I went to SPIN for a company event and had a great time! The finger food was tasty and there were plenty of drink options. There was also a good mix of space for lounging and chatting to the side of the ping pong tables, which allowed people to enjoy a balance of ping pong games and networking/socializing. There were also a lot of ping pong balls, in baskets next to the tables, which meant you didn't have to run around chasing your balls throughout the night.

My company had a social event here. Over 100 staff were invited to the event. This place is really about the atmosphere and of course ping pong. The place is somewhat hidden. It is in the basement right across from Mira. Entrance from a back alley. Not the best location but hey people still knows about this place. We occupied the first open area near the entrance. In that area there are 8 tables. They have a great ping pong coordinator, referee or score keeper or whatever you want to call him. He is very active to get the game going. He got people to sign up and start playing. There are a few picnic table in the center of the room along with a few seats against the wall. Food was ok. It was definitely not wow. Most of their drinks are from cans and a few items from the tap. Like I said people who come here or have events here are really for the atmosphere or games and definitely not for the food. They do have coat check on site for those who needs it. We had a hell of a time. It was super fun. It is a great place to have a company event.

I came here as part of a work outing and it turned out to be one of my favorite venues. Spin is setup with ping pong tables on two sides with a bar in the middle. My company had 3 tables and a small lounge area with a fourth table. The food was excellent. My co-worker commented on how much he "felt like an adult" because there was a huge cheese platter with grapes. There were other platters with nachos and cheese, sliced dried meats, etc. Needless to say, it was pretty fancy. There were also Spin employees walking around serving food like beef tartare and grilled cheese sandwiches. We also received drink tickets. The Spin employees also setup a tournament ladder for us. This was the first time I had this much physical exercise in months and I'm exhausted. The sign that stated that it was basically a gym with beer was pretty accurate. The food was excellent and I had a lot of fun. What more can you ask for?

I got invited for a product launch party from work at SPiN. Have been there a couple of times already, so the place is not new to me. You can play ping pong/ table tennis on minimum 12 tables that I counted on site or just chill out at the bar. You can either play a tournament amongst your friends or just hit the ball for fun. They have a basket of balls nearby and you don't have to pick up any fallen balls as people around quickly "sweep" them. The only complaint I have is there are spots that are too dark and the spots that are lighted are dim, particularly when you first enter. You have to get used to the lights. Perfect for a bar or lounge, but not as much for playing and chatting with people around. The food served was good - on a platter all finger foods. There was a small sign in each of the picnic table where the food was, but sometimes difficult to read and also which dishes which were which. Two dips in platters and one had dairy and one did not. But a good experience overall as the staff were helpful.

SPIN is my company's go-to place for events, we've been here a couple times now. They're amazing at helping us with planning the event, from the food to ping pong tables. We booked out 3 ping pong tables for 3 hours which was more than enough time to play. It's super fun and can get competitive I was only able to take a couple of pictures as my colleagues devoured the rest That's how you know, the food was good. Great place to host events!

    So much fun!

SPIN: As good as it gets! My friend brought us here on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy but we only had to wait about 20-25 minutes for a table. The place was spotless, spacious, and they have a designated person to pick up your balls! Amazing!!! They have this handy dandy net and can pick up hundreds in seconds. Ping pong has never been this much fun. A large group of us went and we all took turns playing. There are 2 bars and they have a variety of drinks. I stuck with the cider and it was delicious. An hour of play was $40 and they give you a 10 minute warning. If you're looking for a chill spot with a cool crowd, try SPIN! The bathrooms were also clean and there were plenty of them. Can you please build one in Los Angeles?

Really love this place over a night of clubbing. Ping pong, a bar, great music playlist - sounds like a perfect combination. I've been here twice! Once for a work team outing, then another time I brought my boyfriend for a date night out. Pricing for tables can be a bit much, but I think it's worth coming for the unlimited play after hours on certain nights for your money's worth. Overall service here is pretty great, never have to pick up a ping pong ball on my own as there's people that come around to refill baskets full of balls. My encounters with the bar staff have been really great, though the front desk on one Saturday night seemed a little more distracted talking amongst each other rather than greeting newcomers in or being attentive to those waiting on a table.

