Utterly forgettable pizza spot which seems designed for tourists' impulse-snacking. On the upside, service is fairly quick, but the good really ends there. The pizza is a pale comparison to a NY-style pie, and oily enough I went through multiple napkins before putting the slice in my mouth. The "outdoor" view is of the road, and while the North Shore is tranquil and lovely to look at, it's not like you would really want to pair your pizza with car exhaust. If you're in the area and in a hungry hurry, and there's not a line of tourists waiting for their slices, stop in. Otherwise, drive on to many better options. read more

[November 2010] After touring the Dole plantation and driving to Haleiwa to swim at Waimea Bay with my husband and cousin, I wanted to check out food options on the Kam highway. I was really planning on trying some Matsumoto Shave Ice but it was disappointingly closed by the time we arrived (it was my only chance to be in the area for the rest of my honeymoon). We were hungry and wanted a place that was cheap. After checking out the North Shore Marketplace, which seemed to be priced for tourists, we started to walk back to the car when we noticed Spaghettini. It looked super-laid back and had outdoor seating and the prices were definitely right. Our spaghetti and meatballs and fettuccine alfredo dishes was decent tasting and a decent portion. I am a NY-born & raised pizza enthusiast (OK, facist), and one thing that is really lacking in Hawaii, at least on O'ahu, is good, NY-style pizza. I can tolerate the big chains (PH, DP, PJ) on a Friday night because of the convenience of delivery, but just barely. There was a place called Antonio's in Pearl City and Kahala that did it right, and had my regular business for a while, but they went out of business a few years ago. Spaghettinis was a close second in my book, but I don't get to Hale'iwa enough to be a regular. I was feeling the urge last night, however, and made the drive from Mililani with high expectations. Unfortunately, something about the recipe has changed since my last visit, and the crust ended up being way thicker and doughier that it was before, and there was something odd about the cheese. Sauce and toppings were great, as I recalled, but after I forced my way through a couple of slices, I decided that Spaghettinis no longer makes top-tier NY-style pizza, and felt frustrated that I invested an hour on the road to bring these pizzas home. Well - I guess judging from the reviews - we ate on the wrong day. We ordered the clam spaghetti which was over loaded with onions and lacked the flavor of clams because someone must have forgot to use the juice. We ordered the meat sauce - which had more onions than meat and was all and all quite disgusting. Two of us ordered the sausage and pepper sandwich that was quite good once you manage to cut through the more than tough outside skin of the microwave Italian sausage swimming in dead peppers and red sauce. We were kind of afraid to order any of the pizza because it looked dead in the case like it may have been there for a day already. My husband and I have heard so much about this place (mixed reviews) that we finally decided to give it a try. We're so happy we did! We had our 10 month old daughter with us in a stroller. The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars is because it was VERY difficult for us to maneuver her around with out feeling like we weren't in any bodies way. Other than that this place was great! The employees are very nice and the menu had a ton of options! We decided to try the pizza and were so happy to find out that they serve it by the slice. So fresh, delicious and you can beat the price at 4 dollars a slice. We definitely found our new pizza spot. Heads up - not a lot of sitting area so we ended up having to get our food to go. We recently relocated here and thus far dig Haleiwa far more than Wahiawa.. We like the Malama Market and decided to stop in and check out this place for lunch. We both got a slice and were pleasantly surprised at how crispy the bottom was. Not a lot of sauce, which I like. I think we'd go back again and try another slice or possibly get a whole pizza to take to the beach and chill with the sunset :) read more

