    Wet carnitas burrito
    Amy M.

Went and brought a friend with me since she had never been here before... she got a chicken quesadilla.... Which I didn't take a picture of, but she stated that it wasn't spicy and that she enjoyed it. I got the chile relleno and tamale combo plate with a side of homemade corn tortillas.... I could just eat the tortillas with the delicious mild salsa. Staff are friendly. I do think I was charged extra for a drink but I didn't notice till I got home later, since there was 3 drinks charged and we only had 1 Jamaica and one can of Pepsi. Place is small for setting area. With a couple tables out front with umbrellas. My friend stated that she would be bringing her husband for him to try out next time they were in the Reno area

Very long wait on a Saturday night at 5:30pm despite being called "Speedy Burrito", waited ~20 min for takeout. Restaurant was pretty busy, so allocate more time if you're visiting on weekends. There are indoor seatings if you want to dine in. Burrito was HUGE but they didn't wrap it properly, so it fell apart when we took it home. They have option to make burrito XL, and they do increase amount of protein. Lots of options. Taste similar to taco trucks, but would recommend taco trucks across the street over this place if you're in a rush.

Stopped in for a burrito dinner tonight, delicious. Had the regular size pork carnitas burrito and it was a meal & a half, all for around ten bucks. What a deal! Burrito was stuffed with tons of great tasting ingredients and they don't skimp on meat. Salsa bar is the icing on the cake (burrito)! Definitely will be back to try some of their other options.

Without a doubt, the best Mexican cuisine I have ever eaten and I've lived in Mexico. Unassuming from the outside, bordering on dumpy, but once inside you can just smell the deliciousness. At the counter, I ordered a la carte and chose a chicken tamale in a verde sauce and their 6" carne asada taco with grilled onions and cilantro. The presentation was perfect. Total cost of meal prior to tip was under $8. Why has it taken me so long to find this place?

Did a pickup order for a ground beef burrito (added guacamole, which costs more but it's worth it). The burrito was one of the best I've had. It wasn't dry, it wasn't lacking anything and everything tasted as it should. It wasn't as warm as I'd like, but that's not the restaurant's fault....i ordered it before I left work and got held up leaving work and then hit a lot of traffic, so that's the reason, but despite that it tasted great! Will definitely be going back and trying their other dishes

First time here and it was good. Great options including breakfast items. I ordered the California burrito. Closest thing I've had in a while to the ones I've had in SoCal. Flavor was delicious. Staff were great and friendly. The interior was nice, but definitely tight in terms of seating. I can imagine around lunch it must get super busy and crowded. There is an outdoor patio with some tables. So on nice days it would be great to eat outside. For sure going to go back to try other items on their menu.

Great burrito and a great place to go for the whole family. Everything about this place is great even the service and atmosphere.

Love these burritos more and more every time I come here. The irony of Speedy Burritos is they aren't known to be very speedy, it is typical for your order to take 15-20 minutes regardless if ordered in person or online through the website, but the thing is no one cares because of how amazing the food is and the portions given. The staff is always awesome and always very friendly as well. I ordered a carne asada burrito for lunch to celebrate National Burrito Day and it was thicker than my arm and weighed about a pound packed full. All the ingredients are so fresh, delicious, and are paired so well. They are very reasonably priced in this day and age as the burrito and Coke came in at about $15 and given how big the burritos are they could honestly charge more and get away with it. Don't forget to stop by the salsa bar to get your sauces. They are all made fresh regularly and are delicious, my favorite is grabbing some extra jalapenos and pairing them with the green sauce. They have cups with lids for to go orders if you need.

They have outside tables for when the weather warms up!

This was our first time at Speedy Burritos. Overall 4.5! We came in on a Saturday for lunch. I love the casualness of the place! Can't believe we've never discovered it before. Thanks to Yelp, we found it. They have a great menu with lots of choices. I ordered the griddled taco combo plate of one chicken taco and one beef taco. Both had great flavors, along with the beans and rice. (I'm wondering if they have ground beef tacos as those are my favorite. I forgot to ask when I ordered the beef taco and I got a shredded one. I'll check next time.) My hubby ordered a chicken burrito. It was huge, full of great ingredients and flavor and he loved it. The prices are very reasonable too! Service was friendly and prompt. We saw lots of people getting to go orders as well. The inside is small but cozy. They may need to check on the cleaning tables more often when it's busy as people come and go. Will be back again!

