We tried this pizza spot for Pizza Friday and got the Sicilian. I have not been inside at all because we did a pick up order and I was not the one to pick it up. We did order a Sicilian with pepperoni all over and mushrooms on half and asked for it to be cooked well done. This was a beautiful pizza. It was cooked exactly as we ordered and they even marked the halfway point for the mushrooms which ended up being on half slices because it is a 12 slice pie.... I guess it's not actually pie because it is a square, since it's the Sicilian. I think the sauce and the pepperoni and the cheese were all really good quality. It is a thicker pizza which is expected so I couldn't really eat more than one piece but that's an even better value because I was full and really happy. I'm excited to go back and either get a different pizza or eat at the restaurant and I will update my review when I do so. But it's going to be in the Pizza Friday rotation. read more

Food was actually really good the only thing we didn't like were the jalapeño poppers because they were clearly store bought frozen that they just cooked in like an air fryer or oven. Base the review on their pizza... anything else is store bought (i.e. mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, chicken tenders, ect). The pizza (sadly) has become mediocre at best. I would love for these guys, who claim to be "authentic", to serve what they call pizza anywhere in NY... not the City either... anywhere in NY. The original Riverwalk in Sanford (by the water) was great... then went extremely downhill and closed. The other Sanford location (the one I am reviewing) was a staple... then they decided to become some nonsense of a pizzeria with burgers and beer. I get the beer part, but either be one thing or the other. The pizza at the Sanford location is an abomination of what NY Style Pizza should be. The majority of the time it is undercooked. Dough is spongy. Not crisp at all. But they sure charge a premium. My only hope is that the owners read this and make changes. I don't like to complain just to complain, but the Pizza here is not worth 1/4 of what they charge. Go to Goodfellas. That's the real deal. read more

After a Little League game, we stopped on in with some friends for some mid-afternoon grub. Entering the restaurant, it's your average pizzeria feel- nothing really to write home about. My husband and I started off by sharing a Greek Salad- It was pretty good and a decent size for sharing. Everything looked and tasted fresh- no complaints there. One of my kids ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza with a side of banana peppers... I didn't taste the pizza, but he ate the whole thing, so I'm guessing it was good! The star of the show for me was the stromboli. I shared one with my older son and the hubby tackled one on his own. This was stuffed with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and of course cheese. It was a HOME RUN! I was headed to Sanford and I as hungry saw this place abs decided to give it a try. They have a 2 slice pizza with soda for $6.99. You cannot get that at many places that's a deal. I had two cheese slices. I'm sooooo picky about my pizza having lived in Manhattan so it takes a lot to impress me. Impress me they dug. The crust is perfect, crunchy crust, soft in the middle. They are for sure New York slices because you must fold the slice to eat it. Perfect a pint of sauce abs cheese and oil. While I waited on my pizza I use the restroom.many places that I have frequent lately the bathrooms have been above and beyond ridiculously disgusting. Their bathroom is immaculate to the point you coins eat off the floor. The pizza is almost always great and delicious. I've been there three times and one time it was burnt (carry out). The other two times it was dine-in. The restaurant itself is not clean. One of my favorite foods to eat is Pizza, I would say it's on my list of all-time greatest foods ever created. I have eaten at tons of pizza places in my lifetime and one of the best is Riverwalk Pizzeria located in the Downtown Sanford, Florida overlooking the water. My family and I used to live right off of first street in Historic Downtown Sanford Florida, and Riverwalk was just down the street from our house we lived in at the time. I would say that my family is a pizza loving kind of family who loves all different types of pizza like pepperoni pizza, Hawaiian Pizza, meat lovers pizza, white pizza, meatball pizza pretty much everything and Riverwalk had all these types of pizza. They are also know for their subs as well plus making what ever type of pizza your heart desires they aim to please. They have excellent customer service, plus when you place your order with them they make it up and get it out to delivery to you in a very timely manner. We go to riverwalk pizzeria on 46 in Sanford. They have the best happy hour in town from 2-7 daily! Casey at the bar gives us the best service, always attentive and very sweet. I bought a buffalo chicken slice of pizza and a plain slice and it cost $11.25. While the specialty slice was $5.99 "unreal " the plain was $5.25. The slices were average to small considering the price. I ask the the girl was that correct after taking quite some time fumbling with the register. So when I got home I look at their menu only to find out I should have been charged $3.50 for the plain slice and not $5.25. Don't think I'll be going there again. I Ordered from the website a few days ago, once you order you're given a email regarding the status of your order, it told me my pizza wouldn't be done for 45-55 minutes from when I ordered the pizza.
