    Breakfast Burrito
    Jason V.

I have driven by this place for YEARS, but finally decided to try it when I started working in the area a few weeks ago. I have tried pretty much every breakfast burrito in the area, so I decided to give theirs a try. This wasnt it. What makes a perfect BB, is when you get some of every ingredient in every bite. With this one, I didn't get that. All the bacon was in 1 area, the avocado was in one area, I didn't taste any potatoes at all, and the eggs were flavorless. I'm not sure how the rest of the food is, but I definitely won't return for a Breakfast Burrito.

Bean and cheese burrito with avocado.

Spanglish used to be so good a few years ago. It's sad that the quality has gone down. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and it was primarily cheese. To top it off the cheese was cold and not melted

I liked the ribeye taco. The cheese and avocado went well together. I got medium rare. It was tender and yummy. Probably my favorite out of tbe tacos. The crispy shrimp taco was plain. I think it was missing the tartar sauce and pico de gallo. The chicken and al pastor was more on the dry side even after adding the salsa. Flan was really firm but still yummy. Might have been an off day since they were really busy and short staffed.

My friend and I like Spanglish Kitchen, but my hubs is a little indifferent. I think it's decent portion and price and it's close to home, so I really can't complain. Hubs hasn't been the biggest fan of the burritos he's had here, thinks he can find better elsewhere...But my friend & I both enjoy their tacos & quesadilla, and I particularly liked their Chicken Soup. Easy ordering at window, and food is ready fairly quickly. Small outdoor dining area secluded to the side, but I usually order to-go. Make sure to ask for salsas at time of order!

Wow! What a great dining experience. My family and I happened to be in the area, and, as always, when we are unsure where to stop for food, we use Yelp to help us decide. This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant was a true winner in our book. Located in a small corner lot shared with a liquor store and another business, there is parking for 10-12 vehicles. The restaurant exterior was very clean and well organized, and the menu boards posted on the building were very clear, large, and easy to read. We decided on a chicken burrito, green chile chilaquiles, two Pepsi Zeros, and one horchata. Prices were very reasonable, and portions were large. The food we had was UNBELIEVABLE! The chicken burrito was loaded with chicken, beans, and light rice, and it was delicious! The chilaquiles, served with a side of black beans and Spanish rice, were perfectly prepared and offered a home-cooked taste. Wow! These were DELICIOUS! The hot salsa was VERY hot and left my tongue numb. The green, medium salsa was so good. Service was AMAZING as the young lady who took our food order was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely return here in the near future.

There's a little parking lot to get here. The arrived at a decent time. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was really tasty. It was moist enough but not soggy. The chorizo had a good flavor. The portions was perfect to leave you satisfied. The green sauce has a good kick and flavor. Although the burrito doesn't it as it can stand on it's own. I'd return again to try more of the menu!

Food is delicious!! Loved the Carnitas Breakfast Burrito and the Carne Asada Burrito. There was so much meat and the tortilla was the perfect texture too. Highly recommend this spot!

Came around 8pm on a saturday for a quick bite Its located in a small parking lot shared by 3 other shops right on the corner of the main street. Order 2 asada burritos which came out to about $25 not bad The flavor was great super flavorful and their sauces are amazing too try the orange-ish looking one its spicy and fire. Burritos are like medium size They do have outdoor seating only and you order from their window the music they played was a vibe! I love a place that plays tame impala I recommend

    Asada Torta
    Ana F.

Had to add this to my reviews cause the asada torta was BOMB . I'm still craving it til today. The meat was well seasoned and cooked....VERY tender. The beans and guacamole really made this meal. I liked the citrus taste to the guacamole. The veggies just added the perfect texture and freshness to it. The watermelon agua paired perfectly with this

$6 flan (wouldn't say the size is worth for the price)
    Scarlett L.

I ordered through delivery, and I saw that the flan looked good so i decided to order it along with the other tacos. Which were the fish taco and pastor taco, and they were pretty okay, a bit salty. Although the size of the flan I was not expecting for the price. It was $6 and the flan had the length and width of my thumb. So let's just say it's really small. (Though I do understand postmates probably upped the price)

    BBQ Chicken Plate
    Cindy S.

Pretty good! Expectations were moderate given the location and the appearance of the business. I ordered the bbq chicken plate which came with salad and rice on the side. The salad dressing is phenomenal!!! I love the tartness and the little kick it provided. The salad was super fresh. The rice was good but have had better Spanish rice. The chicken was super juicy which was a huge plus but the bbq sauce was not needed. Maybe a dry rub would have sufficed. The salsas came in mild, medium and death. The green one was my favorite. The death spice has habanero so just be warned, need a super high tolerance or your tastebuds will die. Enjoyed the experience and the outdoor dining was not terrible. No indoor dining space. The outdoor space was next to a busy street but at least the privacy hedges provided a barrier from the traffic to your dining experience. There is a bit of a wait though. I think because the food is made fresh to order which i don't mind and there's a line! Anyway, I enjoyed the dressing so much, I'll definitely will be back for more salads.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Today, I tried it and was not disappointed. I ordered the barbecue chicken plate with cilantro rice and salad. Very tasty and healthy. The chicken sauce was decent. Could of been a little more flavorful. Overall, the chicken was tender. The service was good and the place is cute. They have a small outdoor seating area. Definitely going back to try other food items.

