I have had SpeedConnect for about a year now living in Rimrock/Camp Verde Az. area being on the "unlimited plan", and also being in a quasi rural area albeit beautiful I have grown accustom to periodic outages, always trying to tolerate them with high desert mountain grace. To date this company has never adjusted a bill for any outages and always asked for full payment of any bill, it has never offered or created communications on repair times when off line for me that I can find, and on two occasions denied its outages ever happened at all, only when I pressed the point once being miffed did the company finally admitted to "issues beyond their control". For a communications/data company their bedside manner so far really sucks, the lack of informed honest communication is stark, akin to a space vacuum that will kill all cognitive patience. When you call them you are told that there is no time line for repair? In fact that time line is referenced on the phone by recording as "indefinite"? When I called billing, I was told the bill and the amounts on it when the system was back "on line" operationally would not be automatically adjusted, I would be required to call back to ask for any credit, and that currently the bill needs to be paid to which I have agreed temporarily. That call was pleasant and professional. Technical support has no real help as well and reaching out to them for a timeline was mired by an awkward conversational smoke screen with a intelligent young and somewhat pleasant lady that was truly impressive, her ability to correct me on three points of their operations quickly offered but could not offer any real help for any even vague timeline, They have now been off line for more than a week. Exploring their website offers a zero sum in communications I need, as does the news letters except for the usual "we are great" capitalist propaganda, this accompanied by those paid smiling satisfied faces plastered all over any site. If this was a complicated upgrade it could/ would be tolerable, that requested asked for wait time o.k. relying on real honest communications from time to time really appreciated. It could be an understandable ask by any company in this rapidly changing internet cut throat world with bad actors always trying to ruin your business. This same situation which I am in currently in also presented itself and in this exact way with another defunct local service provider of the past, that was named CommSPEED in my area. (I was a customer 10 years) about the time when the SpeedConnect / CommSPEED merger of 2014, occurred... Now of course a distant memory to many here. For me the echo from that remembered past is as equally offensive a debacle regarding that bygone company CommSPEED and experienced again in kind, for me, it reverberates again among these red rock canyons here in Arizona accompanied by stoic corporate impersonal silence. It's Tuesday, they say they're open M-F and I'm well within their ET business hours - but guess what!- the office is closed, apparently all day. No option to leave a message or anything. Let me start off by saying the tech in my town is very friendly and helpful. As for the service, it's not what was promised. I was told the 4g tower in Black Canyon City was to be installed back in September of 2017. I was also told my ping would reside around 60. So far it has not dropped below 120. Internet goes down at least two times a week. Sometimes for half the day. The traffic at night spikes my latency to 300+. This is horrible as my favorite hobby is gaming. The 70$ a month I pay for this service seems hardly worth it. If something doesn't change I'll be forced to get a new ISP. Sorry I couldn't say anything more positive. Absolutely the worst ISP I've ever had. Was a customer for several years because due to my rural location it was my only option other than satellite. Last month I was able to cancel my service (always very slow and unreliable -- and ineffective tech support) because a new provider in my area, sivadnet.com, became available. Speedconnect my very well be the worst Internet service around. I suffered through nearly a year of their slow to nothing service. It's dialup speed and totally unreliable. I had to unplug my modem several times a day to reset it. They cut way back on tech support hours making it worthless when you really need them. They had me in a two year contract that now they are hounding me to pay a large early termination fee even though the service was absolute crap and not what was promised. I'm not paying them another dime. I'm sure I'll have to fight to undo the ding to my credit because of them but I'd rather do that then pay them money they don't deserve. They switched gears in the middle of my contract. Instead of improving the service as promised to LTE they went to satellite at twice the cost I was paying. I said no but they still want an early disconnect fee, FUCK them! I'm using Mile High Networks now and so far they're pretty good considering I live in a remote area of Chino Valley and don't have any other good choices. read more

I am a SpeedConnect customer only because they bought out Commspeed and at the moment nothing else is available in my area. I tried recently to contact customer support with a problem and although I left repeated messages they never contacted me in return. Then they emailed me that my account was overdue for payment. I sent them written proof of payment from my bank and asked repeatedly for a reply that they received it and, again, they never contacted me in return. They are often off-line, sometimes for one or two days, but they will not credit you for those lost days. They also monitor your emails, and they will not send or forward your outgoing emails if they object to what you are sending (such as a joke or story or cartoon) because they find it offensive. Their reason for that is stated as, "...it's a violation of policy". I strongly recommend using ANY other company if you have a choice! read more

