Since my wife my diagnosed with celiac, 3 years ago, we are always looking for good gluten free alternatives for her. This was our first visit to Specialty Pizza. Their dough is very good. Unlike other places that use "frozen udis" dough,.... Specialty Pizza uses a much better, fresh, delicious dough. With a GF dough to start... you can make your pizza however you want. My order was ready sooner than they said it would be and the service was amazing! This one was a heartbreaker. I have past this place so many times and I wanted it to be amazing. They are all natural and have gluten free and cauliflower crust options as well at traditional. I called in my order in on a Friday night. 1 large cheese pizza and a chicken cesar salad. The pick up time was great for a Friday night, just 15 minutes. I made it over and the store was very cool. It looked clean and there were nice TVs with the menus options all over. The employees all had neat tie dye uniforms and everyone was super friendly. When I got home I split up the salad and grabbed a couple of slices. The salad was really good. The lettuce was fresh they were big slices of cheese on it and the chicken was partially shredded, very juicy and quote flavorful. I was happy with this. The pizza on the other hand was a major let down. The cheese and sauce were fine, but the crust was not good. They do also have wings so maybe in the future I will try those because I really wanted to love this spot, but I will not be back here for pizza. read more

UPDATE: After my initial review, I received a very professional letter from the owner actually explaining the customization process. This should have been politely explained by manager from the beginning. The owner was very polite and kind therefore, I have increase my review from 1 to 4 stars to reflect the letter he sent. Nice, Loyal Customers should be treated politely and I believe the owner values that. Pizza is satisfactory but attitude from Manager is extremely rude. He rushes you, makes you feel unimportant and is a detriment to the pizzeria. We have been ordering for our office several times a week for years but no more. We decided to give Specialty Pizza a try after seeing so many great reviews. The shop is small and is take out or delivery only. The girl working the counter was helpful. We ordered a thin crust white pizza and hand tossed cheese-both specialty pizzas. We also got a small order of their cinnamon rolls then hung out for 10 minutes while our pies baked. I liked the pizza and thought they were boh pretty good in their own ways. The cheese pizza was thick with cheese but kind of ordinary. I think it is the crust, it would have been nice if they did a little someting to it. Maybe some butter or herbs? I liked the thin crust white pizza better but it was oh so garlicky (and I like garlic). The cinnamon rolls were good- we'd asked for extra icing but their idea of extra wasn't my idea. My son didn't like where the cinnamon and sugar had crystallized under the rolls making a dark cinnamon crisp. Overall I liked the pizza but it was as great as I'd hoped. In fact, I think I may prefer Papa Murphy's. Still, I'm a fan and would order here again. 3 1/2 stars for Specialty Pizza Express. read more

First off, we were quoted a 30-45 minute delivery time, on a Friday night, and shocked that the time quoted aaa actually accurate, super fast delivery! The pizza was delicious, tasted super fresh, we got hand tossed bacon cheeseburger pizza and added mushrooms, it was fantastic, loaded with toppings! Added the Alfredo cheese bread and it as sOooo good! I typically don't like cheese bread because to me, it's like another piece of pizza but this was delicious and super cheesy! My husband had some for the garlic parm wings and said they were good. He could tell they were oven baked and had a nice smoke to them. Then we got the apple pie pizza for dessert, omg, loved it. My husband wasn't a huge fan of this, not really his thing but I did like it! It was sweet but not too sweet! Will def be ordering from them again soon! read more

We ordered a supposedly white pizza with chicken, broccoli and fresh basil and a caesar salad from this horrible restaurant. We placed the order at 7:04pm and the order didnt arrive until 7:48pm which was totally unacceptable. We complained to the driver and he apologized of course, which was to be expected and he gave us back $4 for the inconvenience. The pizza was cold and we did not ask for tomatoes but tomatoes was added. I later found out when speaking with a manager over the phone that tomatoes are standard on all white pizzas, I told him we were never informed by the awful girl on the phone, which she lacked any people skills and was not very nice. We then chose to accept a remake for the pizza, and was told we would recieve a full cash refund when the driver came back out. So the pizza arrived, the cheese was very very burnt and it was disgusting, so the driver they sent out was not the original driver and he said the original driver would be back with our refund....he showed up with the refund and was the greatest most kindest person through out the whole ordeal. We will never eat from this place ever again, the most disgusting food ever and horrible customer service!!!!! read more

This is the type of pizza I didn't mind eating when in high school and college. It's cheap and efficient. I however don't think the dough is the best. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but if you are looking for high quality this isn't it. The ingredients are always good and fresh. We never had any problems with flavor or the delivery. They are a well oiled machine to be honest with you; even when they are slammed they still get the order correct and we have never had them show up late. You can always tell good NY pizza when you put it in the frig over night then get up the next morning to grab a slice. As I said before, this dough isn't the best and it becomes hard and chewy after sitting in the frig. Also the cheese is skim-milk cheese and it doesn't retain the same texture when it is cold. So any reviewer who says this is NY pizza and then claims to be from NY is lying. This pizza isn't much different than Papa John's, Pizza Hut or Domino's, though I'll agree, this pizza is better than all three of those others combined. Overall, I can recommend this pizza if you have a birthday party of kids or if you are moving a buddy and want something quick and cheap. Definitely fills your stomach with out putting a big dent in your wallet. read more

I was a bit hesitant when I saw the reviews, but Specialty Pizza lives up to the reviews and more. I found Specialty Pizza on Yelp while in Fla on business and ordered the medium meat lovers pie and breadsticks. Both arrived within 30 minutes and they were HOT. The delivery guy also had red pepper and Parmesan packets for me, major plus! Both the pizza and breadsticks were awesome, and loved that they came with pizza sauce and garlic sauce. Absolutely loved the service and food! Will definitely order from them again! As an update: I ended up craving their pizza two days after I got it, and when I passed it on 434 (didn't know its location as I had it delivered the last time) I knew it was a divine sign and I had to stop. Carry out medium pizza was only 6.99, and i also ordered the breadsticks again. As I was waiting they told me the breadsticks weren't up to their standard, they refunded my money and gave me 6 breadsticks for free. I was craving NY Style pizza one night. I read all the reviews on here and decided to give them a shot. Basic cheese & pepperoni and some wings. I spoke to the person on the phone who was very informative and provided great customer service. They comped a soda for me and the order was placed. I've been a long time customer of Specialty Pizza but lately I feel the quality is lacking. The food is not prepared as well and shortcuts are taken. But this evening I ordered breadsticks and wings. One of the breadsticks was so thin there was nothing to it. The wings were delivered without sauce or ranch. When I called to inquire about the ranch and sauce I was greeted by a female voice (the same one who took my order) who was obviously in a hurry. She never apologized for the mistake said it would take 40 minutes to deliver sauce and ranch.