With that said, there are always room for improvement but tonight, I'm giving a 5 star rating specifically because the Food was perfectly prepared, and one employee in particular impressed me. When we arrived around 10pm Friday night, half the restaurant was full. The available tables were slightly dirty, so looks like staff hadn't gotten to cleaning the tables yet. Seats were a bit greasy but tolerable. This is the area of improvement I would love to see. If employees are not readily available to clean the tables, just leave the wipes around so we can wipe down the tables ourselves. I'd be totally fine cleaning my table myself. While we were eating, I got the opportunity to observe several employees in action. One employee stood out. While most employees just speedily wipe down the tables and sweep the debris onto the floors. Edgar not only cleaned the tops of the tables, but also the back rests and seats, and even the tops of the trashcans!!! That level of attention to detail I greatly appreciated. I thought he was the shift manager given how much he was doing!! Not only that, he was the only employee I heard acknowledging and greeting guests. Edgar deserves all the praise! I come here maybe 2-3x a month, Food here has really been on point!! Fresh HOT crispy and juicy chicken tenders! My favorite Cane's location hands down!

My dad gave the latter half of his life to living in the Philippines when he was sent over to build Skyway Phase 1--- Manila's main highway . Remember back in the mid 90s, visiting him in Makati from Taiwan, that was the first time I was introduced to Jollibee at the 2nd Floor of one of the Robinsons Mall. And I remembered my dad tell me, here in the Philippines Jollibee is the King, McDonalds never even comes close to the traffic...... And that's when I realized Filippinos love their Fried Chicken. But in my mind back then the king of Fried Chicken was Al Baik in Saudi Arabia. Having grown up by the Red Sea, Al Baik will forever be my top choice for Fried Chicken and I think many Filipino Ex-Pats whom worked in the Arabian peninsula would agree. Anyways, back to Jollibee. I was surprised after moving to the United States, they had a Jollibee. 'cept to be honest 30 years back it didnt taste anywhere close to the quality now. The menu no longer has its iconic YumBurger and they've opted for the more obnoxious Angus burgers...which doesn't do much really, you have Giants like Habit Burger and In-N-Out taking the burger crown. Wished CoVID never happened. We had so many projects lined up in the Philippines circa 2019-- Subic Bay LNG Ocean Transport, potential takeover of the Okada Resort Casino Manila, potentially bringing over of Kaoshiung Taiwan's refinery capacity.......China wouldn't have shut down, Philippines flights wouldn't have shut down. We'd have 5 Billion USD in capital funded through Hong Kong, we would have closed a deal with Jolibee's owners to run an independent franchise outside the control of corporate. We would have gotten all the Huawei contracts and installed Chinese 5G across the Philippines islands. Ya...COVID changed the trajectory of everything. I was there in Manila 2019, watching the high economic growth momentum in Bonafacio Global City and we wanted a piece of that action. Funny how one meal makes you flash back to all the what ifs. Last thoughts here, I will give Jollibee mad props for the Guava Freeze. At first I thought it was going to be sugar overdose, but then it was actually pretty good. On the level of a smoothie you'd get at Jamba Juice but less sweeter.

We were spending the day with her in the City of Angels to run some errands and help her out and as a treat for our hard work, she wanted to treat us and to see if we concur with her lofty assertion. HR lived up to her hype and I can't wait to eat the leftovers we brought home after dining at this chicken sando institution. For me, it's definitely THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'VE EVER EATEN. Besides the spectacular grub, what I truly was impressed with was the GREAT customer service from Rico and his coworkers. There are two Howlin' Ray's in Los Angeles. The one we visited was located in Pasadena and their first location can be found in Chinatown. Both locations are popular with diners, so I recommended you visiting when the doors open. The Pasadena HR is next to Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, it's across the street from Petco and Turner's Outdoorsman, and it's just down the road from WaBa Grill and a Starbucks. This was my wife and my first visit to HR and our daughter brought us here before 5pm. Please don't be discouraged by the long line of diners waiting to enter the restaurant. The staff do a great job getting the diners through the ordering counter and finding seats for customers wanting to dine in. You'll wait in line, order your food from the register, and then wait until a table opens up. The tables consists of booths inside and tables and chairs outside under a covered patio. The customer service from the young lady at the order counter, Rico and the team ensuring that diners are seated and taken care of, and the employees expediting the food was customer friendly and customer focused. The employees were so kind, hard working, and I was really impressed by their top notch customer service. Major props to the owners for making customer service a priority. Delicious food will make customers gravitate towards a restaurant, but when combined with impeccable customer service, I understand why customers like my daughter swear by Howlin' Ray's. Yo HR ownership group, San Diego needs one of your restaurants and I can assure you that customers will inundate your restaurant. I wanted to order as much as I could from their menu, so that I could verify if the hype was real. The hype is real folks!! I ordered The Sando, Shake Fries, Collard Greens, Potato Salad, and Sweet Peach Tea. We also ordered the following dipping sauces, which are must orders: Comeback Sauce, Tennessee Tang, and Sweet Money Mustard. Their Sando comes with a boneless breast, slaw, comeback sauce, and pickles encapsulated in a butter bun. I'm a fan of spicy chicken sandwiches, so for my spice level, I chose Medium. I wanted to enjoy my food, which is why I went with medium. Rico gave me a sample of a Medium Plus piece of chicken and I'm so glad I chose medium. Medium Plus was really hot, so imagine what the high spice levels taste. The Sando was huge, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the components all ate really well together. Their collard greens were juicy and satisfying. Arguably some of the best I've eaten. The potato salad was creamy and dill infused. So yummy!! Loved their seasoned shake fries, which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing after dipping them in the variety of sauces. I am definitely a Howlin' Ray's convert and wholeheartedly concur with my daughter's positive accolades of this chicken sandwich institution. Not only was their food memorable, but the customer service from their staff matched the greatness of the grub. If you're in Los Angeles, visit Howlin' Ray's.