We're still asking ourselves how it's possible we had not ever been to this spot before. We've lived here for 37 years!! But what a great find! Love the wet chicken burrito! Super tasty and savory and juicy stewed chicken. Took the recommendation of the girl at the register and got mixed red and green sauce...perfect spicy level and so delicious. Service was very nice and the atmosphere is a little nicer than "hole-in-the-wall". My wife had griddled tacos - chicken was good, beef was shredded and a little bland. Rice and beans were fantastic! We'll be back for sure!

A quick and cheap place to eat! The veggie burrito is huge and had a ton in it. Usually veggie burritos that I get tend to be really dry, but this one was nice and juicy! There's a decent amount of seats inside, but there were also tons of people inside waiting for takeout orders.

A couple Reno-based folks commented that they didn't even know this place existed. And judging by the number of reviews, I guess the secret is out. Our group was seated in the back outside patio, which allowed lots of room to chat and move around. Our dinner was served buffet style, and because of some food restrictions, only cheese enchiladas, fajitas, rice, and a nice vegetable dish were available. Beer and Margaritas were extra. I thought it was all quite good, and with really friendly and helpful service. I'd gladly come back and give the rest of their menu a better individual workout.

Ordered the masterpiece…read more Chili relleno was rather bland. There was no seasoning and the outside fell off of the chili while the cheese inside fell out of the chili. So maybe a 5/10. The enchilada sauce was again rather bland though creamy. Likely a 6/10. Just did not appeared to be seasoned in any way. The taco was a 5/10. I liked how they achieved the crunchy corn tortilla, but again it was very bland. The rice was soggy and flavorless. The refried beans had some cheese . But once again, no seasoning of any kind. The flan was pretty well made, though they didn't bother giving me the whipped cream. Our waitress was hostile to us and we ended up having to go up to the register to pay at the end after 1.75 hours. I had ordered the flan after somebody else ordered and it had come out. I wanted to see what it looked like before deciding. The waitress looked at me like "really" like why did I not order it earlier. When I asked for silverware after getting it she just about snapped. She hadn't cleaned up the extra silverware on the table as is normally expected so she grabbed it and slammed it by me like she was losing it. The air of the place kind of gave off a toxicity like nobody wanted to be there, everyone was miserable, and the customers were treated as annoyances that needed to get out. The food came across as the kitchen having lost all passion for cooking and doing the absolute bare minimum. Felt like I was at a restaurant from kitchen nightmares and Gordon Ramsay was going to walk in at any second. I had terrible gas and pain after getting home even 5 hours later so I am pretty sure the chili relleno had gluten, though that's my fault. We ended up here because there were not many decent options open at 3:30 pm. It was a place nobody really wanted to go to and I do not imagine that we will ever find ourselves here ever again. Rather not feel like our waitress is about to attack us and the people at the register look at us like go away.

I was glad that I did finally drop in. Located in a little strip mall on Valley Road, it's an unassuming place from the outside. The inside is small, but comfortable and it felt very "homey". When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was the smell of delicious food wafting through the air. The tastes did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly by a personable young man that brought us water. The owner then brought us our drinks...a margarita for my dining companion and a Mandarin Jarritos for me. My sip of the margarita tasted amazing! Great balance and flavor. We also received a basket of chips and salsa. You could tell that they were made fresh to order. The chips were crispy and hot. The salsa was outstanding...fresh cilantro...balanced combination of flavors with a nice, subtle kick of spiciness at the back end. Not too spicy...just right. I usually have to ask for something hotter...not in this case. The food was amazing! My dining companion ordered the Chile Relleno plate and I got the Molcajete. The prices are outstanding and the amount of food? Huge plates! My Molcajete was sizzling hot and overflowing with chicken, beef, shrimp, nopales and ground beef mixed with veggies. A large plate of refried beans and spanish rice also accompanied this presentation. Fresh, hot, delicious corn tortillas rounded out each of our orders. We were also given a couple of squeeze bottles of sauces...green and red...to add to our meals if we wanted. Freshly made and the bottles were presented in a plastic tub filled with ice to keep them cold. Great addition to the already amazing food! There's also a nice selection of Mexican hot sauces on the table for you to choose from. We both took to-go boxes...so much food! Mine lasted for 2 more meals! I plan to return on a regular basis...this is now one of my favorite local places for great Mexican food. As always, I suggest that you visit to see what YOU think...
