Not sure what happened here but changes should be made at least for Mother's Day.

The mashed potatoes were watery and very salty, and the broccoli was literally sitting in so much water that almost half of the bowl was full of it. The rice tasted like microwave rice, and the French fries were just ordinary fries. The biggest disappointment was the meat. It was extremely fatty, chewy, and had almost no flavor. The chicken was overcooked and tasted like leftovers that had been reheated. For an Argentinian restaurant, the quality and preparation of the meat should be one of the highlights, but unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. Honestly, we could barely eat our food and ended up leaving most of it. What made the experience even worse was that, despite barely being able to eat the food, we were still charged half of the meal. The total bill was over $85, and that included $5 for a small cup of what tasted like microwave rice. Just in case the food looks half-empty in the pictures, we did put some of the food onto our plates to try it. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat it, so that's why some of the containers look partially empty. As someone who was genuinely looking forward to trying Argentinian food, this experience was incredibly disappointing. In my opinion, this restaurant does not represent the quality or flavors that people expect from Argentinian cuisine. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I would not return.

I didn't really care for the sweet breads, but that is a personal preference. Value wise, the Parrillada platters could easily feed 4 - 5 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend checking out La Estancia if you enjoy grilled meats!

The chicken was hot, moist and extremely flavorful. The cream sauce (slightly light green) had a wonderful tangy flavor and really enhanced the flavor of the chicken even more. The plantains were exactly how I imagined they would taste and definitely craving worthy. I'd come back just for the chicken and plantains. My bf ordered his own carne asada dish and absolutely loved his choice. The waitress at the register recommended it to him and it did not disappoint. The yupita cheese balls were amazing and such a surprise when we got them for free! He even mentioned how glad he was that we finally found such a great "hole in the wall" place. One of my favorite Peruvian chicken places in Northern Virginia. By far the best charboiled chicken, very well made not too moist or dry. They have the best yuca in my opinion, flavorful and crispy. Their sweet plantains are also delicious. The owner/general manager (young couple) are always their and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I'm also a fan of their yucita balls (yuca balls with cheese). Their prices are reasonable and worth the good quality cooking. I've also had their lomo saltado and the meat with sautéed onions on point. For desserts when they first opened they did have tres leches, but I believe now their desserts are flan and alfajores. This was my first visit here. Unfortunately, it will be the last. The food was fine. However, the service was horrible. I wish I could have rated the service less than zero. I paid the order in cash. The cashier was purportedly the owner. She did not provide the correct change. Mistakes happen, when I pointed this out to her, she bitterly replied "Do the math." I pointed out to her that she made the error. She proceeded to use a calculator and confirmed that I was correct. I mentioned to her that it was not a problem and just apologize. I'm obsessed with Spin Pollo. I've never actually been inside the restaurant, but always order delivery. I get the loaded salchipapas that comes with beef, hot dog slices, and a fried egg over fries. This is a common street food in Ecuador, where my family is from, and I'm so glad to be able to order it here. I have also ordered and enjoyed the tallarín and stuffed potato.
