I purchased a vehicle from this dealership on February 28, 2026, after being told it was "practically brand new." I made it clear I needed a reliable vehicle due to how much I drive, and at no point was I informed the vehicle's history was unknown or that it had prior damage. Shortly after purchase, the A/C stopped working during a road trip. When I took it to a Toyota dealership, I was informed the vehicle had previously been in a front-end accident--something that was never disclosed. I was also told the A/C system requires significant repairs, including replacement of major components. When I contacted the sales agent, Alan, I was told I "didn't ask for the Carfax" and was offered to split the repair cost. That response was unacceptable, especially given how the vehicle was represented. While one member of the service team was professional and helpful, the overall experience has been extremely disappointing. Based on what I've learned, I would not have purchased this vehicle had I been given accurate information. Very next day again the engine light was back on. Returned the vehicle numerous time but never was able to get it fixed. I believe they would just reset the code. Finally took it into BMW and they say its the catalytic converter of which there are 2. Cost of 1 converter is $4925. Half of the cars value. Beware of this dealership. read more

On July 31, 2023 took my 2008 Mazda CX7 to Specialties Automotive in Bountiful to fix the air conditioning, they charged me $314.93. However, 3 months later it was not working anymore. In early June 2024, I took the car to fix the air conditioning again and June 21, 2024 they charged me another $847.78. The air conditioning never worked. On early September 2024,, I took the car to fix the air conditioning and today 10/4/24 I went to pick up the car and the air conditioning is not working at all. Che, the service manager told me I had to pay another $131.98 and he told me he cannot find a way to fix it. I refused to pay and Che, the service manager, blocked my car and was only allowed to drive my car after I paid the $131.98. After finding a car I'd had my eyes on for a while, Id made up my mind. I live in a rural area so what I was looking at cars online and did quite a bit of leg work on this prior to flying in to drive the car home. Where to start... I bought a car from Boyd, and he seemed like a good guy to me at the time. I looked around the vehicle for a final time before driving it off the lot. it was clean, no leaks, not any body damage, and the interior was in good shape. After a couple of days, I decided to run it through a brushless wash. It washed off whatever white out or temp paint they'd put on there to hide so many dings, bumps and scratches. when I called Boyd to ask, he said sorry and he'd give me the number to a body shop. Maintenance- after telling them no, I didn't want a maintenance contract, Boyd talked me into one anyway, saying it would cover 2 oil changes a year for the 4 year duration. Boyd said it's a BMW so uses synthetic so it's at least $150 a pop. Now it's time to actually take in the car for an oil change and although he said it would be $150 coverage on the maintenance plan, he didn't include the upgrade on the car guard contract, so they will only cover $60 per oil change. My stomach is sick with how badly they took advantage of me, flat out lied In several areas. I was hoping to trust this smallish dealership. I now know where 'used car dealers' get their reputation. Now could they make it right, sure. 1- Reissue the maintenance contract with the upgrades Boyd promised. 2- Pay a portion of the body work needed. 3- Send a prepaid visa to fill up my tank as you promised you would when I was buying the car but forgot, then I needed to hit the road and didn't have time. No, they must've filled their own tank with what they promised me. Financing note- I'd applied for financing through my credit union, and when I let Boyd know at Specialties that I needed a purchase contract to get the financing started, Boyd flat out said no, he wouldn't send it over to America First. He made it crystal clear that the commission he'd get by doing the loan was more important than my experience working with them. I mean, come on. I went through the financing process, not them, and made their job easier, and they just took advantage. I should've walked so many times but didn't cause I kept going back to supporting the little guys. I'm not saying you should buy a car from them, but don't go with what they say, read all the fine print as you're going through the closing. Take notes. Plan on spending a couple of hours, and they will try to schmooze you. Better yet, just don't buy from them. read more

