When I called issues related with my AT&T wireless phone, I was offered U-verse internet service…read morefor $19.95/month with no installation fee and any other charges. I accepted the offer but I told the customer representative that I will be in vacation and the installation date was set to about after 35 days (09/16/2013). When I came back from the vacation, I called AT&T a day before installation (09/15/2013) and made sure nothing was wrong (confirmed the offer). About a week after installation, I got $262.78 U-verse bill including installation fees and $54.95 monthly charges. I called AT&T, they told me they do not have any offer like that anymore and they do not see it on my account. I invested 53 minutes on the phone call and got noting. I wanted to talk with manager and they told me the manager will call me in the same day but the manager did not call back. I wrote the same thing to AT&T escalation team. A person called me telling everything adjusted to what was told but I have not seen the correction online, yet. I will let you know when it is adjusted. 2/21/2015 This is my final review with 1 star increase in my rating: First off all, I have been using AT&T wireless more than 6 years and internet over 1 year. I moved my internet service from Time Warner to AT&T as AT&T offered better price. AT&T makes promotions on the phone and tells the conditions that apply. When I started using first promotion, I was told that there is no extra fee or installation fee. A month later, they came up with an about $240 bill. First, I called them and spend about 10 hours in total time with nothing changed. I started writing reviews about AT&T. Then, boom, AT&T calls me and corrects the bill with $0.5 higher than promised bill for every month. The difference was not much but acceptable. While this promotion was close to end, they increased bill $3 more for each month that I had to call and get credit for it. After a year when this promotion ends, I called them for a new promotion. I was told that the new promotion is good for one year and there is not termination fee. Now, it has been 6 months since new promotion applied. Booom! my bill goes up. I called them they told that your promotion was for 6 months and AT&T offered me another 6 month promotion with higher rate and termination fee. This is not cool at all. What AT&T tells on the phone should be recorded to keep as an evidence what they promised. AT&T scams us.

1-1/2 stars for AT&T is much too generous. AT&T defines the term "no customer service". Getting…read morehold of a human being is challenging and receiving a decent resolution is impossible. Never before have I experienced a company that offers less and less while charging more and more. And the quality....forget about it. One channel is too loud at 20 and another is too soft at 60. Honestly; if I could post a zero I would. Of course I'm speaking of Uverse. As for the internet, there are less expensive avenues available with faster speeds.

I asked one question, do you have internet service in my area because I have no lines running in my new rural area...... what's your full name? how many smart TVs are you expecting... ahem... so do you have service or not... well we have services in lots of cities yours included. I gave him my address... all other competitors within seconds were able to say yes or no to "do you have service at my location"... we literally had a shouting match to which I repeatedly asked, why don't you just answer the first question... some BS about I don't know yet I'm looking it up... over 5 minutes to see if my location had internet? Their website doesn't provide that like that others do.... there are also youtube links on other reasons why this company sucks. They used to be Quest and apparently have graduated to scam artists blackmailing customers into 2 year contracts... or else. couple that with degrading bandwidth.... pathetic... and a rep on the line yelling and not answering the question... train your people better, no need to yell at potential customers... very sorry company.

Then my last bill went up over $20. I refuse to pay these bandits more money. So I just cancelled them all together. Let me tell you cancelling took me 5 calls and about 2 hours later. Funny thing, when you just called that you you were having problems with internet or tv you got someone right away. When you call and say cancel service it's the wrong number Ill switch you over and get cut off. Calling for the 3rd time I was already pissed. I requested to speak to a manager which took 20 minutes. This was a number I was given the 2nd time for cancellation. He got on the line told me I had to contact another nu. I was furious. I went off. He switched me over to another line. Same recorded message. Push this number push that number then after another 20 minutes I got someone. This guy tried to talk me I to keeping the service. No chance buddy, customer service truly sucks when you are cancelling your account with them. All these commercials on how Spectrum is much better. Not!!!!!!!! All they see is the greenback. Don't really value customers as they claim. I don't see paying 100s of dollars for cable. You might. All I want is WIFI for Tubi Netflex and HULU. I don't have commercials with these. So keep you freaking cable.

It is the most liberating feeling- not to have to pay those people every month is worth waiting the extra week to watch shows on hulu or stream them through the computer. There are too many other options out there for you to settle for cable. My horrendous experiences with Time Warner have been on going for years. The final straw for me was when I cancelled my services. I turned in my modem to the store on Harden street in Columbia- brought someone with me to serve as a witness, received the receipt for the returned device, and was even told I had a $14 credit on my account (yay)! So of course I wasn't a bit surprised when I received a $150 bill for the "unreturned device". I spoke with someone from Time Warner who told me they would take care of it- but no of course not. It was then elevated to their collections agency where I had to file a dispute and write a letter- basically go through a ton of hoops to not pay this ridiculous charge. It is such a low-rent amateur company with a crap product and terrible customer service. I just got my $14 check yesterday (finally) and I'm taking it to happy hour where I will be cheersing to never again being subjected to Time Warner again :)
