Overall, the hotel gives a bit of a 80's/90's vibe LOL but the location is great, right off the freeway and just a few blocks away from downtown Walnut Creek. If your getting back to your room late night, there is a 24-hr Taco Bell across the street lol. The rooms are on the small side but renovated. I was able to call ahead and check-in pretty early. If you need a place to stay, I would recommend it for the location and the rate. It was pretty reasonable for a weekend stay.

Valets are always on duty. Check in: Efficient check in, acknowledged status. No room upgrade though. Rooms (514 and 549): small but renovated with king bed and all the normal equipment including mini refrigerator. Bed: mediocre king bed Bathroom: cramped bathroom, shower only, horrible lighting Sleep quality: Horrible, we could clearly hear our neighbors' conversations. Neighbors (room 514) had sex so loud and repeatedly and then got drunk and loud that we had to move rooms. Neighbors (room 549) woke us up at 4:45 a.m. having loud sex. After loud sex, they joined a conference calls on speakerphone for an hour. We could hear everything. Simply the worst Marriott ever for between-room sound insulation. We could also hear road noise from the highway. Housekeeping: above average housekeeping Perks for status: Dismal. The lounge on the 6th floor was consistently trashed and not stocked. Breakfast was a joke and one of the worst I've seen in many years. Parking: valet parking only; the valets were good Misc: This hotel allows dogs. One of the elevators reeked of dog urine. Overall hotel cleanliness was below average.

After what happened, I can confidently say I will NEVER stay here again. My husband, our three kids, and I stayed for one night. We paid $35 for valet parking and trusted that our vehicle and belongings would be secure. The valet staff greeted us nicely when we arrived, so we had no reason to think anything was wrong. The next morning, after enjoying breakfast and checking out, we were waiting for our car. The moment I opened the door, I realized our entire vehicle had been ransacked. Multiple belongings were stolen, including something incredibly important my children's birth certificates and Social Security cards, which we had with us because we were traveling. We immediately notified the valet attendant and hotel staff. Unfortunately, they were absolutely no help. We were offered a refund of the $35 valet fee and given the number for the valet company's manager, Eric. Eric told us this had "never happened before" and said he would review the surveillance footage and get back to us. He never did. We filed a police report, and this is where things became even more concerning. The officer told us that the hotel manager had informed him that another vehicle had also been ransacked that same day. Yet when we reported what happened, nobody at the hotel mentioned that another vehicle had been broken into. What hurts the most is that we trusted this hotel and its valet service. We paid for the convenience and security of valet parking, only to leave with our vehicle ransacked. I understand that a hotel cannot prevent every crime, but I absolutely expect honesty, communication, and genuine assistance when something like this happens to a guest. Instead, we felt completely dismissed. We feel violated, disappointed, and completely let down. Stay and use the valet at your own risk. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this location or its valet service!

We were seated in the enclosed patio at the bistro, which created the perfect intimate atmosphere for our group. The prix fixe menu I selected was thoughtfully designed and worked beautifully for our employees, including those with food allergies and even our pickiest eaters. There was something for everyone, and it all just made sense. The week leading up to our dinner is always incredibly busy with multiple company events, so I'm constantly being pulled in different directions. I was worried my communication or role in the planning process might fall short, but Martini and Andre were absolute professionals. They knew exactly what they were doing and made the entire experience completely seamless. Our guests couldn't stop talking about our server, he was outstanding. The service was exceptional, and the food exceeded even our high expectations. This has officially become our forever annual event venue. I can't thank the entire team enough for their hospitality, attention to detail, and for making our company dinner such a memorable experience. We can't wait to come back next year!

I was treated unfairly makes me wonder was it my skin color…read more I am requesting assistance regarding my stay at Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa from June 26-29, 2026. I reserved and prepaid $977.28 through the AAA Travel website for a Premium Two King Beds room. My confirmation clearly states that I purchased a Premium Two King Beds room. Before traveling, I also called the hotel directly to verify my reservation, and I was assured everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room type was no longer available. Instead of the two king beds I had reserved and paid for, I was given a room with only one king bed and a rollaway bed. I was traveling with my elderly mother and my adult daughter. Because the rollaway bed was not suitable for my daughter, my mother had to sleep on the rollaway bed for our three-night stay. This was not the room I purchased, and it significantly affected our comfort during our trip. I immediately asked whether another room was available or whether the hotel could provide a discount or other accommodation. I was told the hotel was sold out and that nothing could be done. The staff was not empathetic and repeatedly stated that because I had booked through a third party, there was nothing they could do. After returning home, I contacted the hotel again. During that conversation, I was told that I had been "bumped" because I booked through a third party and that had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have honored my reservation. I find this unacceptable. My reservation was confirmed, paid in full, and verified directly with the hotel before my arrival. Guests should not receive inferior accommodations simply because they booked through an authorized travel partner such as AAA. I respectfully request: * A partial refund for failing to provide the room category I paid for. * A written explanation as to why my confirmed reservation was not honored. * An explanation of the hotel's policy regarding confirmed reservations made through AAA and other authorized travel agencies. I have already opened a case with AAA Travel and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.