Like the majority of SpeedConnect customers and former customers, I am ranking this business the lowest possible score. Went through days with their technicians diagnosing interrupted service. First it was my router which I was responsible to replace at almost $300. That didn't resolve. Then it was their modem which they couldn't get a technician out for 7 Days. Unacceptable! I ended up canceling my service and went with a local Sedona provider. Just got a bill for $150 for canceling service early only to have the customer care rep argue with me - almost yelling at me. Very rude billing department. Their answer to their frequently out service is to upgrade which is rediculous when we have the most expensive, unlimited seevice they have. For the second month in a row the reason given for my bill being so much higher is due to over usage in a previous month that I was not charged for at the time. So much for their billing department! My internet usage is pretty much consistent from one month to the next. I may watch a movie or two but nothing to warrant such a increase in my bill. We were dealt with their poor service for a few years prior to an upstart competitor coming in. Most people in town jumped ship to the new company. SpeedConnect advertised great speeds, but what you get is 3Mbps at beast, and around 1Mbps between 4pm and 9pm when everyone is trying to stream videos. The service would go out for an hour or two a few times per week, and would be out for a couple days to more than a week every 3-6 months. Customer support goes home at 4pm, so hope you're home before then to check if you'll have internet for the evening. They sent emails to us a couple times a year saying "faster service coming soon", or "4G LTE coming soon to your area", since 2014. When we left in 2019, they had not improved speed at all in 5 years. read more

Speedconnect merged with our original Internet service provider, Commspeed, with whom we had been customers for quite a number of years. I have to say, the connectivity was deplorable, slow, and often interrupted. Speedconnect has no weekend technical support staff working, so if the service went out on a weekend, we would have to wait until they returned to work on Monday morning before it was restored. Who ever heard of an ISP company that keeps banker's hours? And, office hours are according to Eastern time, even though we are in the western USA. Wait times when calling were always long holds, and it was a 50/50 chance whether the person who eventually answered calls could actually remedy the problem. Finally, and thankfully, a truly professional company with state-of-the-art equipment began offering ISP service in our area, so we were able to break free of Speedconnect. Speedconnect tries to gouge departing customers with fees as they terminate service by declaring that notice of cancelled service must be a minimum of 30 days, which we gave, and then this company imposed an "early termination fee" of $150, even though we had been a customer for years! One star on this review is far too generous for this company. They have the worst service, the rudest employees, and a nonexistent standard for customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I plan to file a formal complaint with whatever government agency now regulates ISP's. read more

After 10 years of being a customer, I just received a email bill that went - without notice - from $39.95 per month to $326.95.This is just wrong on every possible level, and I wonder if this move is in fact even legal. All I can say is that for anyone else who is unilaterally 'switched' to another plan, that you (like me) file a complaint with the Attorney General for the State of Arizona - call toll free 1-800-352-8431. I would also suggest that you consider escalating your complaint to the Federal Communications Commission - call toll free 1-888-225-5322. Do Not Sign Up with Speed Connect. I live in Flagstaff and have had Speed Connect Internet for approximately 1 year. They advertise Up to 15 mbs but don't tell you initially what speed you'll receive. The best I ever received was 5 mbs but it was typically 3 mbs. Tech support finally said 5 mbs was the best I could expect. And the more customers using the service at the time, the slower the speed. I cancelled after a year of extremely slow, frustrating internet and was charged $150 early cancellation fee. Now I am with Blue Span which is $10 a month cheaper, guarantees 10 mbs and is unaffected by the number of customers online. Please take my advice and Do Not sign up with Speed Connect! read more

I was with this Company since it was Compspeed this past year the service was terrible, week ends without service, tech support is in Michigan and they tried many times over the months to reconnect me to the tower which is on Mingus Mountain. SpeedConnect is a company which is acquiring internet services companies around the country. SpeedConnect recently acquired an internet service company in Sedona Arizona called ESedona. I have been a customer of ESedona for many years and was mostly satisfied. However since SpeedConnect bought ESedona, the service quality decreased substantially. SpeedConnect's mail server certificate expires each month. If SpeedConnect has not renewed their certificate for their mail server, you cannot access your email. Between ESedona and SpeedConnect, I have had 5 instances where I was unable to access my email due to the internet service provider's negligence in renewing their mail server certificate. You would think that after this happened once or twice, they would solve their problem. No, it happened to me 5 times. When I called technical support, SpeedConnect had no idea what I had to do to access my email. I have searched online to figure out how to manually delete an old expired certificate from my computer's key chain so that I could access my email with SpeedConnect's new mail server certificate. SpeedConnect had no idea how to do this. Since SpeedConnect bought ESedona, the bandwidth dropped massively. The last two weekends was the worst internet experience I have ever had. I was able to access virtually no website. A website could take 5 minutes to load if it loaded at all. I have accessed CNET.com to test the internet speed and with SpeedConnect, I had a reading of 1.6MB/second and less which is pitiful. I don't download movies or stream television. I don't use massive amounts of bandwidth. People who use massive amounts of bandwidth should pay more for the service. This internet service has a long way to go to upgrade their service and infrastructure to reach an acceptable standard. read more

Previously known as Commspeed this internet provider uses a cell phone data type internet. Whats nice about it is its available in aread cable and dsl cant provide service. I love the service, while it isnt super fast like cable is I can still stream tv on multiple devices (ps4) and game/surf internet on other devices (phone + tablet) sll at the same time with no buffering. So 5 stars to Speedconnect from me! read more
