Never ever will my husband and I go to this place again. Started with ordering "house made sangria"that came out of a bottle. Both ordered chicken parm. Red sauce had a strange wood fire taste to it. I could get past it but my husband couldn't. When he apologetically explained the bartender that he did not like the meal and ordered a burger we were told we would have to pay for the more expensive item. As I continued to work on my own chicken and got towards the middle of the piece, I realized my chicken was not cooked through. When the bartender finally came back and I showed him what I was looking at he said he would show the owner/chef. Bartender came back telling us that that the owner made 20 other dishes of chicken parm this night and that it looked cooked to him. At that point we had both completely lost our appetites. Asked for the bill. Tipped the bartenders and left. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Unacceptable! read more

We have eaten here twice once dine in and once take out. Food was good. The shrimp and scallop pasta and the bolognese pasta are delicious. Full of flavor. The seafood seemed fresh and good quality. The restaurant is awkwardly set up. The dining room on the left could use an update. The dining area is dingy and tacky. The bar area is nicer, it seems as though it is newer. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The prices are ridiculous for the portions you get, especially pasta dishes. I would give the food a 4 atmosphere 2 and 2 for prices. We ate here on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't disappointed. It sits inside a strip mall and you'd never know what a treat you've found unless you go inside! You can sit either on the pub side or restaurant side. We asked to be seated in the bar section and had a great table right next to the brick pizza oven. Since it was Friday night, our pizza night, it turned out perfect as we watched the chef come out and throw our pizza crust right next to us and then place it in the oven. We also had a Caesar salad, which was delicious and a perfect size to share. They had a number of entrees that sounded delicious including a swordfish special. They immediately brought a dish of hummus / olive oil with delicious bread to the table when we were seated. The service was great. The place was clean, including the restroom. I actually had a great experience here. My shrimp pasta was delicious. Sauce was great, shrimp was slightly dry but the size and amount on the entre made up for it . Their beef carpaccio special was amazing. It was thinly sliced and melted in my mouth. I will definitely go back. read more

I have gone to this restaurant several times and it was wonderful and delicious food. However, when I went tonight, the hostess and manager were rude - they sat us next to a large party and we asked to move because we didn't want to be that close to so many people. We ordered a caesar salad and there was basically no dressing on it. We had wait almost 10 minutes before someone came close to our table and we could ask for dressing. I ordered pasta which was good but my mother order the rack of lamb (a special) and it was very tough and had no flavor. She said it tasted liked it had been microwaved or boiled. When we told the server, she said it is usually good. When we got the bill, we were charged $42.95 for the lamb - ridiculous. When we questioned it, we were told we had asked about the price before ordering (which we had not!) and then after waiting almost 15 minutes, they took one glass of wine off the bill. The were rude and did not care that the food was not good. I won't be back. read more

I live actually pretty close to Spazios but have never been before.... Well technically thats not true, my fiance and I stopped here one night around 10-1030pm after a military ball to get some drinks maybe a small app, nothing fancy. We walked in to about 8-10 people at the bar, as we went to sit at the bar the bartender told us they were closed. Confusing as the people there had full drinks and did not look like they were leaving anytime soon. Anyways that was probably a year ago almost now so we decided to try dinner there again on a Sunday night and wow was it.....unfortunate and weird (not a good weird though). When you enter there is a small corner bar then through a doorway to the right is the full bar, to the left is a dining area. We asked for a table of four and the hostess (who looked at us like we were crazy when we asked for a table) said it was a twenty minute wait. Wouldn't have been a big deal if we didn't notice more than 4 open tables in the dining area and at least 2 open high tops in the bar area. We sat down at the corner bar to wait and have a drink...after a few minutes the bartender came over and said sorry I can't serve anyone over here and walked away. So we sat and waited and waited, about 20 minutes went by when the server came over with 4 menus in hand, thinking this was for us we started to stand up from the bar only to find out it was for the other group of 3 waiting as well. We were beyond confused as to what the hell was going on and were getting a little tired of waiting so we asked if we could take a high top in the bar area, the hostess (again looked at us as if we were crazy) said yes but she wanted to let the bartender know first. 5 minutes go by and the hostess comes back and says we can not take any of the open high top tables because the bar tender wouldn't be able to take care of us (my thought was literally "what trick TV show are we on?!"). We asked the Hostess how much longer again until we could at least get a table and her response was priceless - "um well there's a group in the back that's finishing up so as soon as they pay their bill and leave give the server like 10 minutes to clean up the table then you'll be seated." I don't work in the restaurant industry but isn't that how it works regardless? That response kind of put us over the edge so we asked a server nearby if we could sit at the small corner bar and she looked around and said yes I can take care of you. Took a little bit to get refills on drinks and took a long time for our food to come out. It was beyond messed up because the server was taking care of the dining room but also coming to the bar to take care of us, meanwhile the bartender was right there on the other side and could have easily taken care of us. Again not I don't work in restaurants at all but pretty sure helping out co workers makes it a little easier? The food wasn't anything great and by that I mean it was decent but not good enough to justify returning after that shit show we experienced. Figured because it seemed to be nicer that there would be a good wine and drink list but there was none. Bottom line - I only wish that when we tried to stop in almost a year ago we were a little earlier so we could have experienced what we saw last night so that we knew then not to ever come back. We will not be returning. Too many other choices so close to this place that it would be dumb to actually choose this restaurant over others. read more

