Ambiance: it's a small family style restaurant, located in a narrow strip mall with limited shared parking, they have less than ten tables inside, good for takeout orders Service: friendly but so slow and forgetful, it took a long wait to place order and receive food, had to remind them a few times to get rice, although they refilled water adequately Food: their lunch specials are great deals and regular menu are decent as well Shredded Pork With Carlic Sauce - *** average Kung Pao Triple - * Pork, Shrimp, and Beef, overly salty with burnt chili peppers, not the right sauce Grill Fish - **** Includes 2Ib Side Dishes, choice of Spicy Flavor, deep fried fish on top of cabbage, potato, bean sprouts, seaweed knots, tofu skins, fried tofu, sausage, fish balls, rich in flavors, recommend Hot Stir-Fried Beef Aorta - ***** crunch texture, highly recommend Chongqing style Spicy Fried Chicken - *** average taste Price: generous portions and reasonable prices, expect $50 per person

Spicy Chinese Kitchen is a new hidden gem in Torrance! This spot just opened up in a small plaza at the border of Torrance and Harbor City. It still has the name of the previous restaurant that was there but they have a large red banner that says "Spicy Chinese Kitchen. Grand Opening." Though relatively new I could definitely tell when I visited that this spot is gaining popularity quickly! By the time I left, this small spot had every table filled. I was impressed right from the start. They have a great lunch special that starts at $10.99. Each meal is kicked off here with complimentary peanuts and pickled vegetables and lunch special includes soup and white rice. They've got a great selection of entrees. My friend and I ended up getting Cashew Nut Chicken and Chicken with Green Onion. Both dishes were flavorful and tasty. Portion sizes were huge too and I had plenty of leftovers. I really like this new spot. They've got delicious and affordable food and I am looking forward to coming back.

Stir fried hot pepper chicken is so good and spicy great find for my Sichuan food cravings when I'm in town. Green or standard milk tea, along with the honey green tea have all been really satisfying. Nice ambiance, good for solo or group dining. Service is great, attentive and quick.

3.8/5 I've been here 3 times, and most of what I've ordered has tasted pretty good. The portions are big, the food comes out quickly, and the service is great. If you don't eat spicy food, just let them know to make it less spicy or mild.

Saw this new place and decided to give it a try on my daily walk, the food was really good I'll be coming back often to try out more of the menu items. Service was great and the place is really clean. Their lemon tea is very good, they have a huge drink selection so I'll be trying it all out as time goes

Hidden gem in the Torrance area and the dishes are authentic. Love the Chengdu style roasted duck and it's was a big portion. I was ordered the shredded eel and it tasted so good. Totally would come back again. The restaurant is pretty small but clean. It's more like a family style restaurant and the service was great.

Got the Broccoli Beef ($16.90) and Mixed Fried Rice ($15.90). Both dishes tasted really good. Very fresh ingredients. They really pack the food into the containers. Also, you can taste the Wok Hei flavor. The indoor seating can probably accommodate 15 - 20 people. SCK is located in a strip mall that has Del Taco and El Pollo Loco. Service was very friendly.

Went for lunch specials on a weekend and this is a full level leap up in regional Chinese food for the area! Reasonably priced and very spicy (be careful if you aren't used to southern Chinese food!). My mouth was still stinging well after the meal for the delicious hunan chicken with decent wok hei. The mustard shrimp was tasty, crispy and creamy. The San di xian (eggplant / green pepper / potato) was wonderful. The tea drinks were also good with fresh fruit in the fruit tea, and an extra good deal as a combo with the lunch specials. Bonus rural Chinese life videos were playing on the TV as we waited for our food. Service was prompt and friendly and she spoke good English. We would've eaten there if they had outdoor seating but we went to a park nearby with our takeout and that was great too. We'll have to go back to try more Hunanese (and chongqing) specialties and fried tea snacks

Unassuming from the outside, this spot bursts with authentic Sichuan flavors the moment you walk in. The aroma of chili and peppercorn sets the tone for a bold, satisfying meal. From crispy Chongqing chili chicken to silky spicy boiled beef in a tongue numbing mala broth, every dish delivers depth and heat. The stir-fried rice noodles are generously loaded and seriously spicy, while the salt and pepper wings are perfectly crisp and juicy. A true hidden gem near Torrance for anyone craving real deal Chinese spice.

