I love spangles! I've relocated to the west coast and every time I come back to Kansas for a visit I always try to hit one up. The 50s theme of the restaurant is cute and fun. I always get the Philly cheesesteak meal and I always forget how good it is until I have it again. The sandwich is perfect! Only criticism that I have is I wish the drinks on the menu were coke products instead of Pepsi products. Also pleasantly surprised to see alcohol is on their menu. I have her to try it though. I ordered the sourdough ham omelet meal with an OJ slush. I noticed the cups for the OJ slush were smaller and the amount of eggs and ham I received is also much smaller. Now it is all bread. This will be my last time eating here. read more

Used to eat here all the time with my dad growing up. We would always hit the 47th and Broadway location. It was nice to be able to eat here with my dad again this day. I got the all American meal deal for $5. It was a ton of food for the money. You get a hamburger and fries. Also you get an ice cream for dessert. I got their pumpkin pie ice cream. The lady working the drive thru was short and rude. I tried to ask a question and was immediately cut off telling me my payment total. Prior to my visit I even tried calling with a question and the person was unable to answer a simple menu question. I will not be visiting this Spangles ever again! Ate at Spangles for lunch today. Some coworkers and I need a quick lunch, so we decided to just stop here. The place serves mostly burgers and fries. They also have many different shakes. The atmosphere has a 50's type theme. Because I've been trying to watch what I eat, I decided to order a chicken teriyaki bowl. I didn't think it was that good. Maybe that is my fault for ordered a rice bowl from a burger joint. However, I also noticed that a coworker that ordered the Philly Cheesesteak did not finish his food. I'd say that the food at Spangles is below average. I was actually a little offended when one of the people I was with (not from CA) said that it was like In-N-Out...haha! A year ago I would have given Spangles five stars just for their French fries and decor. Their freshness made to order jingle has gone out the door especially during rush hours you are likely to get a burger that has been at least partially pre cooked. Ever since they came out with the seasoned fires the normal fries have become a lot more greasy. I will still eat here occasionally but just a burger without the fries and during non rush hour times. read more

Just moved to Wichita KS from San Diego, CA. Tried Spangles for the very first time on 02/27 my second day in town. I Have to say it is now my go to place for a good quick burger. I had the sour dough Philly sandwich. It was very flaverfull. The fries are now tied for best fries with Rally's/checkers fries. The staff was very friendly welcoming us to Wichita and the even gave my dog a dog biscuit. read more

For at least 10 years I have said that Spangles makes the best fries over EVERYONE else. That was true until today when I tried their new seasoned fries. I got the garlic parmesan and ranch. They were both horrible!!! SO salty I couldn't enjoy any flavor. Then I don't know why they have made the perfect crispy french fry and then placed them not in their cups like normal but into styrofoam boxes so that when i opened they box they were already soggy. In a moments of hunger I always order the Sourdough bacon egg and cheese WITH NO BUTTER ON THE BREAD. Miss the last part of the request, and the sandwich becomes pretty heavy. Sans butter, it's actually something I crave. 3 trips through the drive through, 3 wrong orders, 3 different sandwiches. ALL WITH BUTTER. It was apparent on the day I went through, the correct sandwich was not going to happen, much less a simple side request of sandwich on DRY BREAD. My requests were met with blank stares. I was the only car in the drive through, Spangles. You can do better than that. I'm not sure what corporate metrics you use to quantify efficiency, but I can tell you this doesn't work under any of those. read more

Great atmosphere. The burgers are way over priced for what you get. I paid 2.49 for a burger I can get at McDonald's for half the price. Oh wait, I can get two off the value menus for that! Will not be returning to Spangles for the food. Not very economical! read more