Two friends and I came here for dinner this evening and it was underwhelming to say the least. The bruschetta appetizer was really good, it had figs, balsamic and arugula. We ordered pasta dishes, the chicken artichoke and the scallop pasta. All of pasta dishes were flavorless! My friend got the scallop pasta and she asked for a thicker spicy white sauce, it was thin, flavorless and not at all spicy. She also order the wood fire pizza with tomatoes and sweet peppers. The pizza was so soggy on the bottom and the tomato slices were so thick, that they just further weighed the pizza down. I would not come back and I do not recommend. The service was good. read more

Went there recently. Was surprised that there was a wait on a Tuesday night. Staff has been excellent on my previous trips there and did not disappoint despite being "in the weeds". Overall the food was a little off this night. I tried the pork tenderloin, which was not very tender. I almost asked for a steak knife just to cut it. It also should have been scored on the top to let the meat absorb more of the seasoning (which was tasty). The "grilled vegetables" that came with it were a mixed bag. The zucchini was delicious and perfectly seasoned. But for some reason the other part of the veggie combo was a spiral cut section of red onion that did not make sense. For such a small menu, I expected a little more in the execution department. The tiramisu dessert was bland and uninspiring. The total dining experience was OK. But there are much better local options, especially for the price. read more

We are regular customers at spazios and have been for many years and have never had a complaint. However last night we each ordered a Caesar salad with grilled salmon on top the waitress asked owner Michael how much to charge for this and we were charged $7.95 for a side Caesar and $20 for a 4 ounce piece of salmon, total $27.95 each. We spoke to the waitress who was lovely and inquired why the price was double compared to other restaurants in the area. The owner charged for an entire entree dinner of salmon. If this is the case that should communicated to the customer instead of getting the bill that you're charged for a $30 salad. This is called being taken advantage of customer. read more

Love it! They have my favorite chardonnay, La Crema, portions are huge, service is great, and food is delicious. Their antipasto is delicious - there was a quiche served with it that was amazing. Also their bartender Brian is awesome - he's very welcoming, gives great recommendations and is part of what we love about Spazio! Even when using a groupon the service was exceptional. I would never set foot in this restaurant AGAIN. Waited an hour and a half before dinner was served. Very small portion ,service was terrible. Not worth it. So expensive for what you get. All that said, I would rather go to the North End. read more

My one star is for the owner only. My wife and I are regulars and have been going almost weekly for about eight years. Have literally spent thousands there. Always pleased with the food, but more importantly the service from the bartender John. SUPERIOR service from him and the real reason we go. Consummate professional. We were there last week and the owner came to the bar and commented to another couple "he's an idiot." (Referring to his employee) We were stunned by his unprofessionalism and arrogance. Asking other locals, most concurred the owners arrogance is his downfall. Mr. Richardi, your employees are what make your business. Don't assume we (the regulars who are the backbone of your revenue) will always come back...we won't. There are so many dining options I could use (ever hear of Sintra?) so my advice would be to treat your employees and your loyal customers with a little respect. It's not just the right business thing to do, it's the human thing to do. read more

