Waited in line for hour and a half to pick up new equipment right at the opening hour. This was after being on a call with customer support the night before for 3 hours (2 hrs was just on hold) only to be told my equipment won't work in my new home. After I got new equipment and self installed I still needed to call back again( another hour) just to register it all. Took way to long, and my tech that came out a few days later (first apt available) to wire it onto another room missed their AM appointment and came a few hours later after I had to call to find out what was going on. This store by far is the worst. I cancelled my account with spectrum internet 15 months ago. My account had $0 balance when i closed it and my statement also shows the same thing. I also returned the internet modem in person at this location, after waiting for over an hour the employee took the modem and told me that i was all set. Fast forward, I found out that Spectrum has sent me to collections after getting my report.I called spectrum and asked them about this account that was closed 15 months ago and they told me that in their system it shows that my account is at $0 balance and it is in fact closed. So why is there a $59 charge that was sent to collections? They don't know!!! the same employee that took the equipment was complaining to me about his job and how he was actively looking for a better place!!! Also this store was very unorganized and the wait is inexcusable.will never use spectrum ever again! Shady business and unbothered employees who literally hate their jobs! I have been a customer for over 20years. I wanted to cancel my cable service but upgrade my WiFi capability. My modem had been malfunctioning for sometime so I brought it with me for a replacement. I was asked if I wanted 100 or 400 speed. I chose 400 and was given a new modem. I got home and connected it. After connecting I realized that it was SLOWER than what I previously had, 200. So I called them and they said I had been given a modern for 100 speed only. They said I would be required to go in again and return & replace it with a new one. On top of this I would be charged a $49.99 fee. I had seen while in the store that they take reservations. When I asked the top she knew nothing about it. I returned the following day to a long line 14 persons ahead of me. There were 5 reps but 4 were fidgeting at the stands-and then 4 of the 5 left to the back area. Me and my family have been with spectrum for a couple of years and the service is good but only when they want. The signal goes down often and when we call for assistance, they just tell us to restart our router. The price goes up with out notice and whenever we ask why, they say because the price just changes. We ask for them to notify when the price will raise but never do. Also their office is always so full with 2 workers only. I waited over an hour to talk to an employee. They have good service but their employees are super slow and seem like they don't care to get through everyone. Also their kiosk is out of order. How convenient. read more

Would strongly advise against buying phones through Spectrum as they will not unlock them and allow you to switch to another company before putting you a huge amount of wasted time. Out of three iphones, about 6 weeks and over a dozen hours (probably closer to 20) put into this, we have two phones now unlocked and I'm thinking the third will never be. In this process I went into the store here for help and they were not knowledgeable or helpful in moving this situation forward in any way. Total waste of time. In to get functional cable equipment. Was offered a phone plan and the gentleman said it was the same unlimited plan I had with Verizon, just cheaper. NO. The data is limited. The gentleman also charged my credit card after saying he was only getting it for the auto billing. NO. I was charged for the first month's service and a transfer fee of $10. This was not disclosed. And, I did not receive a receipt for either of the charges as prescribed by law. The transfer fee was removed. Spectrum is there to sell a subscription to their cable.or their cell phones or both.It is not truly 5G even though you may pay for the upgraded service. We had 3 cable boxes installed. We could never get any cable channelsNot even ABC, NBC, or CBS. The cable boxes we upgraded to were filthy one even had dog hair stuffed into the connections. Our router radically decreased the output and. Our computer and cell phones began to use an unusual amount of data. If you return anything to the spectrum store , GET A RECEIPT! or You will be charged for the equipment when you return or exchange it, and will have no proof that you returned it to the UPS Store that's who they use. (That's even though UPS gives you a receipt) Read all the YELP's that will help you if you have signed with Spectrum. It's more expensive than Frontier. Frontier has very poor customer service that's why we decided to change; that was a.poor decision. We've changed back but we had to change our home phone number. Whoever owns your phone, owns your cable service. Do research before you sign a contract. It may save you a lot of grief .we are now being charged for a cable box we never received. SWITCH NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!!! My wife and I have been loyal TWC/Spectrum customers for 22 years! I recently called bc our Spectrum promotion was expiring soon and was told my monthly service charges would be increasing to $172/month not including taxes and Fees. We have basic cable and internet (no phone). When I asked if there were any promotions they can put me back on I was told to call back on 11/8/17 when my promo was officially over. So here we go today. I called twice and spoke to two different customer solutions specialist. The first told me all he could do is knock $5 off my monthly service charge! I couldn't believe my ears, so I hung up and called back to speak to a different customer solutions specialist. To be fair, she was very courteous and seemed willing to help. After 45 minutes of trying to put together "A Preferred Customer Package" she came back and offered me a bundle at $164/month not including taxes and fees. Wow a whopping $8 savings! She further stated that their were no other promotions available that I qualified for and when I asked about the new customer promos she told me they didn't apply. So in a nut shell, after 22 years of loyal service I'm offered a whopping $8 savings off my bill! Luckily I contacted Frontier a few days back and was offered a new customer promo for $124/month plus tax for 12 months and that's with all the same channels, internet speed and 12 months of free Amazon prime. Here's the kicker, after the 12 months expire, they can offer you ANY promo that they have going on at that time! Meaning you will not be stuck at the new pricing like Spectrum has. In fact call there customer service number and there's actually a prompt for expiring promotions. Since people living in the Westminster area only have two choices (Spectrum or Frontier) save your money dump Spectrum and go with the next best thing!!!!!! read more

