SO, so good - esp for steam table food, which is often crappy. and fresh-made, direct from the tandor to the table naan was among the best I've ever had. and cheap. and the guy working (i believe the owner) was super nice. all-around win - absurdly good for what you might expect from fontana. read more

I was so happy to find Indian food in Fontana! I had no idea this restaurant existed. I had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Only con was it was later in the evening and the rice had dried out a bit. Chicken tikka masala was great and paired nicely with the yummy garlic naan. read more

I came here for lunch and luckily we beat the Kaiser Employee rush! I ordered the combo 1 with the tikka Masala, garlic nann, and rice. I also ordered the samosa and mango lassi. Overall the food was tasty but the service was a little slow despite being the first few to order. read more

We were driving by and noticed the restaurant, so our family stopped there for dinner. The staff was very nice, the place was clean, the shelves were well stocked and organized. The restaurant portion was also very clean. The food looked fresh. We ordered food to go; goat curry, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala with rice and naan. We took the food home, ate it, and it was absolutely delicious!!! Because of the freshness of the food, the excellent service and friendly staff, we will definitely be back. Good luck to the owners. There are moments when your day is just in a whirlwind and you are hoping something good will just happen already. Today, that was my experience. I needed something to just end this day on a good note and I found it. I was driving out of the shopping center and saw this little place. I love Indian food so I could only imagine how delighted id be to taste those savory flavors so commonly used in their dishes, this place did not disappoint. I must agree I only tried, thus far, chicken Marsala with white rice and garlic nan. Perfection. I could not stop eating it! They were even nice enough to give me a small cup of Mango lasi. That's one of my favorite drinks when ever I go out and eat Indian cuisine. It was a tad bit better than I'm familiar with and not as dense but nonetheless tasty. I'm looking forward to returning and try all items, even their desserts ! read more

Then the incredibly friendly staff member recommended Indian drinks, Maaza Lichi and Guava juice. Food spot/ market. The food is good there i had the pleasure of trying curry for the first time at this spot and it was great I even had the chance to look around and buy a little pint of ice cream that was a weird but had light savory flavor (rose buds to be exact) I would recommend this spot to anyone curious if trying curry or other types of Indian cuisine. read more

Update #2: Combo 2 with Chicken Marsala and lamb curry as the 2 sides, plus garlic na'an bread was amazing. Update #3: Had to drop this down from 5 stars to 3. Not sure what's been going on lately over the past months but the service is going downhill. 3 times I've had to ask to add more meat to my meal. I've seen them on occasional spoon literally 2 pieces of meat then fill the rest with sauce. I used to get 7 pieces of meat back in the day. This kind of service isn't going to get customers to come back. Don't be afraid to ask for more meat in your meal. read more

Love it! Fresh Indian fast food. I had the lamb and the peas with paneer. It all was wonderful. The naan here is especially good with garlic and onions. At last, an indian store near my home. Boyfriend lives in this city so I decided to give it a try as there is nothing but depressing Mexican food all over Fontana. Walked in to the spice jar noticing the small take out area on the side. Was skeptical On trying this place so I asked for a free sample which they delightfully provided for me. The chicken tikka masala sauce is very creamy, if you like it more thick I wouldnt recommend coming here. The veggie side I got with the potatoes peas and carrots was very scrumptious, spicy, and perfectly cooked. I don't know why people are bitching about the price or serving size, I thought it was just perfect. I'm currently eating for two and I still had leftovers to eat later that night . I spent about the same cost next-door getting that disgusting Chinese food for my boyfriend. Overall this place is really good if you're looking for some tasty Indian food in the area. The staff is incredibly nice with great customer service . The reason I give three stars is because I believe this place does have more potential to make it more fresh and restaurant quality. I like to go for the lunch buffet, (11:00-3:00) that's when they have the largest selection readily available, usually consisting of basmati rice, pakoras, vegetarian sides; lentils, chickpeas, curry's, paneer, potatoes, bell peppers, cauliflower, eggplant, okra. Non vegetarian sides; chicken tika, chicken curry, goat. Fresh made naans, paranthas and aloo tika. Side salads, fresh fruit, and desserts Be sure to try their Indian coffee. They also serve Indian beers and other drinks I hope to try soon. There's a small grocery store next to the restaurant that carries Indian staples, specialties, produce and sweets. read more
