Boy, a lot of things can happen in a matter of minutes! Hubbers and I decided to return the two DVR's we have at home since we rarely (if at all) use them anymore and we were paying for nothing. When he called, he was advised to go to this location. He asked if he needed to make an appointment and was told, "No need." We walked in and whomp... there's a wait. We signed in and took a seat and waited patiently. It gave us the opportunity to discuss options, etc... then we decided to cancel it altogether and just subscribe streaming services. We did the math and it would cut down our monthly payment down to a third, When we finally got called, Nicco was the one who helped us. When we told him our intentions and reasons behind it, he advised to call their retention department (I completely forgot they had that, thankful for the reminder, Nicco!) and see if they can give us a deal. He didn't try to sell us anything, there was no pressure, etc. He was incredibly patient with us. Great customer service. So we did what he advised and called the retention department and spoke to Nicole. She was very sweet and like Nicco, very patient. We explained our circumstances and reasons why we wanted to cancel and guess what she did: she worked her magic and brought down our bill to exactly what we wanted: down to a third! Beside the DVR's, our service remained the same. No changes. For a third of whatever we were paying. Needless to say, Hubbers and I are very happy with this. I wish they did surveys so I can compliment both of them. But this review will have to do for now.

You guys are a joke. A two hour wait to return old equipment? Do you want it back or not? There should be a return bucket, all the equipment pieces have serial numbers, why do I need to wait in line to give you your stuff back? I entered the queue at 11:25am. Had to return to work like a normal person before I could give the equipment back, then nearly two hours later my turn was up. I didn't even decide to do business with Spectrum. My landlord required I use them. This is what happens when a company gets so massive and arrogant they know they can abuse customers without consequences. So much for free market competition lol

Utility Tax paid to Spectrum cable is supposed to pay for utility pole maintenance, right?!

where is our Utility Tax going towards?! I've had cable TV since they 1981. the cable company shares the utility poles with the telephone & power utility companies , right? the cable companies have always trimmed the vegetation overgrowth. since Spectrum took over Time Warner. like I asked, where's all our Utility Tax going? cause it's not being spent where it's supposed to!!! how do I see an audit on spectrum's tax records. IRS needs to AUDIT SPECTRUM.

Just to show yelpers I was here

Nothing wrong with that, unless you go there for service where they basically have very little power to help if your issue is at the account level and you don't know they're not corporate unless they tell you. The staff are nice, but their youth betrays them and service was distracted. The manager didn't even seem interested in helping his own team and walked away while they asked him questions. I got a pre-paid SIM which was bought online and shipped to me. It wasn't working so I took it here because I was without any cell service which I needed for work. They told me they can't help at all with any prepaid accounts so they put me on their landline with AT&T to activate my phone number (unable to activate it online because it kept saying it "hit a snag" and to try again later - maybe that's why) and then they'd try to get it working. Unfortunately, once I was off the phone the person helping me went to lunch and never came out again so another associate told me to go to the corporate store on 182nd. At strike two, I was getting a little annoyed but I did as they asked. The awesome lady at that store was able to get me up and running. Turns out, prepaid is no longer supported at ANY southern CA store, corporate or otherwise, so DON'T buy it online. You'll have nothing but a headache trying to get it operating if it doesn't work out of the box. What's more, they had no record of my paying for the prepaid account so I had a balance. The account had turned into a post-pay unlimited account by itself and I owed them $75! I went ahead and paid and I got to keep my original number. I'm happy now, with much better coverage than I was getting with Verizon, but it was a long, patience-grating trip to get there!

After getting a few estimates from other businesses in the area, I contacted ACP and outlined the issue. They quoted me a low price and an hour for installation, so I brought it in immediately. yesterday. Rajeev called me after an hour or so to let me know that the part needed to be micro-soldered. I already knew this in advance. He then informed me that he didn't know how to do it, but there was "a guy upstairs above [him]" who could. After quoting me $200, I let him know there was another repair shop who had quoted me $150, and, after a brief consultation away from the phone, he offered to match their quote. I gave the go-ahead to fix it, with the understanding that it would take a couple of hours. This morning, I went to the shop to pick up the computer. He showed me how the port was repaired, and I saw that the charger indeed fit in the port. My laptop wouldn't start when I pressed the power button. At that moment, Rajeev informed me, "Your computer won't start up. You're going to have to re-install Windows via a USB flash drive." Confused, I asked him to plug in the charger so I could start it while it was charging. It initially booted up, then displayed a "Security Boot Fail" error and wouldn't start up any further. He refused to accept any responsibility for the problem and said, "It's YOUR laptop. It must have been already like this when you brought it in. I just fixed the power port like you said." I was frustrated - it's my work computer - I've got a backup, but it's not as fast and awesome as this one. I'm not ridiculously tech-savvy, and was VERY unhappy that I might lose all the purchased software and settings I still had downloaded on my computer. After I told him that I had no idea of how to even get Windows on a flash drive to install it, he suggested that he could do it, but he would charge me $150 to do so. "But then it's wiped clean! I have programs on there that I need! I don't want to start from scratch!" I balked. "If you would like to make sure all of that is restored, we can do it, but then it will cost another $100." I was irate. "My computer was fine before I brought it in! Running great! No problems!" "Well, you called me...you had a broken power port." "Yes, but the power port has nothing to do with the rest of the computer. You guys had to have done something that triggered this. It wasn't like this." "All we did was fix the power port. This is YOUR computer." "So, you'd charge me $250 to simply get my computer back and running in the condition it was in before I brought it to you? I technically just paid $150 to have a working power port on a NOW-BROKEN AND USELESS computer?" I told him it was akin to holding my computer for ransom - and remarked that it was like bringing a car in to get the brakes fixed, and then coming back to find the right side of it smashed in, but him telling me that the brakes are now working perfectly. Rajeev shrugged and shook his head. I paid the $150 by credit card, which came out in two separate transactions of $100 and $50. When I asked him why it was in two separate transactions, he said, "I forgot and put in $100." Interesting, as he had initially planned to charge me $200. My guess is that $50 goes to him and $100 goes to "the guy upstairs." I left, panicked, thinking that I now had a useless computer that I would need to replace and have everything re-installed on by Monday. Getting home, I looked up "Security Boot Fail" on Google, which gave me direct instructions and a YouTube video showing me how to press F2 at startup, enter the Boot submenu, and change a few settings. I restarted the computer, and, voila. ZERO PROBLEMS. BACK TO NORMAL. What ACR wanted to charge me $250 EXTRA DOLLARS FOR, I was able to do in a period of FIVE MINUTES. It was an easy fix, but unless you KNOW exactly what to do, you'd think your computer was scrap metal. If he wanted to provide good customer service, he could have walked me through it right there at the counter. Because I know that's exactly what they would have done if I had left my computer with them. I wonder how many people who wouldn't know where to look for answers have fallen prey to Rajeev's insane scam. Two stars, because the power port works great now. But BUYER BEWARE. They will try to upcharge you a ridiculous amount.
