Last night was the worst I've even seen. First they had the host who was sitting everyone coughing all over the place and touching menu's and silverware. I told him to put on a mask and he gave me a dirty look. Second the was a guy with a damn dog in the restaurant. I have loved Spaghetti Works since I started eating here in high school (more than 30 years ago). This was by far our worst service ever. Our server, Jasmine was beyond unpleasant. At no point did she smile or offer any form of welcome. She actually scowled several times. My 12 year old nephew was not permitted to order a kid's meal because he looks older than 12 (yes, he's tall) and had no idea (he's 12...), but my almost 14 year old son was because he looks 12 (he's short). She also wouldn't let my nephew-in-law share his salad with my niece (his wife) because it's one salad bar trip per person. He didn't want the salad. He wanted to share it with his wife, but our server informed us we'd have to pay for an additional salad. Our food was good and another server, Belle saw the poor service we were receiving and attempted to make up for it with exceptional service of her undertaking. She filled empty drink glasses that Jasmine ignored and made sure we didn't run out of or need anything else. Thank you to her for salvaging at least some enjoyment for our dinner. We got there and we didn't have a reservation so it was a little wait, but that's expected. They got us in relatively quickly and our server was very attentive. (Shoutout to John!) We are from out of town and he was very patient with our questions and knowledgeable about the menu. We got the spaghetti and it came with salad and garlic bread. I love that they take your order and (if salad comes with your meal) you go to the salad bar and get what you like while you wait for your main dish. It allows you to get what you want on your salad and walk around a little. It was a refreshing change from a typical sit down restaurant. The salad bar was made from a truck (so cute and fun) and the food was fresh. There were a lot of choices of toppings and dressings. The spaghetti and garlic bread came out at a good time, and both were fantastic. The decor was cute and the atmosphere was great. I'm glad we found this place! read more

I have had a real difficult few weeks but my last 24 hours has been stressful.. my husband and I went to spaghetti works in Spaghetti Works - Omaha Ralston we go there quite frequently my husband loves their salad bar.. well this evening Sunday April 2 was very traumatizing. My husband and I order our Jean I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo for 15.49 when it arrived at the table I began eating and it was delicious but I was poking around with the fork looking for chicken I seen one little cube probably 1/4" as I was serching the waiter TIM T. Said "the chicken is in there it's in little pieces chill" I was not hyper I was quite calm and simply though it was overlooked . My husband joked around with him but I didn't find this disrespectful comment amusing but with all going on in my life it just wasn't worth the hassle I want an enjoyable meal. My husband and I finished eating our waiter TIM T took our check brought me a box and went to serve a booth 2 Booths behind us . As I was walking past a customer was asking him about eggs on the salad bar and he answered appropriately saying he mentioned it to his manager but they are out and the lady simply said I love your salads and that all I eat when I'm here and he said "It is what it is" I was leaving and was not going to complain about his disrespect but when I heard him disrespect a woman right in front of her husband as he did me I stopped and told her she was not wrong for thinking it disrespectful tone. We went to the front together is two strangers me 54. We asked for a manager and it was a young girl I can give you the time this took place to view cameras if you have them. The manager should have training in situations like this. She stood there wide eyed not apologizing or anything. It was the oddest display of management I have seen. Up walks TIM T I point him out. And tell him in an appropriate manor what he did and how it made me feel as well as her and he laughed and he continued to laugh. I ask him why he is laughing. He said because I don't take it personal. I said you were disrespectful that is personal, and he continue to laugh in my face as well as the other ladies face.. I continued on to tell him that he is not showing empathy for what he did. I told him that he doesn't know where his customers have gone through and they just want to come in for a peaceful meal that I am going through a lot right now and he continues to laugh. I have never in all my years ever seen this disrespect in customer service. I have PTSD from trauma in my life and he was being ver narcissistic if not sociopathic he was literally deriving pleasure from our pain. I have had a horrible month and this I Happens right at a point when I feel I can break. I went to my car and came back in asking for corporates number only to have about 4 teens laughing at me like I'm a difficult customer and not a customer who was victimized. I am a para educator and a small business owner. I have always found spaghetti works to be a classy place but it looks like they may be taking a turn to the trashy side! I am heart broken and I had to call the old market spaghetti works to get corporates number because everyone in there told me they don't have access to it and no one got the manager for me. Old market Spaghetti Works staff said exactly what Ralstons manager should have. He had such a calm professional demeanor, and has knowledge on how to be a server! Food was hot and amazing ! And the 30 minute wait went by quick! Due to COVID-19 and the current quarantine, my family was rather stuck between a rock and a hard place. We traveled to Omaha from Arizona to surprise my parents with a visit from the grandkids during spring break. Two days after we arrived, everything exploded and businesses shut down. For a family of 9 on vacation, this made finding meals and eating quite a challenge. We had just sat down and gotten our drink order when the governor announced no more than 10 people in public places. (Did I say my family is one of 9 people?). Well, that worried us. I thought, darn, there goes dinner, now what are we going to do? Thankfully, our server took things into her own hands, talked to her manager and they decided we could eat our dinner. For all practical purposes, they 'grandfathered' us in and let us eat. Not only that, they didn't rush us. Our group, was able to enjoy an excellent meal, with fantastic service, at a reasonable price. And our order was not small (remember, 9+ people because we had family with us). Not a single mistake, lots of leftovers because they were closing the next day, and we couldn't have asked for a better waitress. She was just fantastic. Thank you so much for a fantastic meal. My husband and I went to the 84th St location tonight at 7:45. The hostess was standing at the podium eating crackers, didn't look up, looked at her watch and sighed. They close at 9 pm. She said it will be 25 min. There were empty tables everywhere and looked to be staffed well. I said "okay, did you need a name? " she actually rolled her eyes at me and said "No" then five minutes later without moving she says "Come on" and sits us. Waiter John very nice. Food was horrible. We had lunch here this week. It's been a while due to Covid. We thought we would try it out again. And nothing changed. My complaint is the salad bar. They do make it to be stocked but they need to change up the sides a little bit instead of the same side salads that have been there for 20+ yrs. Cucumbers should be sliced not diced. But the biggest complaint is the lettuce. There's just never fresh lettuce. It's always small pieces, droopy , soft and lot of brown in the lettuce. I used to really like Spaghetti Works, but they changed up a few things a year or two ago, and it's just not the same. Some of our favorite items are gone, and the Italian Sodas no longer have free refills. That said, there are still some positives. The pasta is all you can eat, and the button mushrooms are fantastic. I suggest trying them on top of beer cheese sauce. The Italian Sodas are a unique item you don't see often, and I enjoy several of the flavors. They are also part of the Pinpoint program, and are pretty generous with the rewards. read more

