Not much to look at from the outside but that's not why I gave them three stars. The last two times I have been they had no indoor dining (meanwhile all other sushi restaurants nearby have had indoor dining). Also the quality is a bit subpar but you get what you pay for. Decent prices keep this place on my list and I'll change my rating to 4-stars once they reopen inside. Definitely a pleasant surprise! A coworker and I ordered and picked up today and were impressed. The quality for price is very good, and the staff working there were very helpful and quick. The place was easy to find, had their own parking lot, and were clean. The flavor of the food was good, and not overly salty or fishy. For only $6 this soba came packed with clams and a boiled egg. Take out only. My fiancé and i order the combo #3 with the dynamite. Our order came with a side salad and miso soup. The three rolls were enough to fill the two of us and were very tasty. The dynamite was a delight. The reason i am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because not a single soy sauce, wasabi or sriracha was added to our order. This can't have been a slip up because it was a lot of food. Idk if they charge for it but we were not aware and received none. The service was pretty good, but the restaurant itself didn't have a very put-together or clean vibe. I ordered their sashimi-roll combo. I chose their tuna sashimi and their crunch roll. My bf ordered their teriyaki chicken meal. Both came with salad and miso soup as appetizers. The miso soup was good and the salad was okay. The dressing was good, but there were blueberries in the salad, which was a little weird to me since it was with a peanut butter-type dressing. Our dishes came out with great presentation! They had cute plates and little umbrella garnishes. However, I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the quality of the food. You could definitely tell my sashimi was not prepared by someone Japanese. It came in large chunks and was definitely frozen. Sashimi should be thinly sliced in more rectangular shapes, rather than large, thick triangles. My crunch roll was probably the only good thing about the dish, but it wasn't the best I've ever had. My bf said his chicken was pretty dry, although he was glad it was white meat. They also separate the chicken and the rice, which is weird, as it's not your typical teriyaki chicken "bowl." Overall, I probably wouldn't go back to this place or really recommend it to anyone. There's definitely better teriyaki bowl places and sushi places in the area. read more

I came here on a Tuesday during lunch time and it was completely empty. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I tried the chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, caterpillar roll, tofu soup, and tonkatsu. The quality of the food was fairly poor. The chicken and beef teriyaki was dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. Well here we go, just moved in the area I knew about a sushi place that's a little further , decided to come here because my daughter wanted sushi , I order my food with a kind Latin lady and decided to wait for the food at the bar that's when I noticed the chef got mad and was talking sh/:t for sitting there he made it so obvious that even my daughter felt unwanted and uncomfortable very rude chef , I would understand if it was a packed place but we were the only ones there and another couple, finally got the food and it was not even close I've gotten better sushi at an AMPM Gas station ! I'll be honest: I love sushi, I love fusion food and I love tryin new things. This place is down the street from my work and a coworker and I decided to try it out for lunch. Upon arrival, we discovered the place was empty...at noon...which is never a good sign. The wait staff was nowhere to be found and we stood there awkwardly for about 2 minutes before they noticed us. Our waitress sat us at the bar and while she was very nice, she couldn't tell us what was in anything on the menu. The menu had no pictures or descriptions. When we asked, we were given a slim laminated menu with descriptions that said "Joe's Sushi" at the top (I've BEEN to Joe's and I recognized their rolls as well, so this is kind of irritating that this place didn't take the time to make up at least the same menu with THEIR name at the top...). Then we were handed a photo album with pictures of the rolls, like that helped... Overall, their sauces were oddly sweet and not in a pleasant way. Their "spicy mayo" was separated and smelled bizarre with large chili flakes floating in the translucent base. Their cuts of fish are lower quality and not fresh. It was VERY warm inside the establishment. I liked the Superman roll, which had generous portions of fish for the price and the waitress was very nice, hence the 2 stars. read more