The room was huge! It had a cute little kitchen setup with a dining table, a comfy corner couch in the living area, and two separate bedrooms, which made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel. One room had a queen bed, a good-sized closet with wired shelving, and a super spacious bathroom with the sink area outside the bathroom, always a win when you're trying to get ready without fighting over space. The second bedroom had a king bed, its own walk-in shower, and the same setup with the sink outside the bathroom and open to the room, which made it super easy to multitask (aka watch TV while doing my makeup). The space overall was clean, functional, and comfortable. But my biggest complaint? That awful showerhead. It was grimy, leaking, and had the weakest water pressure. Definitely a letdown in an otherwise great room.... especially when a good shower is one of my top hotel priorities. The bathroom had the potential to be a vibe, but the shower situation totally killed it.

We had an extended stay here for work. The big feature is that they allow pets -- both dogs and…read morecats to stay, which was a big plus for us! The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple of times we had a lot of clarifying questions and they never made us feel like we were annoying them. Even when we checked out, I double checked the pet fee after having paid and left already. They had accidentally overcharged me, as I had stayed for less time than the price I had paid. I called them up to inquire about it, and they were able to resolve the issue and refunded me the difference. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean for accommodating pets. I think this hotel seems to have a lot of smells from food that people bring it or of cleaning products. Even in our room, it seemed the room held on to smells for a long time, and despite having the air circulating or the window open, it was hard to get rid of the scents. It also seems other reviewers have mentioned some bedbug or other creepy crawly concerns, but we did not see any for the whole month we were there. We had a studio sort of room, so it was a large space that included the bed, a small living room with the couch, dining table, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a microwave that also can be an oven, an electric stove, and a nice sized refrigerator. They include the basic utensils for eating and cooking, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, pans, pots, colander. There is a coffee maker, as well. They provide you with dishwashing soap but it is not of great quality as it doesn't bubble. There is no sponge they provide to wash your dishes. They do have some dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher they also have in the unit. It seems they do not do room service unless you specifically request/schedule for it. It's probably because they have pets and they need you to have your pet out of the room when they service it. Parking is free, and they provide you with a parking pass to leave on your dashboard. They have a 24/7 gym with a few key equipment, including 2 ellipticals, 1 stationary bike, 1 non-functioning Peloton bike, 3 treadmills, bench for weights, back extension. They have wipes to clean the equipment, a water jug, and towels for your convenience. There is complimentary breakfast. It starts at 6:30 am on the weekdays, 7 am on the weekends. They have someone making custom ready-to-order omelets. They have the standard coffee and tea (coffee runs out pretty quickly in the morning since this is a busy hotel for working guets), scrambled eggs (one plain, one with veggies), sausage or bacon, potatoes, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breads. There is a bar with a happy hour as well, but they do not have a sit-down restaurant here. Fortunately, there are many restaurants close by in Downtown Pleasant Hill. Other amenities include meeting rooms, a pool, basketball court. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience at Hyatt House!

We thought it was a great deal for the two nights , Definitely in walnut creek you would not expect this type of place to be in business in this nice city. We stayed at this location a few years ago when it was motel 6 and it was decent, it has completely gone downhill, the cleanliness of it was beyond the point of dirty, maids are not sweeping, mopping cleaning counters and definitely not sanitizing the bathroom. For the price being $125 a night is not even close to being worth a cheap stay! We were so upset with the room we were given, that they let us move to another room on the opposite side of the hotel and if anything it was worse. Upon entry of the new room there were dead cockroaches on the exterior of the room and inside live ones. I hope you read this before you even think to book a stay here. After seeing the condition of the second room offered, I demanded my refund back and that nite we left aimlessly driving around the East bay at 11pm looking for a sanitary place to lay my child's head down. It was a traumatizing encounter! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. I reached out to Contra Costa county health department to report what we encountered and they said this was not their only complaint on this hotel , it was actually there 2nd complaint that week!! I hope they get this place shut down and fix these issues. Walnut Creek is a great beautiful city it is does not need a place like this in business in their city limits!!!!!