Verdict: I'll be back --- So I'm conflicted on this review. I've visited spin a few times in the past and I've typically come here for drinks and ping pong. I've always had a good time, and the atmosphere is typically great. So you might be wondering why I'm conflicted... Well this time I decided to have some food, and unfortunately (in my quest to have a half decent burger) ended up ordering the burger. The fries were good, they seemed to have some kind of lemon pepper salt on them. The sauce (it wasn't ketchup) they came with was horrible so I avoided it. The burger however was dry. Why can't I find a decent burger in the city? I'd avoid this meal if I came here for dinner. Based on my experience with the burger I would have left a much lower review, but lucky for Spin we ordered a few different dishes and some of them did manage to redeem the place. Buffalo broccoli, this was actually amazing. I loved it. I could have slurped up the sauce and licked the plate clean, but that's just not socially acceptable. Definitely get this as a shareable if you're in a group. 7 layer dip, this was really good too. The hummus tasted fresh and the dip overall had a nice balance and offered up a little bitterness. It was great. This is also a great candidate for a shareable. Crispy pork lettuce wrap was passable. The meat was tough and the lettuce leaf was bitter. The Filipino gravy saved this dish. I'd avoid this one if I had to eat there again. Chicken drumstick was pretty good. The char siu sauce was nice and the meat was cooked surprisingly well. This is probably the only dish I'd grab as a dinner if I came here and hadn't eaten first. Overall my advice would be to grab food before you get to Spin. There are a tonne of great places to eat in the area.

Came here for a party as a guest. We took out three ping pong tables in the back room. The concept is very fun - there's food and a full bar. There's seating and tall tables around the ping pong tables for spectators. When you arrive, each table has four paddles and a bucket of balls waiting to be used. The paddles are in pretty good condition - not new, and nothing really special. Some of the balls were squished, but overall it wasn't a problem. You can hit the balls anywhere you want, since there are attendants picking them up and refiling your buckets continuously. The drinks menu was pretty good. I didn't get the impression that the bartender was very skilled though - every time we ordered a drink he would pull out a little laminated binder with drink recipes and follow them. As a result it took him maybe twice as long to get drinks out as it usually would. Drinks were served in these cute mason jars. We had quite a few of the drinks - the Peach Pit was a little bland, and not very strong. A predominantly club soda taste to it. Their Mexican spin of an Old Fashioned, the Pasado de Moda (definitely the most expensive drink on the menu at $15.50) was pretty overpriced but pleasantly strong, with a fun giant cube of ice. Not worth the price though. Hurricane and Singapore Sling were both fruity and very sweet. Long Island Iced Tea was very solid, and they made a pretty good Manhattan too. I had a lot of fun, but I do have to say that I don't think I would have come if I was paying for it myself. The combo of drinks and ping pong seems a bit counter-intuitive - by the third drink the only thing I wanted to do was sit and watch (and drink some more), the opposite of playing ping pong.

Cool place! Good music, vibes, setting, drink menu, and such a blast to play ping pong in this setting with ur friends! Would come back again! Havent tried the food yet.

Came here a few time now. This place is pretty awesome. Ping pong and drinks (mainly). It's probably best bet to make a reservation ahead of time rather than just showing up and hoping for the best. They also have some shareable plates which are pretty good. The staff there do their best to keep the floors balls free!

This is a fun concept for someone who is never been it's a lounge/bar with ping-pong tables everywhere and it gets quite busy we went in around midnight and were able to get a table around 1 AM after we put our name on the waitlist. It costs $20 for every half hour and $40 for the full hour. They have loud throwback music playing and there's drinks flowing everywhere and there's never any shortage of ping-pong balls because they keep replacing your baskets. It's a fun concept but definitely gets packed so if you want to make sure you get a table you have to make a reservation in advance which can be a little pricier! I wish they had more places to sit and more couch areas so that those who are not able to play can still at least enjoy their drinks and hang out

The place SEEMED quiet but shortly thereafter the place got JAMMED! Initially it was slow service but it picked up shortly. We had several different servers so no single server is tagged here. I will say that it's a hip, nicely equipped restaurant. We decided to do an appie meal. We ordered Sichuan Chicken lettuce wraps ($25.50)..this was the best of the appies. The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. In summary...I wouldn't go out of my way again to go here but given all things being equal, the servers were very good. As a final note...the bathroom was very clean & well maintained.

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service. I can definitely understand why this spot has become such a popular destination, and I would love to come back again for Winterlicious!

Perched high above the bustle of downtown Toronto, LOUIX LOUIS makes a compelling first impression…read more The dining room is genuinely handsome -- a study in polished Art Deco glamour softened by sweeping city views that lend every table a sense of occasion. On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation. The kitchen demonstrates genuine competence: dishes arrive with care, the pacing is unhurried, and the mise en scène -- from tableside presentation to that now-famous thirteen-layer chocolate cake -- reveals an establishment that understands the theatre of fine dining. That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point. Dishes satisfy without surprising; technique is evident but inspiration, at moments, feels held in reserve. For the corporate traveller or the visitor seeking a polished, geographically convenient showcase of the city's skyline, this represents an entirely sound choice. For those seeking an experience whose flavours linger as long as the view, the kitchen has room yet to grow into its magnificent stage. Service is attentive and well-intentioned, though it can occasionally want for the depth of knowledge that elevates a good meal into a memorable one. LOUIX LOUIS is, in sum, a very good restaurant striving -- not quite yet arriving -- at greatness. The bones are exceptional; one hopes the culinary vision will, in time, catch up with them.