My new favorite Chinese restaurant in South Bay ! Great environment and authentic Chinese food, staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place!

    C1.Grill Fish

My 2nd time here. They opened recently. Food tastes origina, with the original green pepper corn from China. Price is reasonable. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. They useThe place only has 7 tables and parking can be hard to find. Food 5. Service 5. Ambience 4.

So happy to have something like this on the west side--no more driving to SGV every weekend The food is legit, portions are generous, and prices are actually pretty reasonable. They just added crawfish (yes, crawfish in LA!)--$28 for 2 lbs and $57.9 for 5 lbs, which is a great deal. Some highlights for me: * Hunan-style stir-fried chicken - easily one of the best I've had in LA. Super flavorful, tangy + spicy, and lots of meat. * Grilled fish - very rich and loaded. Comes with tons of sides (tofu puffs, veggies, glass noodles) plus fish balls and spam, which is a nice surprise. * Hunan rice noodles - not too oily, very balanced, and packed with toppings (shrimp, pork, beef, egg). Portion is HUGE--def enough for 3-4 people for ~$18. Their stir-fry dishes are also well priced (~$20-26) and portions are solid Honestly feels like better value than a lot of SGV spots. They also have roast duck (huge portion, a bit salty for me) and milk tea , which is perfect if you need something to cool down--the food here definitely leans spicy It was already pretty busy when I went, with a short wait and lots of pickup orders. Feels like this place is going to get popular soon Overall, really happy to finally have a go-to Hunan spot on the west side

Highly recommend this place, staff were awesome and flavors out of this world.

We had the eel, shrimp and veggie soup, crunchy milk rolls, popcorn chicken and sides of steamed rice. Everything was fresh, hot, good amount of spice and very tasty. Amazing to have such an authentic place so close to home. Highly recommend, the staff is very nice and welcoming. A must try!

There was eight of us, and we ordered a lot of dishes to share. I'm gonna break them down, but I have to say that nothing we had was not top quality. I haven't had food like this in years. First was the Kung pow chicken. Wow, it was just a perfect blend of spice and the chicken was perfect. No gristle. And that is the theme of this entire meal. I hate gristle, this Kung pow was sublime. Sweet-and-sour pork. I basically given up on this dish because no one gets it right, and it's always an excuse to hide gristle and fat. Not in this case. It was super tasty and for the first time I can remember there wasn't 1 ounce of gristle in this meat. It was just crispy tasty wonderful. Hong Kong style chow mein with pork. Another dish I haven't had in years, and this place nailed it. Reminded me of my old China house restaurant in Alameda. I mean it was really good. The pork was awesome, the gravy was perfect. What a great dish. The fried rice was excellent. Not greasy at all. I believe we got a combination fried rice and man was it good. Shrimp with lobster sauce. This was excellent, God this dinner was just so great, and this dish was right in there with the rest of them. I can't wait to go visit family again so I can eat at this place. It was spectacular. Oh and the last thing, the hot and sour soup was amazing. Again haven't had this type of food since I left the Bay Area. I give this meal a triple wow!!!

I really wish they would bring it back because it was one of the restaurant's signature dishes and a favorite among many customers. During this visit, I ordered the sliced pork and the jelly noodles. The sliced pork was incredibly tender, with a clean, fresh flavor that let the ingredients' quality shine. The jelly noodles were refreshing, spicy, and full of bold Sichuan flavors. The combination of heat, seasoning, and texture was simply delicious. The dessert was also surprisingly good. It reminded me of mochi, topped with puffed rice that added a pleasant crunch and contrast to the soft, chewy texture.
