I hate that I am doing this, but I can't stay quiet about what just happened. I am absolutely disappointed with Specialty Pizza. My husband and I have been ordering from here for over a year and always had a great experience. I recently was diagnosed with a medical situation which requires me to avoid gluten and tomatoes. I have ordered their gluten free crust, which is a $3.50 up charge, in the past with the Alfredo sauce on both a regular cheese pizza and a specialty pizza (that originally comes with tomato sauce). I just tried ordering a cheese pizza on GF crust with Alfredo sauce and was told that because the option to sub the tomato sauce for Alfredo sauce is not in their computer system I would have to order one of the specialty pizzas that already offer the white sauce and remove the toppings that come on it (not that I would personally have to remove them, but remove them in the order)... so in other words, not only is there an up charge for the crust but I would have to pay an additional $6.50 for white sauce?! That is insane. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from specialty pizza in the future. read more

I'll start by saying I've not ordered pizza in a long time. I usually have to make it myself. I came home to a flyer on the door and about threw it in the trash until the word Vegan caught my eye. Long story short they have Vegan options for us animal lovers out there. Cheese was great! Pizza was great! They even delivered! Felt like I won the lottery. So happy to now have a place I can order from that can accommodate my life style. I added my Vegan ranch and Trader Joe's meatless meatballs to top it off! Couldn't have been better! This is why you should avoid the chain pizza places. The pizza here is fresh made in house and oh so delicious. Tons of toppings to choose from, we had their Super Veggie pizza and a pepperoni. Two medium pizzas for only about $20 including tax. Definitely use the specials that they have on their website and in the menus. So glad this place is less than 10 mins from our place. read more

not bad, but nothing special. I'm not sure if they are using a traditional pizza but the crust has no char to it and doesn't have that nice crispiness to it that I like my pizza to have. I went with a plain cheese pizza. They are using quality ingredients but the crust needs some work . There are at least 3 better pizza options within a mile of this location. This is by far my favorite pizza place. I am vegan and my husband is definitely not. Here we can both get amazing pizzas with super fresh ingredients. I love the broccoli on the veggie pizza. Just picked up my medium deluxe on a thin and crispy. Disappointed. When I placed my order I asked nicely to evenly distribute the toppings of my pizza. I opened up the box in front of the employee to see 2 slices did not have cheese on it. His reply was, " sometimes the cheese slides off upon cutting". Can't believe this place has been a business for 20 years and I've just now tried it! We got Carryout of a Medium Super Veggie pizza with Thin crust. Staff on the phone and at the pickup counter were super friendly. Only took 15 mins and they gave us freshly grated parmesan and crushed pepper to go - and I'm talking REAL grated parmesan, not that stuff you buy in a can from the store. When we were rung up, it was $2 cheaper than what the price was listed on the website, which was a nice surprise. The pizza smelled so good when we brought it to the car, it was hard not to try it right then and there, haha! The pizza was delicious! Everything tasted fresh, crust was nice and crispy, plenty of vegetables, and the pizza was satisfying, hearty, and filling for 2 people yet still light - not greasy and oily like other places. This is my favorite delivery pizza in the Altamonte/Longwood area. Has been for 10+ years, even though I occasionally try others for whatever reason (usually someone else's idea). Specialty uses none of the bad chemicals that many chains have in their crust and ingredients. Has all very fresh ingredients, tasty sauce, tasty crust. Personally I like the crispy thin crust best, which reduces the calories and carbs and theirs tastes great - much tastier than PH or Dominos crispy crust. The hand tossed crust is also very good. I love that they have GREEN olives as a topping option and fresh (not canned) mushrooms for toppings. Always prompt and nice delivery people. Can't beat it. read more

This place has good pizza but the late night staff is horrible. Always demanding you to pick up the pizza before they close, which is fine and I understand if it's 5 minutes until closing, but this time stated that they stopped delivering at 10pm when they close at 11pm. Then came back and apologized because she "just started working" there. I called in the order at 10:30pm. I'm in the process of tracking down the owner. Bad Central Florida Pizza: Take 1,163. If you have never had good pizza or real pizza and your benchmarks are Dominos and Little Ceasers you might find this pleasing in a Papa Johns kind of way, and that is a big might. Bland, cardboard crust is the Central Florida norm and this place doesn't dissapoint. FIrst of all 14 inches is not a large cheese pizza, it is a medium at any real italian pizzeria. Secondly, on a 14 inch pizza why would you leave two inches of flavorless crust? Is this away to save money on cheese and toppings? They didn't cut the slices properly so if you took a piece it butchered the one next to it. It was also flooded with overly sweet acidic sauce. I feel like I need to gargle. The only reason it got two stars was that they didn't totally skimp on the cheese. I guess if you think the tap water is good in these parts you will be pleased with this pizza, but if you have had pizza outside a 25 mile radius of Orlando I would venture to say if you tried Specialty Pizza Express you won't come back.