I purchased my 2016 Mercedes Benz from this dealership back in August of 2020. The experience I had working with Boyd was great and I loved the car I had purchased. Well a year and a half later a guy name Jared Thompson contacts me stating that he needed to retrieve my car because my finance company sent them a "notice of demand" letter because they failed to provide my valid DL with my paperwork. When I purchased the car I had just moved from California and I only had my CA identification card (which they accepted) and I was able to still drive off with the car. Boyd told me to get my temporary UT Drivers License asap which I did about a week or two later and provided him a copy of it. Well I guess they never submitted that to my finance company because a year later when I hit a financial hardship with my finance company I had filed a temporary "loan modification" request with my finance company as they were more than willing to help me out being that I was on temporary disability. I guess by me submitting this modification request it brought up the paperwork that the dealership submitted when I purchased the car back in Aug 2020 and they noticed that they did not provide my UT drivers license. So because of that the finance company automatically assumed it was ID fraud and demanded that the dealership pay my car off or (buy my car back) and completely undid the loan because of improper paperwork. Fast forward to Jan 18 2022 Jared contacted me stating that they had to cut a check to my finance company and pay the car off and now they owned my vehicle again. Mind you NO ONE from the dealership contacted me to say hey we received this letter etc etc do you have a your UT DL so we can provide this to the finance company as they are wanting us to pay off the loan because of some paperwork error on our behalf ... instead they cut the check out to the finance company and came after me for the car stating that they wanted to work with me and help me get financed with a different bank or else they would need to have the car repoed. I have NEVER in my life had anything like this happen to me so when I called to clarify with my finance company as to what was going on they pretty much said it was a "bad deal" with the dealership because of the ID they submitted and I needed to contact them for more info as the dealership already sent a check to pay the loan off. Well when I contacted Jared he seemed nice at first wanting to see when he can come pick up the car or when I can drop it off... I BS him and said I was not home as I was needing more time to find out legally what rights I had since this whole situation didn't seem right and had nothing to do with me. He continued to act sympathetic to me being put in such a situation and said I would be reimbursed for ALL the payment I have made while I had this car and he would help me get financed for another car if not the same car I already had. Well after telling him I was not home he texts me 5 min later saying he was outside of my apartments and sees the car under the carport? So I go downstairs and he continues to act like he is sympathetic to the whole situation and says he needs the keys for the car which I foolishly surrendered as I did not want a repo truck taking the car out of my apartment complex. Let me tell you once this guy got the car he became very nasty and unprofessional as I had more questions to ask once I received my reimbursement which was nothing close to what I was expecting. Instead of simply taking accountability for their mistake he decided to try and belittle me and my financial situation I was in! I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone who treats their customers like this! They're pretty good for the most part. My in-laws all really like them and have had great experiences so that tells me that they are usually a great option. My Wife had them change the oil in her Volvo and a few days later while looking for an oil leak we discovered that the drain plug was ready to fall off. Everyone makes mistakes and i'm sure it was a fluke this one time, but that could have been disastrous and cost us a fortune to repair. For that costly of a mistake, I have to give a low rating. My particular vehicle has been in and out of the shop a few times, some would not call that a great experience, but the service I've received has made up for the time without my vehicle. They have bent over backwards negotiating with the warranty company to ensure that I come out of pocket as little as possible. They saved me many thousands that was going to be paid to BMW Murray. BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a SUV that had a few issues that were to be repaired. We had some scheduling issues with their "busy" shop and were assured that the problems could be taken care of. After the 30 day in-house warranty had elapsed during our scheduling, they informed us not to worry and that the $3,200 dollar ELITE extended warranty they sold us would cover EVERYTHING. That was the furthest thing from the truth. The repairs were declined by the warranty scam company. After several attempts to address this with the dealership, they agreed to pay for half of a used part if we signed a waiver and promised not to litigate. It gets worse. Within a few thousand miles, the "new" tires on the car were totally destroyed due to rear alignment issues. The dealership then told us they do not do rear alignments. So why do they sell 4 wheel drive Mercedes if they can't and won't do the basic safety work? The life's of those in the car were in jeopardy due to their admitted negligence. That cost us another $1,200. Also within a few thousand miles the brakes and rotors needed replacement. That cost us $700 dollars. It makes us wonder if the brakes were even up to spec at the time of sale. We are wondering if this is even legal. The dealership sold us the "best" warranty they had and it turned out to be a total misrepresentation. We asked that the warranty be both pro rata refundable and transferable upon a sale. They assured us that it was ...that was the reason for such a high cost warranty! Secondly, this high cost warranty was supposed to have covered EVERYTHING but wearables like tires, brakes fluids etc. In fact, the small print basically says it is not transferable, not refundable in any way and won't cover costs over $3000 in costs, such as an engine, transmission etc. We trusted them and failed to do the basics such as read the small print. Now they can read ours... The Elite Warranty is based out of Springville and is a TOTAL SCAM. When I called Elite they laughted at me, said to read my contract and then hung up on me when I was asking questions. Due diligence indicates they are no less than a local towing company with the manners of repossession professionals similar to classless reality TV characters. Save yourself some misspent trust and money and AVOID DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP and their Towing buddies at ELITE in Springville, Utah. read more

The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and had no hesitation lining up three (Audi Q3, Landrover LR4 and BMW X5) vehicles for me to test drive (bonus points for not riding along- it's just awkward!) Ultimately, I decided I liked the Q3, but needed more room, I stalked their Facebook (great updates there) for a couple weeks for a Q5, with no luck and bought elsewhere- but have since recommended this place to potential buyers. Yes, I used to work for former U.S. Senator Jake Garn. He had a saying he used to quote often, "You are entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts." That is your imagination, excuse or rationalization for the fact that she had a blow-out and we were informed by the "manager of Costco" that there were 2 different sizes of tires on a all-wheel drive Volvo that is suppose to have all the same size tires. We were assured by your salesman that the tires were like new and "all good". Clearly, that proved not to be the case. I believe in Karma and what you put out comes back to you. Bought a car and within two days the car wouldn't start. Specialties Auto offered to have their mechanics look at it, but didn't provide for towing. They suggested to disconnect the battery. It worked, drove the car there, they couldn't duplicate the problem. After a few days the problem came back. Car randomly wouldn't start. I took it to the dealership that was able to duplicate the problem. The repair cost me over $1100 dollars. I suspect the problem was known to Specialties Automotive Group because the morning I got the car they also replaced the battery. I should have known better. I wouldn't trust buying a car there again. read more
