I have a maintenance agreement with a company to come and service my AC and Furnace once a year…read more Although it was new, since i paid for the service I thought I would have them come and take a look,do maintenance if need. I wasn't expecting to have any problems. Again since it was new. Was I ever surprised!! Here is the findings found by multiple companies: Not: Mr Anderson requested to come and fix (patch up the problems) I told him I have NO faith in his ability to fix these issues that he should have taken care in the first place. I need a refund or compensated for the work required to fix the problem. Here are their findings. I had 2 companies come out. Durastar furnace from 2023 single stage 90% efficient, 6 months old. The furnace is not mechanically fastened to the return ductwork or the supply Plenum, foil tape was used to close the gap on the supply. The return was completely left 3 inches separated, and it's pulling return air mostly from the basement. The furnace is about 8 inches from the water heater. No supply air was connected from the outside only the vent was installed. Humidifier has no drain attached to it. The drain hose is simply hanging on top of the furnace. The flue pipe had tape and not an actual 4 inch cap installed. The line voltage supply for the furnace has no electrical caps on them. They just wired them together and use electrical tape. The ground wire is not attached either. This is not to code and it's also not safe. Mrs. Kemp informed me that she also had the air conditioner installed. after going to the condenser and looking at the installation, I noticed the Evaporator coil was not replaced. The original coil had R-22 Freon in it. The new refrigerant has R-410A it is not recommended to use an old evaporator coil from a different refrigerant with the new refrigerant. The Arma flex was not replaced on the suction line. Doing so causes acidity build up because of the mixture of the oils. At this point the compressor and refrigeration system is compromised and should be replaced. The furnace is sitting straight on the ground with cardboard underneath. There's a plate missing on the bottom of the furnace and there are no furnace feet supplied with this installation.
