I've been putting off an oil change for a long time, and even though the COVID19 crisis is occurring I thought I'd check to see if SpeeDee-Midas was still open. I was pleased to find they are, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The workers were very professional and kind, explaining that their waiting room is closed due to COVID (I appreciate the extra steps they are taking to minimize risk while remaining open), so I was instructed to wait in my car. All in all a pleasant experience. They even gave me a coupon for next time. I'm always happy to support businesses that are having to stay open amidst a pandemic. read more

Hello, On Saturday sept 23, I went to this location to have an oil change. Well, due to the time it would take and my schedule I couldn't do the oil change. So, I asked the gentlemen who was helping me were the open the next day. He said no were closed I said ok I will come back on Monday. So, I returned on Monday to do the oil change. I pull up only to be helped by a different person and this guy was something else. So he jotted down my info took a look under my hood and came back stating it would be 89.99 for the oil change since I have a new car. I said that's weird because the guy on Saturday said it would be 59.99 plus tax. So then he walked off and came back with an attitude. I said what's the issue and he said you have to get the 89.99 oil. Then he mumbled under is breath and said a few curse words. Just so happen the guy who was there on Saturday was there today. He called him over and he said yes I remember her and I that's the price that I quoted. Well, the guy got mad and said a few curse words. I then got out of my car to speak with " owner or manger" and this guy jumps on defense of his worker. I then stated that I will take my money elsewhere and told the guy that he needs to work on his customer service skills. By the way I had my headset on the whole time and the person that I was on the phone with heard everything. The owner decided to write my license plate down and I told him you don't have to worry I would not ever come here again. I wasn't rude. I only wanted to understand why the price changed and I couldn't get any information in regards to that matter. read more

I had a bad experience with them last time I went for an oil change. I was the first one who arrived there before they opened at 8am. There are 2 lanes for oil change, I picked the rightmost, about 5 minutes later, another car came and occupied the next lane on my left, when they rolled up the doors, an attendant went to the car on my left first, few minutes later another guy came to me and ask me to backup behind that car on the left, I told the guy why should I in fact I was the first one to arrived here, he looked at me and murmured something. I used to have my oil changed there on a regular basis. I was waiting in line for an oil change. I was being completely ignored for a good 10 minutes. I asked an employee there how long I would have to wait. He became surly and was cursing at me under his breath. When my turn came up I asked another employee to work on my car. The first employee was over near my car anyway. Somehow, he messed with my battery cable. The next day my battery was dead. Coincidence? I don't think so. I will never go there again. read more

Have had oil changes done here about 4-5 times over the years and have been satisfied with the service and value. I recently brought my SUV in due to a slow leak in one of my tires. Showed up at my appointment time and was serviced right away. It took about twenty minutes to remove a screw embedded in the tire, plug it and refill with air. Cost was $30. This is the kind of place that confirms you can't trust anyone but yourself with your car!!! Had the Xterras front/rear brakes done 2 years ago. Full brake job that costed about $550 at the time. Everything seems cool during the 2 years. I go to change front pads yesterday and I found the front passanger caliper had been twisted clockwise before reinstallation. This left the brake line looking like a pretzel!!! Also found that the upper caliper nut on the pivot had been stripped!!! Never, never, never again will i take any vehicle to this place that's probably got technicians certified with a Cracker Jack Box certificate!!!! Poor customer service and even worse brake work. The receptionist is pushy and talks down to you. The car was brought in for squeeling brakes. After paying over $400 after 2 weeks the brakes started making noise again. The car has been taken back three times, the last time we spoke to the owner who said the car could be fixed for another $200 dollars. How about fixing it the first time when I spent over $400. Local mechanic looked at brakes and fixed for $100 and said the brake pads were super cheap junk. read more

Just had my car checked in with their FREE BRAKE INSPECTION. Am impressed with the level of honesty and curtesy these proffesionals have. I dont know much about cars and they could've said anything about my brakes and I would've beleived them, but instead; they told me that a minor brake adjustment ($25) is needed and the brakes are fine otherwise. This doesnt happens everyday, so am a bit surprized and happy to see some humanity left in mankind. They even gived me a ride home while my car was being worked at, which is very helpful. RUN!!! RUN, RUN FAR AWAY, because as far as I'm concerned, this place has THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of any auto repair shop in the Bay Area and I only wish there was a way I could leave even less than one star!!!!! Here's my experience: In order not to have to wait in line, I made an appointment to have the alternator replaced on my classic '93 Volvo 940 wagon and even showed up a little early. After repositioned my car in front of an open bay, per an attendant's instructions, I got out and stood by my car waiting for someone to help me. But, I stood there and stood there and stood there and finally, after sitting down on my front bumper, I heard the mechanic who was working on a car in the bay next to mine say something over his shoulder, but I wasn't even sure he was talking to me because he hadn't bothered to turn around to face me or anything. So, after asking him if he was speaking to me, he replied that he was and reiterated what he said which was, "You're mechanic will be with you pretty soon...he went to lunch." I said, "He what? I made an appointment for 1:30!!!" "Yeah, replied the mechanic, and he'll help you as soon as he gets back." So, I went into the office to discuss this with the guy who sets up the appointments, etc., and after explaining to him the situation, he replied with, "Well, yeah we got a little backed up, so it's like, you know, when you go to the dentist or have a doctor's appointment, sometimes you have to wait a while. Anyway, he'll be back soon." I'm thinking, gee I've never had that happen with my doctor or dentist, but then, since I had no other choice, sat down to wait. After my mechanic got back and finally started working on my car...which was like a good 25 min. later...he comes in and says the alternator for that car isn't available anywhere in town and we're going to have to order it", which would have meant me having to come back. However, I'd already researched this and was able to show him on my iPhone an alternator at a local Auto Zone store that was available for curb side pickup. I was then told that they didn't have any account with that store, but did with the other Auto Zone in another part of town, but that the part wasn't available at that store. When I then asked if someone could simply pick up the part from the store that did have it, the mechanic acted like I'd just asked him to kill his mother or something and replied dramatically with, "I'm not going run around picking up parts...I don't do that kind of stuff!" Right about then the manager guy walked in again and started in again about the doctors and dentists and when I finally replied with, "The entire reason that I'd made an appointment in the first place was so that I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT and, I'm sorry, but I've never had the experience of making an appointment with one of those professionals and, upon arrival, finding out that my doctor has...JUST GONE TO LUNCH!!! So then, because, this person knew he'd didn't really have a leg to stand on anymore, simply told me that "We have the right to refuse service and you're going to have to leave now" So, need I say more??? Other than if you want to be treated like a second class citizen, you know, like these people are doing you a favor by just showing up, most definitely take you car to this shop. Otherwise, RUN, RUN, FAR AWAY to pretty much any other auto mechanic shop you can find and don't look back, because this shop has nothing but LOSER AMATEURS!!!! read more