My first reaction was concerning walking in. They have a salad bar and there were many people walking around touching the utensils, very close to each other. We were recently visiting Omaha from Colorado and decided to take our kids to Spaghetti Works. It was a great experience. Our server Joey was so attentive but in a very noninvasive way. We would barely notice we were out of a drink and he would be there with a refill - we were very impressed! We each had a different type of pasta and my husband had the sampler plate with all of their sauces to try. The salad bar was also delicious. What a great experience. Hadn't been for many years, sad to say it's not as good as it used to be. Our service was very good though, quick to bring our food, refills, etc. and very polite. The salad bar is very good, many choices, well stocked, clean and cold. I ordered a "specialty " on the menu, three cheese tortellini. Not sure why is was marked special-boiled tortellini, not very well drained, with red sauce on top. I guess I was expecting it to be maybe baked with some cheese on top? Nope. I only had a couple bites, not even worth eating, disappointing. I've had way better at Fazoli's. I am grateful the salad bar and bread were good, only gave four stars for that and the service. I used to be a fan of the Spaghetti Works in the Old Market. That one went downhill a few years ago. I figured I'd give this one a chance when one of my friends invited me there. Ugh, I should have known better. This is probably the worst Italian place I've ever been to. I ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer for $5.99. It was plain and boring, not very tasty, and certainly too expensive for what we got. For my entree, I ordered mostaccioli with spicy marinara, topped with provolone cheese. The salad bar comes with the pasta entree. The base price of the spicy sauce is $6.49, with an additional 99 cents for the cheese. The salad bar was dismal. There was only some wilting iceberg lettuce (no spinach), a few veggies, and a pile of dirty plates. I dug around and found a reasonably clean looking plate because the bus boy wasn't paying attention and didn't realize that the salad bar had been out of plates for 15 minutes. I figured that my pasta would come served with shredded or at least melted cheese on top. Apparently the preferred way of putting cheese on pasta at Spaghetti Works is to take a slice of cheese out of a commercial package, lay it on the pasta, then top it with sauce. The cheese tasted exactly how it looked--governmental and unnatural. The sauce wasn't very spicy and it certainly wasn't very good. Keep in mind that if the food wasn't bad enough, the atmosphere was worse! There was a family with what seemed like dozens obnoxious kids next to our table. Also, since we were dining a bit later at night, the staff was already trying to clean up the place for close (even though it wasn't set to close for another hour). The pine scent of the industrial cleaner being used was overwhelmingly nauseating. I'll never go to this place again. The mere thought of it reminds me of bad food and the scent of Pinesol. read more

The owner contacted me and asked that I be constructive so, here it is. Keep your salad bar clean. No one likes shit mixed in with their toppings that shouldn't be there. It was downright filthy. Stop using canned mushrooms in your pasta. While I'm sure they are more cost effective, they overpower the flavor of the entire dish. Put some love into the presentation. Every dish we were served was sloppy and looked and tasted like it was made by and for children. Throw a little fresh parsley or grated cheese on, we eat with our eyes first. Ordered artichoke dip which was really thick. Had to scrape the hard top layer of cheese? to be able to "dip"...although the bread that it came with was the best thing out of the whole dinner. My daughter got lasagna, she didnt like the flavor and the pasta seemed overcooked and way too premade. I got the gluten free pasta with spicy italian sausage and added shrimp. We have never been here before and just wanted some food that didn't cost an arm & leg. The prices are decent, and the portions are as well. I hate when you go to Italian places and there is so much pasta you just waste it all. I got the classic spaghetti and meatballs, and it was good. I enjoyed the sauce; it had chunks of tomatoes and was also had some flavor. The meatballs were great! Normally, you can tell a place makes them before and freezes them, but with these they tasted so fresh. My fiance got the chicken alfredo. He loved the alfredo sauce. He also enjoyed the garlic bread as well. I enjoy the simple salad bar and the garlic bread as a side. I do not always need to "wine and dine," when I go out for dinner. It had been awhile since the last time we ate here. My good friend brought me here for my birthday dinner. The hosts that greeted us were friendly and outgoing. Hannah, our server was delightful and had a great personality for the position she's in. She was helpful and accommodating. I ordered the angel hair with meat sauce and my friend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Both came with the salad bar. When we got in line at the salad bar, there was hand sanitizer we were to use before grabbing our trays and plates to make and carry our salads on. The food, as normal, came out pretty quickly and did not disappoint. As I observed my surroundings I saw several safety measures being taken by the staff. There is no consideration for the customer here. One waiter that is overworked and everyone crowded together in his area. He tries to be considerate but test of staff works against him. I asked to sit near door and salad bar but was refused. Next family asked for a booth and was actually told no. This is unreal!!!! Girls really wanted speg and that is only reason I stayed.
