My shower would not turn off this morning after I showered and I called M S Plumber to come take a look and that guy wanted to charge me 600 and make a hole in the wall to replace a Moen Catridge! (which if you watch the YouTube video, is not hard to replace and definitely do not require a hole in the wall) Anyway, in the evening my lovely fiancee found Spec Home Drain Services on Yelp and made an appointment with Joseph at 7.45pm. He then arrived on time, looked at the problem, took out the cartridge to make sure and explain how it is broken, went to the home depot by himself to pick up the replacement, came back, gave me the receipt and replaced the cartridge and voila, problem solved! The whole ordeal took about 2 hours and during the whole time he was very polite and friendly. His service also includes a 1 year warranty, Now i can sleep soundly at night. 2 weeks back on Friday evening we had water pipe leaking and the water was just flooding into the walkway and the road. I called many folks and nobody turned up that evening. I called Joseph because in 2017 he took care of a continuous leaking garage sink and I was impressed with his response and thoroughness of work. Last week I asked him to fix a dripping shower head which had a cartridge just replaced 2 years ago by another plumber. He was thorough in going beyond the cartridge and inspecting the whole shower control enclosure. He recommended a newer replacement setup that was a little more expensive but would be in better shape for the next 8-10 years. His service work charge is fair and reasonable. Joseph takes his time to do the job, but he is very patient, knowledgeable and answered all my questions well. Also, he took a lot of trouble in working late night hours to get the job done. I really appreciate that! My only negative comment about Joseph is that he failed to clean up completely after the job was done; and I had to do that myself. Joseph gave us excellent, timely and accurate service. After a power outage, we discovered that the water heater pilot wouldn't ignite the main burner. After Internetting a bit, we guessed thermocouple, and called out a plumber from another company. After a casual inspection lasting only 1 minute, he told us it would require a new pilot assembly - $350. I somehow didn't believe him. I called a few more plumbers and ended up talking to Joseph. He was available and immediately guessed thermocouple. He purchased the part in anticipation of his being correct, and arrived an hour later. That was indeed the problem. We've had a problem finding the source of a leak that's been an ongoing situation for awhile now. We've called in many different company's, but received no satisfactory results until we were fortunate enough to find Joseph. He did an amazing job not only finding the source of the problem (which required a lot of crawling around under the house) but also re-doing piping in the crawl space to insure we won't have similar issues in the future. This was the best plumbing service experience I've ever had. No one like to have the volcanic kitchen sink from hell but you know it happens and at the worst possible times. Had guests coming for a party and disposal wasn't working we tried everything we could think of but got no where quick. I got Joseph's number from a friend. Called and explained my situation and that I had around 50 people slated to show in a few hours. He was very kind and said he could be there within the hour. When he arrived he explained the problem lies beyond the disposal and it invoked cleaning out the clean out (where do they get these names?)