First off, I went to oil changers 3000 or whatever down the street and the guy didn't even want to attempt to try and open my hood (I have a dent in it) so I was frazzled and drove down and saw this place. The guy was so freaking nice (he said it was his 5th day working there) like the nicest man in the world lol and with a little elbow grease he got it open and changed my oil in what seemed like 10 minutes, just enough time for me to chop it up with the friendly receptionist and to drink a cup of coffee. I didn't even get to open my magazine and it was all finished. I couldn't believe that he pretty much fixed my car a bit and now it is easy to open and close my hood :D I can definitely say coming here made my day and they went above and beyond!! Thank you!! This has always been my favorite (even though not the cheapest) place to come for oil changes. They are usually fast and are very thorough.

Seriously FAST! I hate wasting time, so this place made me so happy! I bet I wasn't there 25 minutes for my oil change. Just drive up, get in line, and get out speedy! They do a LOT for $40. I paid $17 more for the synthetic oil, but I still thought it was a good price for oil and filter change when they get you out so fast. They checked all the fluids and tire pressure and even washed my windows and vacuumed my floors! I have a fleet vehicle and let me say I used to take it into a Midas in Dublin, when I lived there. I received excellent service. This Midas location made me wait in my hot car until one of the guys was able to help me. They then allowed me to pull into a bay and wait forever for a simple oil change. I must say the guys in the garage were very professional, however, the woman behind the counter was just rude. There was a young mother getting her car serviced and needed to change her child. She asked the woman at the front desk for the restroom. The woman replied "we're not set up with changing facilities". So should she allow her child to go unchanged because you don't want to change your trash? I verified my info about 4 times with this woman and was happy to get out of there. Again I really hope they change the front desk person, the mechanics deserve for their skills to shine. read more

Went in for an oil change here and was very disappointed when I was being charged out. I received a $10 off coupon for an oil change in the mail from them and it was not honored because I brought my own oil. The lady at the front said it was because I had already received a discount on my service which was not correct, I paid the price that is charged to people who bring their own oil. I didn't realize this location considered that a discounted service. Anyway, I replaced my air filters under their advisement along with my oil change so they could have honored my little coupon but whatever. Wow! After being a repeat customer since 2016, I am done with these guys! Completely rude. They have a guy with a shaved head who has control issues. When I got there I queued up in the shorter of the two lines and he told me to move to the other line. Another technician went to my car, took my information then asked me to get into the line I was told not to be in. That rude technician then came over and said "I told you to get in the other line..." I told him that I was asked to get into the shorter line. So, I went back. Then when I was in the changing station, the same rude technician told me to put on my mask. I did not have one but said I would close my window. That was not good enough and he said he would not provide the service, but the way he told me to put on my mask felt like he was commanding me. It felt like a control issue. He poked his head in the office door and a manager came out and asked me to leave. I will not be going back. This was a terrible way to treat a customer. read more

Other than one time when they were quite busy and backed up with cars, and they told me it would be about an hour if I wanted to wait and I decided to come back at a less busy time. I feel like the service can be better I was trying to use my $5 coupon on yelp on Thursday when I was paying an the woman behind the counter told me she's never heard of yelp coupons being used at Midas but when I got my tire on Friday the guy that goes up before me asked the guy behind the counter if you can use the same coupon an the guy let him so I'm not understanding why I couldn't use mines to save some money, that's not right I should go back an get something free since they seem to not know what's going on. And I wanted to get my brakes and rotors changed priced at $500+?! Horrible customer service. Because I wasn't willing to use synthetic oil, he wouldn't do the service. Recommended by most places is synthetic blend. But owners manual and no one else has had any issues using conventional oil. My coworker went the day before and said he had same issue. But he talked to the manager and the manager corrected the sales person. My coworker also mention the sales person had an attitude. I believe in costumer service and know what you are doing. I will not be going back to speedee oil change. If it wasn't a company truck, I would change the oil myself. One of the easiest vehicle services you can perform. read more
