There's not too many parking spaces at the front of the buildings, but there is more parking in the back of the Super Store (Simply the Best). Place your order and pickup your order at the windows. After a night of drinking, I woke up today and wanted a breakfast burrito. I wanted to splurge and spend 14 bucks on something good, and figured I didn't want to be too full for the entire day, so I ended up at Spanglish because their burritos is a tad bigger than a taco bell burrito. I phone ordered an asada breakfast burrito with bacon. It came out to be 14.61. The price of this is comparable to ordering at a sitdown restaurant with full service. I get to the hole in the wall spot and there was no line. I paid my tab and got the food and went home to enjoy. I took a few bites out of the burrito and thought to myself, this is nasty. What kind of asada is this. I peered at the burrito and noticed there was no asada! It was just bacon. Now the question is, if the instructions to make a burrito was simple and color coded, and i am paying for asada and there's no line, how did they mess up?? There's a lack of quality control, or just plain English, they don't care. I urge anyone ordering food here to open the wrapper and open the burrito, before leaving to make sure the order was right. I make home meals about 80% of the time... but when I don't feel like cooking this is our go-to! I am obsessed with the BBQ chicken, shrimp salad, rib eye tacos, tortas, pozole and the amazing FLAN. My husband has two things he gets, it's either mole enchiladas or Chicken torta. Creature of habit lol. This place is so delicious and the staff is great. I don't know what happened to this place but the food is now bland. Chorizo burrito has shrunk with mostly flavorless rice, dry beans a little sprinkling of chorizo. We ordered chicken pozole but got pork instead but it was very good. It was full of pork was very delicious. I saw the cafe de olla and had to try it. It has more of a smoky flavor but very good. The fish tacos were good too. I think they use a heartier fish like swordfish. We weren't disappointed. We ordered a few items off the menu. Al pastor burrito- the meat was dry and looked like chicharrón. Carnitas burrito- the meat was also dry. A bit better than the Al pastor meat. Shrimp taco- this was good. Had some flavorful. Chorizo tacos- better than everything we ordered. There was flavor and it was topped off with cilantro and purple onion. Chicken quesadilla- basic and greasy. The most disappointing item. The place is located on the corner of Alhambra and Atlantic. It's a small corner lot with no seating. We got it to go. The service was fast. Make sure to order salsas! As they do not mention or give you any. They carry 3 different salsas. Personally, we like our salsa on the hot side. I love the food here and I love my crispy shrimp taco and I ordered today. The Carnitas torta which I have ordered so many times cause it's so delicious and I continue to order it even though they've cut back a lot on how much meat they have in it but today I don't know what happened. It's like somebody I mean it was so excessive. It was like the top came off the salt shaker while they were pouring it there was so much salt that it burnt my tongue when I was eating it. It was almost inedible, and I have to try and control myself, and I finish the whole thing in one setting usually I'm saying this has a heads up cause I don't know what happened really the salt was so of that and I love salt that it had to have been something got messed up so I just want to give you heads up so you better check that out. It's my first time trying this spot. I got the Nacho Fries (Pastor.) The pork was alright and I was expecting the fries to be a little crispier. I work in Rosemead and there's not many Mexican food around the area but I found this one and decided to try it, I got the pastor burrito, chips and guac, and a horchata, the burrito is pretty big I ended up eating the whole thing lol, they give you 3 different salsa my favorite was the habanero one bc I love spicy, and the guac was good and fresh, the horchata was really good as well! Since I drive to Pasadena pretty frequently, I often drove past by this place and I finally had an opportunity to give this place a try after ignoring it for 6 long years. Their most popular items are mostly tacos and burritos, but you can also order salads, tortas, Enchiladas, soupe, huaraches, nachos, fries, chilaquiles, quesadillas, and even chicken soup. Parking lot is shared with a liquor store and I didn't have an issue finding a spot to park on Saturday night. Outdoor patio area is available. They have three salsa options to choose from (red, green, and habenero) - spicy level for mild salsa was tolerable. *** Potato Taco (chipotle potato, cabbage, sour cream, queso fresco, crunchy corn tortilla - $2.60): It had the biggest portion out of the 4 tacos I ordered due to the huge crunchy corn tortilla. I had few potato tacos before and they weren't exactly memorable, but this one was surprisingly good due to smooth texture from potato. Grilled Shrimp Taco (Grilled shrimp, onion, tomato, cabbage, aioli, avocado, corn tortilla - $3.35): Another A+ taco and probably the best one out of the 4 tacos I ordered. Creamy avocado + grilled shrimp = delicious. Asada Taco (Steak, onion, cilantro, corn tortilla - $2.60) & Pastor Taco (Marinated pork, onion, cilantro, corn tortilla - $2.35): Both tacos