While my nails weren't exactly what I asked for, and didn't even get a manicure with my full set, I kind of understood because they were so busy and seemed understaffed. Cannot understand the poor reviews. I was greeted by a friendly young man, asked to sign in and was sitting in a pedicure chair in less than five minutes. The woman who did my feet was extremely gentle-I have arthritis-and she took great care not to send me flying out of the chair! The shop was very clean, there was a large TV and there was pleasant music piped throughout. The chairs were new. I got the regular mani/pedi I wanted for $35 with friendly, hygienic and affordable service. Who could ask for more? read more

Sparkle nails is the ONLY place I'll go go to get my nails done. I've been going to Nicole for years now and have never been disappointed!! My nails last weeks with her! I've NEVER had chipped/broken nail under her care. All of the staff is so pleasant and welcoming. They can do any style/design you could possibly want, plus more. I came here based on the good reviews. I don't really know what to make of the reviews, as they're mostly 5/5, and don't seem to be fake. But, I'm not sure we went to the same nail salon. The interior was very lovely. They have a striking mural in their lobby that's really very beautiful. Most of the reviews here are about gel nails, or a regular manicure. But I don't see any about acrylics. Maybe I should have avoided this salon based on that. As far as acrylics go, these are the worst set I've ever had. I wanted french tips, and in previous applications, pink or white acrylic on the body of the nail and then white acrylic on the tips. Here they applied white tips, very sloppily. On some fingers the gap was well past a millimeter. To solve this issue, they just dumped more glue into the gap. Once the white tips were on there, they just slapped clear acrylic on it. The results look normal from above, but freakish from any other angle. They put a gel clear coat over it. I can't tell if the gel coat is the culprit, or the acrylic, but I'm left with tiny bubbles above the white tip. These tiny bubbles aren't obvious over the body of my nail, but over the white tips it reflects light, and makes it look like I have dirty nails. When I left, I thought I'd just get used to them. Wear them for a couple weeks, enjoy them, and then just not come back here. But honestly, they just look so ugly... I've never had french tips done like this in my life. I won't be coming back. Even so, like I said, this place is very beautiful and relaxing. The gel coat they put over my acrylics has stayed on without chipping so I think their expertise is gel. If you want a gel manicure, I'd suggest going here. But never for acrylics. read more

Sooo rushed here. One lady did a terrible job smudging my toes and needed to be told to fix it by another employee. Twice. Another kept leaving her client to go chat with people at the front desk. I went for a mani/pedi. The lady who was doing my pedi kept hurting me by filing on my skin enough to make it bleed. They use the same pumice stone on everyone and expect you to walk to the nail station and to wash your hands in your bare feet. I got the medium-priced pedi which was $30 and it is WAY over-priced for the service. When I left I had nail polish on the tips of my fingers and toes. I have been coming here about 2 years and as time has gone on I realize that there is just no expectations of quality unless you get the right staff member. I believe this shop needs overall retraining on a cohesive and qualitative menu. Every tech should be doing the same things for specific pedicures especially specialty pedicure on the menu with a minimum of 10 min messages for higher priced pedis! I personally come for pedicures and ALWAYS tip and ALWAYS get more than a basic my pedicure can range from 50 to 60 plus depending on what extras I choose. I always add gel as well. Depending on the tech you receive will depend on whether that pedicure is worth it. (I used to book with Theresa but I don't even know if she's still there, every tech that I have found to be very good doesn't stay at this shop) Every time I have a guest with me the guest get totally ripped off with a subpar and crappy experience and a tech that to be frank just doesn't give a crap about their work. I myself have had times where there are mistakes and the owner is always willing to fix but that should not be her trying to fix her techs work, they need better pedicure training and expectations from the boss. Took my friend here to get her nails done and she left CRYING. They did not give her what she wanted and did a very bad job at putting the acrylic nails on. Each one was crooked and messy. I really wanted to like this place. I came in after work hoping to get my nails and pedicure done. They fit me in and the manager did my nails. She has 15 years of experience and was really nice. I did find some imperfections but nothing worth writing about. Then it was time for my pedicure. I was told someone would be right over but he went and took care of someone else first. When the man came over to do my pedicure he had just had a rude lady in his chair so he was a little frazzled. Understandable. I would have been frazzled the same because she was rude. He started on my toes and scrubbed my feet a little bit. Nothing to extensive. Then he polished them for 45 MINUTES. White polish. Shouldn't take 45 MINUTES. This is where it goes down hill. He didn't put lotion on, rub my feet or do anything except clip my nails buff a little and polish. Then he charged me $38 for that pedicure. I was appalled. I wanted to like this place. I wanted it to be my new spot but NOT A CHANCE. read more

I got a set and my whole nail wasn't even covered with the acrylics and uneven. Then the paint job was horrific, my whole nail was missing pain on the sides, where my cuticles had lots of paint. Maybe this was cause they were busy and costumer hopping ( might I add pet peeve!) but just very bad quality of nails. read more

