do not do many Italian restaurants, as my wife is Gluten-Free. She was very excited when we found out this restaurant had GF Pasta. We all loved our pasta and the personalized attention that the staff seemed to take with all of their guests. We watched each table as they attempted to make a real connection and make people feel at home. My only regret...is that we had no room for dessert! Decent Italian food. Homemade pasta so I tried the bolognese which was salty and a very small portion for $19. No bread, no salad just a small bowl of pasta. Parking is a nightmare when they are busy but I would go again just not go hungry. I stopped for a small burger on the way home at McDonalds because I was still hungry. read more