weren't too bad, but they are lackluster comparing against potato & shrimp tacos. *** A solid 4.25-star on tacos. I live a few blocks from Spanglish kitchen. Its been my go to place for years until recently. I ordered my usual Torta and was disappointed to see that it had shrunk to half the size it was normally and the bread was not the same. This time the Torta was on what looked and tasted like two paper thin wafers. So sad. I don't mind paying for quality food but don't skimp on ingredients and portions. This is a small walk-up window to order type place. It was busy last night (a week night) Wednesday around 630pm. I'm not sure why people like this place. I ordered two different things and I thought both were just ok. Service was soooo slow. We waited well over 15-20mins for 2 asada burritos and 2 aguas frescas. I had an asada burrito, piña agua fresca and asada torta. I think I enjoyed the torta more than the burrito. I felt the asada on both my burrito and torta were on the dryer side. :/ The torta came with some potato chips. I liked my agua fresca but would have preferred less ice. It's on a busy street on Atlantic among other businesses in a shopping plaza. You can't miss it since it's right at the corner. Small patio on the side with tables. We got takeout from here for lunch because one of my friends recommended this restaurant. I'm sure this place would be a lot better if I dined in, but the takeout was a bit disappointing. The food was a bit soggy and salty. I thought the meat was on the dry side. I really like nachos but they weren't crispy by the time I ate them. On the bright side, I liked the watermelon juice! This plaza isn't really great at all. It's a small shared plaza with several other stores, including this liquor store that seems to get many business.. and I was tailgated into that plaza cause someone was such in a rush and stole the parking spot in front of me... like?????? Anyways, this place deserves a better location. Ordering was easy and it seems like theres only patio seating with a few tables. I ordered three tacos: carne asada, crispy shrimp, and al pastor. Each taco was about $3, but they actually pack a lot of meat on each taco. My favorite was the crispy shrimp taco. The shrimp was huge and packed with a lot of juice, and the sauce they used on it tasted really well with everything they had together. I even enjoyed how it has tomatoes in it too. The al pastor was my second favorite, it was very flavorful! A bit too tender, so I wish it could be softer, and i'm glad they added pieces of pineapple on it too. The least favorite was the carne asada. They give a lot of the meat, but it was a bit tough and too chewy, so I feel like this one could have be cooked a little better. After many, many months of wanting to try this spot, I finally got my chance today. The food overall was insanely delicious. I got to try the carnitas burrito which was amazing, the asada taco was packed with flavor & the homemade tortilla was absolutely amazing. I also tried their $10 beef ribeye taco & that thing blew me away. Tons of meat for one taco. The location has pretty limited parking, so plan for street parking if needed & the tables were pretty dirty. The customer service was pretty friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place to others. Came here in the late afternoon and found parking space in front. Ordered and paid at the front and pick-up on the side. There's about 4-5 outdoor dining tables that can seat up to 4 each. Can get a little chilly in the late afternoon and the traffic on Atlantic Blvd. is a bit too loud to hold a conversation sometimes. They have string lights that turn on when it gets dark. Food is good and comes out relatively quick. We had an asada taco, asada fries, and 2 crispy fish tacos. I recommend ordering sauce for the tacos. Fries were crispy and there was a relatively large chunk of fish meat. They have Agua Frescas, so feel free to ask what flavors they have. I tried pineapple this last visit and it was good; not too sweet. Overall, friendly service, clean, and reasonable pricing. I like this spot. read more

People who ordered after me got their food before me, which is fine. I figured that since my order was probably larger, it would take longer. It took at least 40 minutes. I wish I could say it was worth the wait, but the pinto beans were obviously canned and the sole tasted like a chew toy. The asada was flavorful, and I liked that they used crinkle fries that weren't too crispy. But.. the portions were small for the price. The staff were nice. Parking can be rough since the strip mall is tiny. There are probably a total of 6 parking spots amongst 4 businesses there, including a liquor store that stocks it all. Soooo I love this place but cannot get any help. I have reached out multiple times for customer support and this is what I've gotten, silence. Usually great good and I use to order at least once a week. Now I'm getting more gristle cartilage in my chicken and I've noticed the tortillas for the tacos are either different or not prepared the same as they did when they were oil dipped then cooked. That helped keep the tortillas from falling apart. Now, every taco I've had this month has completely fallen apart and been undercooked. It's really frustrating as prices have also been raised and now they're refusing to help. I wanted to avoid this and go straight to them but looks like they don't care. read more