I've been here multiple times and I have never had an issue. Today made me realize I will definitely not be returning again. I had the lady who was doing my pedicure scream at me for not holding my leg up. There was no warning before she yelled at me about what I was doing wrong and she made me feel very uncomfortable. She had an attitude the rest of the time and was talking to herself in an obvious way where I knew she was talking bad about me. She looked at me while I was putting my sandals back on and did not even help but them back on. My mother had a different worker help her and pedicure and her toes had a lot of polish dried on her skin not cleaned up. I am so disappointed. read more

I went into Sparkle a week ago for a new set, came out with an okay set. A few days later, I broke a nail and saw there was a smudge from my nail polish on my big toe and I went back in a couple days after for them to fix it and did it for free. I then realized that ALL 10 of my fingernails were very messed up due to too many layers of nail polish. I went back for them to remove the gel polish completely and they charged me a fee when it was their fault for letting that happen to my nails in the first place. It was a waste of money and my time and they should not have charged me for something they did wrong. Will never be back. read more

Went in for the first time yesterday was referred to them by a friend. I am extremely unhappy with my nails they look so sloppy. Did not come out remotely how he promised. There is polish left all around my nails and hands. My fingers are itching really bad and are irritated. He also reshaped my nails without my permission. I have visited this salon about five times now and I have had consistently great results. Although I've had different technicians, each one has been kind and great at their job. I've had pedis and gel manis, all lovely! Their foot massage is wonderful and let's be honest that's 80% of the pedicure joy I also appreciated the thorough hand massage during my manicure. I was very impressed because last time I came in with four of my family members, we had called twenty minutes prior to ask for appointments and they had us come in right away. They had chairs ready and although two ladies had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes, that's totally reasonable. And the cherry on top, reasonable and fair prices! My current go to! read more

The salon is very clean and nicely organized, has a large variety in gel colors, and also has powdered glitter colors I have never even seen before! Nicole was very professional and fun to talk with while she made my nails beautiful again. No sooner did I leave, I already had a compliment on how pretty my nails were by the cashier at Target! I went today around 10:30am to get a new acrylic full set with gel nail polish. The price wasn't anything different from any other nail salon. I paid $42 (including tax) and left a $6 tip. My first impression of the place is how low-end it was. I have seen better, fancier salons. There was no wait for me to get my nails done, and I got out around 12:30. The process was longer than usual but the gentleman who did my nails was so specific and precise with the creation of the nails and the shape I wanted. He spoke great English and was very talkative. The one big issue I had is how they have so few gel nail polish colors. I had to settle with a color I am not too fond of. Overall, I rated this salon a 4/5. If you like a variety of gel nail polish colors then choose a different nail salon to go to. read more

Worst place I've ever been to get my nails done. I got to place at 12, they did my pedicure and made me get back in line to wait to wait for nails to be done. Waited for 3 more hours just to get a new set. The lady cut my fingers 3 times, I paid a ridiculous amount for an awful job. The end result came out horrible, the powder doesn't cover the whole nail, they aren't shaped good, and are all different lengths and sizes. The two of us went to get a pedicure on Sept 2nd in the middle of the afternoon. We were seated in a spa chair within a few minutes. The person who provided the service would not take time to listen to our requests for water temp and desired level of service. She kept pushing the 'deluxe' pedi '. When she finally was told with certainty that all I wanted was the basic procedure she hurried thru the treatment, did not perform complete procedure and broke the skin around two different toe nails using the clippers. She hurried my treatment, and did not offer to paint my nails. When I asked about applying a color she spoke under her breath and just waived me back to the waiting area. My partner desired the deluxe treatment. This same tech provided the service but did not listen to the desires of my partner. Again the procedure was rushed and incomplete. My partner did get her toe nails painted but the job was quick, sloppy and the quality of the paint was very poor/runny. Within an hour of leaving the spa her paint was bubbly, and smudging horribly. We stopped at Walgreens and picked up polish remover and supplies to remove that horrible paint job and painted each others toes at a shady spot at a local park nearby. NO - We are NOT going back - Please don't waste your time and money either. read more

I got a gel manicure on Monday, and my nails are already chipping (today is Thursday) . The lady rushed on the last part of my nails as soon as people started coming in. The gel was all up in my cuticle and there were spots that the topcoat gel missed. She also filed the sealing gel at the edge of my nails. Shape was awful. I would not recommend. read more

I went here to get my nails done with the dip powder, the kind they use on acrylic nails. She topped it off with the clear gel coat, which shouldn't be needed with the powder. The gel coat, which made it have that shiny, glossy finish, came completely off by the end of the day and my nails look terrible. Fortunately they weren't too expensive, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it based off of the quality of my nails. read more