The menu made everything look so gooood ... but I was wrong. Ordered the shrimp marinara pasta ... I mean, it was okay ... a little subpar I guess. The pizza was decent. Don't even try to use their restroom, it's nasty as hell. Watch out for a diseased cat that runs back and forth like a carnivorous rat. I wish I never saw how dirty the back kitchen was .... bleh. Most everyone in my group was satisfied. We liked that we could choose either a mini or regular plate. My mini plate of spaghetti was generous--glad I didn't get the regular. As a New Yorker I'm always looking for pizza. I try everything piazza place I pass and this place reminded me of home. All the pizzas on the island are unique but none really have that New York taste. They said they had New York style pizza and they delivered. It had the perfect marbling of cheese and sauce. My bf and I happen to stumble at this place in the heart of Haleiwa town, across from Longs Drugs. My bf got two slices of pizza (Pepperoni and hawaiian). They give you huge slices btw and are at the window ready to be heated and given (pre-heated/made there). I got the chicken fettuccini alfredo. I was content eventhough it was missing some flavors and my mini order came with two slices of garlic bread which were tastier than the alfredo (comes in regular or mini). They have only outdoor seating which is nice, and they either will bring your meal to you or call out your number. The "combo," listed at $4.35, has it worded such that you think that in addition to the $4 pizza, you get a small drink and small side salad with it. Nope. It's $4.35 EXTRA! the wifey & i stopped in to grab something to eat after a day at Shark's Cove and Sunset.... we both ordered pasta dishes cuz the pics looked pretty damn tasty. however when we received our plates it was a different story. the dishes weren't too bad. yet is wasn't too good either. the chicked that i had in my fetuccini alfredo was pretty darn dry. i think we should have tried their pizza cuz it looked like that was what all the locals were ordering. a fire truck with about 5 firefighters came up and placed a large order of pizzas. looked like they were beat. there was a fire raging near Wailua. they were some cool cats. one dude was playing having fun of a kid that was sitting with his pops. as we sat there on the lanai finishing up our food locals would walk up and chop it up with the firefighters. i thought that was pretty cool. read more

I wish I had pictures to post, because my review won't be enough to prove how awesome they are. I looooove Spaghettinis, it's my number 1 go to place to eat at in Haleiwa! Their pizza slices are huge and delicious. I love the crispy crust! This is going to sound super simple of me, but I always go here to get their chicken strips and fries! Literally the best I've ever had, and I always get ranch with it...they give you a huge cup! We frequent the North Shore on the weekends and visit Spaghettini pretty often when we're not eating at the steak/shrimp trucks. I don't consider myself a New York City pizza connoisseur, I've just had it a few times. The pizza here is good, but it's just not a New York City pizza to me. In my opinion, it's more similar to a (dare I say it?) Boston North End pizza than a true New York City one. The pastas are just okay as well. A little too watered down and sweet at the same time. Their sign says New York Style Pizza and Pasta. Sadly, they are far from it. The food isn't terrible but it is pretty steep. I suppose that's to be expected from anything in Haleiwa! read more

First of all parking sucks there and getting out of there good luck!!! Customer service is alright there nice but they make you wait for a bit..foods good and they give a lot!! If you want a quick and easy carry out Italian meal this place is for you. This was my first time at this establishment and it wasn't spectacular or horrible either. Three stars because there wasn't anything that WOWed me or deterred me from coming again. I ordered a penne bolognese regular sized to go. The lady at the window who took my order was friendly ad helpful, everything I would expect from a well-trained staff. Sat and waited with my friend and our order was ready in ten minutes. I was satisfied with the wait time and service. Now the big kicker for me is the food quality. The portions are small for the pricing. Considering the pasta itself tasted like cafeteria quality there is no real reason to charge over $10 for a regular sized to go container. This is our second time coming to spaghettini and everytime is just as good. We tried the mushroom pizza , ravioli, chicken strips and spaghetti and everything was really fresh and so good definitely going to be craving this once we head back home ! We stopped by for dinner around sunset, after hearing how good it was. We've been missing our New York and Jersey Italian food and this spot ended up being an good alternative here on the island. We got a few slices; cheese, spinach & garlic and a supreme, an Italian sausage hero, Caesar salad, bruschetta and they all were ready pretty quick. The only thing my daughter and I didn't care for is the sauce just tasted off and way too acidic.