I live right down the street from here and I've eaten here a few times. I've had very good service, I've had terrible service, but the food has been consistantly fine. Not great, just ok. Food wise the meals are ok, no better or worse than any other local Italian restaurant, some food seemed over seasoned whilst others needed more. Due to a high concentration of locals service can be slow as servers and regulars catch up, however, on the other hand it's nice not to be rushed. ( they really need bus boys to make sure your drinks are well stocked though) Bread is terrible, always dry and tough and I'm not really fond of humus, warm bread and butter or a little marinara would be much better. The chicken parm I had was also dry and the sauce was a little tasteless. I give this place 3 stars as in the past I've been here and had the pork tenderloin which is fantastic as is the chicken under brick and the sirloin and strip steaks. Specials are always worth checking out, although the chicken special last night really was bland, and the stuffing had way too much sage in it, the mashed potato was lukewarm at best. This place has a nice buzz and a friendly feel, the pizza oven is a good center of attraction in the bar side and the pizza is incredible. Bar staff are friendly and efficient. read more

I just got finished eating here and the food is excellent (Mussels, Duck, and Veggie Flat Bread, Pumpkin cheese cake), the service was great, but the expediting in the kitchen could use some help, we waited about half an hour for our appetizer. The bolognese sauce with veal, beef and chicken was to die for, the chicken under a brick was delicious, the mushroom ravioli (daily special) was the best several in our group have ever eaten (and we are old). Went here for the first time on a Wednesday night and the bartenders John and Brian were very friendly and seem like a lot of customers who knew them by name. We both had delicious meals my wife had the Bolognese and I had the chicken masala.The food was delicious and enjoyed the conversation with the other Customers and the music that was being played in the background. We found a new place where we feel very comfortable with great food and very attentive staff and we will be back again. read more

Wish owner would read reviews on Tripadvisor! We went last Saturday and it was very crowded when we arrived. No problem we waited for a table in bar side a short wait. One waitress entire side who ran her butt off all night off. I checked my receipts when I got home no name just server 6. She was incredible!!! I ordered chicken Marsala which came as a large full breast not pounded thin and sautéed in a Marsala sauce as one would normally expect. Definitely not to my liking. My husband ordered pork tenderloin which is a speciality here. He asked for med rare got med med to med well. By the time we got our meals we had waited so long we just were done so we finished and left. Again I so applaud our poor waitress who ran her tail off I couldn't have done it!!! read more

The menu does not show the price from the chef's special, big mistake on my part for not asking.....very very pricey!! food was not great, service charge was included but waiter asked for an additional tip, his claim was that that service charge was for the restaurant and not for him, my bill came to $227 for 3 people. read more

I went for years ignoring this place, mostly because of the strip mall location. I totally judged a book by its cover. The service is fantastic, and the food is really great. The white bean hummus that they put out on the tables is addictive, and everything else I've tried so far has been great. Dinner for 3 on a very busy Saturday night (think they had a lot of Mother's Day action). Glad I put in reservations - we were brought right to our table with drink order taken and delivered very quickly. My 'cup' of soup was quite generous in size and very good - vegetable soup with kale and sausage. Entree of pork tenderloin was fantastic. There were 8 of us girls meeting at Spazios tonight for Dinner and Drinks . Kaylee our server was very informative about specials and answered any questions that we had.We started with appetizers of Antipasto,calamari, and fresh baked bread with Humus. A very Good Start ! Followed by our Dinners which we all loved. Apple stuffed Pork Cop , 5 of us got the Cod , Chicken Marsala, And Salmon were all delicious!! We were all very pleased and when asked if we wanted Dessert we only had enough room to share the Tiramisu . The atmosphere was very warm and inviting and even the music was perfect . For some reason I had raw zucchini on my plate!? My husband ordered veal cutlet, very dry and sauce was basically garlic and. Tastes like Canned tomato! Nice service with a smile, but the food is very overpriced. The main dishes consist of some good basics, but $24.95 for salmon, mashed potatoes and 4-5 pieces of asparagus seemed unduly pricey. Spazio's is fantastic. The chicken parm and bolognese are personal favorites. The taste is so fresh and delicious. We frequently get the calamari for an appetizer and it never disappoints though we have also enjoyed the carmelized onion flatbread pizza (though, keep this in mind - this app is very dry with no sauce). My real love for Spazios, though, is not for the hearty entrees, tasty Old Fashioneds, or nice and quiet atmosphere. Rather, the lemon pudding cake dessert is freaking amazing. I wish we served it as the cake at our wedding. It is incredible. read more