I am moving and transferring service to my new address, so I am not cancelling. Here is my experience this time. The phone representative said to return the hardware that I am not using. He put notes on my account. I go to the local store and waste an hour of BS. The in store guy made a multitude of excuses why I could not return it today. Your account will be cancelled, the transfer will be deleted, blah blah blah. He wastes more time by going to the back to speak the manager and returns 15 minutes later with I can't do anything because.... Bottomline, it is all about money. Place is easy to find, lots of parking near a Target; location is clean & has big open space w/ good seating & free WiFi, also Open 7 days a week (reason for 1 of 2 stars), & container full of jolly rancher candies that my kids loved. Went in on a Sunday, I'm a brand new customer, had no other option bcuz of new complex we moved into. NO greeting, NO introduction of who he is or his name- Asian guy, and he kept making me feel like I was asking the most stupidest questions, admitted he didn't know the answers to my questions (reason for 2 of 2 stars) but had no resolutions or other options given, just handed me a over filled bag, I asked if there was a handout with instructions of how to set up everything, he handed me a 1page handout that didn't even help, but he did mention to YouTube whatever I needed regarding how to set up- it's all on YouTube, and included-with a bothersome attitude, and said, "oh did U want me to look up the customer service number for you or you got it already right???" Wth! Don't ask me, just do it - it would b nice since I am a brand new customer, There was no Thank U or have a nice day, just handed me a bag overflowing with 4 cable boxes & remote controls & wires galore & said "everything is in the bag including Ur receipt." Smh, sorry for inconveniencing U at work! I didn't have my confirmation number, and I told the guy I didn't have it with me, then he told me to "get in line like everybody else." Guy was a large type dick. We had no business dealing with customers. The man who would eventually help me with great. That clown could take a lesson from the other guy who was very good. I tried to return my modem equipment to a Spectrum store where they had a 3 hour wait. I was told I should take the equipment to a UPS store and mail it to them. Which I did. But because it was then past the billing cycle they are trying to charge me another months rent in the equipment. The equipment was shut off on Jan 3rd. It was received at Spectrum in Jan 15th. The billing cycle started on Jan 11. And they are now sending me bills telling them I owe them $104 for the month of January. I've tried to talk with them, they won't fix this. There was a lot of people in line, but it didn't take too long til it was our turn. I had to come to the store to exchange another router as I had switched to another plan. The guy who took care of us said that we just needed to plug in the new router and didn't have to change wifi password or anything. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Once I got home, we plugged the router in, but nothing happened. My husband and I called customer service separately. We wasted 2 hours or more combined due to the incompetence of customer service. It was a joke! Customer service talking in circle about the #s on the router and box in order to set up the wifi, and nothing worked. They don't even know what they're talking about. Couldn't find the #s they asked for. It was absolutely frustrating. Finally, the second lady we talked to gave up trying to help and transferred us to tech support. Steven was able to set it up within 5 min! Life saver! Why couldn't they have done that sooner??? If I had known that they had a tech department, I would have told customer service to transfer me immediately to tech support instead of wasting 2 hours of my time. So anyone who needs help with their internet or other tech issues, ask to be transferred to tech support instead of wasting your precious time. Good luck! read more

Spectrum continues with Time Warner's high prices and horrible tech support. I have multiple email accounts from multiple sources all going through Outlook. The Roadrunner socal.rr.com accounts get hacked regularly sending out illegal phishing and virus propagating emails as me. These are not being sent from my computer but from their server. None of my other email accounts has ever been violated. I had to explain the issue to them repeatedly for them to understand. They keep telling me to change my password and security questions. I keep telling them I have done that repeatedly and it makes no difference. They just keep talking in circles and refuse to consider a possibility of a security breach on their end. The only other possible cause would be an insider selling this information. read more

Only one person who seemed to know what he was doing while everyone else constantly asking him questions which slowed down the progress. Don't come here. If I could give no stars I would. This store is a joke. No one is remotely helpful. They all stand around and just want you to use the kiosk. The kiosk doesn't give change so I needed help at a register. I waited for 30 minutes and watched as the staff laughed at a belligerent man inside the store. He screamed and cussed. I was so scared I sent my son to be safe in the car while I waited. Even when I expressed that I was feeling unsafe the employees refused to help. Even when I got to the register and they called my name, they still refused to help. Ridiculous and embarrassing. I shouldn't ever feel like this when trying to pay a simple bill. The technician was suppose to be here an hour and a half ago. I finally called spectrum after they didn't show up an hour ago, and what do you know... If you do not already have the cable in your home, then expect this from the installation process with Spectrum 1) They will make you jump through unnecessary hoops 2) They will lie to you. They sent an installer on Thursday. The installer said there is no cable; he will call the construction team. I spent an hour walking him around the house; he did nothing except to say, in effect, where is the cable? They knew that I didn't have cable currently. The construction team shows up Friday. When they called they said they'd be there by 9 am since they needed to finish by sundown. They showed up at 1pm during a business meeting. The guy leans on his shovel, says: We need to dig through the street (90 days to get the permit); We have to tear large holes in your driveway. They are sent away.. Then another installer shows up Saturday. Apparently, no one at Spectrum tells him not to come. He tells me that the construction guy lied because he didn't want to do the work. WHAT!!!!! Really, those were his words. I sent him away to tell Spectrum to come to me with a plan to install the service or to simply cancel it outright. First, installation is their job, not mine. I cannot understand why I am having to sort through different messages for their staff. They should do a single review of the work and should tell the customer of the result.
