I have gone to Speed Lube since 2007 and they have always been gracious and thankful for the business. I came in today after being treated horribly at Big O. They welcomed me, changed the oil as requested and matched the synthetic oil the dealership used because we are doing an oil consumption test on the car. They are extremely efficient (always have been) and so polite and grateful for the business. They understand what true customer service means and it is evident in their actions. You don't even have to leave your car. One of the other reviewers complained that the staff did not explain the bill, and it seems that the business has taken that comment to heart, because the gentlemen who took care of me today made a point of going over everything. Since I was in the pinole area before 7pm, I took it to this place. they showed me how concord jiffy lube put the filter in wrong and that's why it leaked. i have been coming to Speed Lube for years. I always had a very great experience. However, today I was very concerned. The gentleman who attended me, Hector, kept falling asleep as he worked on my car! Not only was he slow, but as he vacuumed the leaves from my car i noticed he paused. I looked under my hood and noticed he had is eyes shut. After he filled my break fluids, I noticed him pause again, with one forearm resting on my car...i looked again and he was asleep! Then he was about to let me go without changed my wipers so I had to remind him I paid for full service. I was so concerned that I didn't get the proper service that I parked my car and checked the oil. Fortunately, it was fine. I hope next time I go either he's more alert or he's gone. I have a regular mechanic that works on my car, but he's too far just for a oil change. This place is a few minutes from my home and only takes ten minutes or less. I recently took a new vehicle to them and it took a little longer as they put the vehicle in their system for future visits. They keep your history on file if you should ever need a detailed print out of all your visits. A basic oil change is about $29 or $30 including tax. They do offer an up-sell of a $37 oil change that includes a few more services, but the $30 oil change is plenty good. The guys are nice and are fast at their job. The guys at Midas across the street are jerks, stick to this place. read more

Easy to find location / the 17 point full service is $40 / 7point service (regular) is $34 (six $ difference).prices not including parts such as air filter and etc. Went with 2 cars ahead of us and was in and out within 15 mins. This place is fantastic. Fast, friendly service at a decent price for a quickie oil change. I accidentally waited until the last minute to get an oil change before our Thanksgiving trip, which will put 1000 miles on our minivan. I had my twin 3-year olds for the day too because it's Saturday. This really saved me, being able to stay in the car with them and get it done fast, because I have soooo much more to do today. Went in for a oil change and I was curious to know if the guy who was servicing my car went to school for changing oil or had training. So I asked the guy and to no surprise! He said no! He said he got 3 days of watching other people do it and in the 4th day they let him work on cars! WTH? And he said they only pay minimum wage! No wonder these guys look like they don't care! You pull right in and you dont even have to get out of your ride. The staff ask you what you need and its done in a timely matter. Fast service! Went to sneak in an oil change between appointments for my 2005 Chrysler town and country. Arrived at 8:30am, to find both service bays occupied and one vehicle waiting. There looked to be about 6 people on staff. I was the second vehicle waiting in line. I entered the service bay by 8:40am, and they completed a full service for $35 in less than 10 minutes. The technicians will show you the condition of your motor oil and transmission fluid to confirm that you are satisfied with their inspection. It doesn't look like their full service package includes a coolant check/top off. read more
