I decided to be a tourist on my own city with my bestie. First stop was a narrated history of Baltimore boat tour. Although I have done this before, it was nice to do this now and observe the changes. The tour talks about all the popular neighborhoods surrounding the habor as you sail past them. Hearing the history of what it was and the purpose it served was very educational. Seeing the evolution gives you a great appreciation. Light snacks and beverages (soft drinks and alcohol are served) are available for purchase to enjoy while on the boat. The whole tour takes about an hour. Just enough time to hold your interest. The highlights for me was the nati boh building, domino sugar factory, federal hill, and the "Francis Scott Key Bridge" or lack there of. I enjoyed how the history of the bridge included it's recent accident. This tour made me enjoy my city so much more. Take this cruise if you have guest in town or just want to have a day on the water. It's worth it. read more

Absolutely phenomenal! First off, the crew were so friendly and fun! The service was top notch! The food was amazing (we had the brunch) and the drinks were well made! Me and my husband cannot wait to take another trip on the spirit. Everyone was dancing and having fun, all I saw were smiles and it was clear everyone was enjoying themselves. The views of the inner harbor were beautiful, and the crew even offered to take pictures for us. I would definitely recommend this business! Do yourself a favor and order the crab dip with pita bread!!! read more

This my second time riding in the Spirit. One time was a night cruise and the second is a day cruise. I would ride again, but either at night or doing the cooler season, because it gets really hot on the deck and it's barely any shade as well. The line are really long , so I would get there either early, or prepare for a wait. The staff and my server was super nice and the food was decent, but not nothing to brag about. It is a live DJ and photography. We had purchase the photo package and pictures was really nice. I did however wish the DJ played Variety of music and not just Afro-Pop and "Cookout songs" day cruise Night cruise - R&B and "Cookout songs" Outside of that it was nice to do and just relax. read more

I've been on The Odyssey from Spirit Cruises a handful of times now for various occasions - from an employee retreat day and a university's reunion/get together to, most recently, a memorial service. While I do think it is a good all-inclusive choice of venue to gather a large crowd, there is so much left to be desired when it comes to the service and quality of food. Plated nicely, but overcooked, bland and lukewarm. I'm not a food snob by any means, but I don't like when food is pretending to be something it's not and priced accordingly so. For the memorial, we had a prix fixe menu to choose from consisting of an appetizer, entree, and dessert. We were able to select our entree (chicken or salmon), but never got an opportunity to put in an order. Upon returning from the bathroom, we had the salmon placed in front of our seats already. If you're wondering about how the dish was, please see note above about food. For the dessert, we did put in an order, but did not get delivered it until the boat had already docked. I'm pretty sure the private event space had to share service with the main dining room/other parties. I think what bothered me most on my recent visit was how our party's room was connected to the main dining area... where music was blasting... and the acoustics entered and interrupted the memorial. Servers would come in and out during the speeches, doors flung open allowing this noise to enter. It makes me wonder if flow of the evening was a careless afterthought. As I talked about in a previous review of Baltimore's inner harbor, there are a lot of cool, interesting and exciting things to do there. One of those awesome to do adventures is to take a boat tour of the inner harbor. My boss, I and many others attending the conference we were in took a boat tour on Spirit Cruises. It was an amazing experience. I had an absolutely wonderful time. The most similar experience I had to this were boat tours I took years ago in Miami's Bayside Marketplace... but this tour was so much better. 1) it started at dusk and went into the night so much better views. 2) There was a DJ, plenty of booze, and dinner. It was a awesome to relax in the upper deck that has plenty of comfortable seating with a beverage in hand as you just let the beauty of the water and inner harbor relax you....especially with some great music in the background. The food was awesome... plenty of food served buffet style... I had two full plates of different types of chicken, pork, mash potatoes, the food was savory, delicious and well made. The service of the staff was wonderful. The only bad part of my time here was that it ended... I wish I could have stayed several more hours on here. My boyfriend surprised me with a Spirit dinner cruise recently as a birthday gift and it was a fun time. I can't comment on the value of the cruise as it was a gift and I don't know how much it costed, but I can comment on the quality of service, food, and overall experience I had. Our boat had three levels: two indoor areas with tables and one upper deck. The indoor levels had AC and were decorated so well that it was almost like a restaurant. Each table was nicely set with white tablecloths and fancy silverware. We got a table by the window upon special request (you pay extra basically). There is a dress code, but it is not strictly enforced. Just wear something decent, like khakis and a polo or a sundress, and you'll be okay. The service was great. Every server and staff member was charismatic and friendly. We could order whatever kind of drinks we wanted. There were 2 bars on the boat. A buffet-style dinner was included with our tickets as well as a 2.5 hour cruise in the harbor. The dinner was a major disappointment. None of the food was good. There was a lot of variety and it all looked awesome, but none of it tasted right. Everyone we saw left a lot of food on their plates. I felt bad doing so, but it was honestly hard to stomach it :-( The cruise in the harbor was great. We were free to roam the 3 levels and spent most of our time on the top deck after dinner. It was very peaceful on the water. You don't see the most interesting stuff, especially if you've visited the harbor before, but it's fun nonetheless. There was a DJ on the lower level and some guy playing guitar on the upper deck. He took requests. He was pretty good. You have the opportunity to get a photo souvenir. They take your photo before you board. The bathroom was also surprisingly very nice. It was spotless, smelled great, and had a real toilet - not like the toilets you see on airplanes, which is what I expected. I would highly suggest going on a Spirit dinner cruise for a special occasion, like a birthday or anniversary. Just make sure you eat before :-) read more

I can honestly say that ANYONE visiting or even living in Baltimore should go on the dinner cruise with Spirit Cruises. The food was AMAZING - everything from the chicken to the braised beef to the baked ziti!!!! A HUGE thank you to the cooks - GREGORY, LEON and TANK!!!! If it weren't for them, the cruise would NOT be the same (especially since I was expecting subpar cafeteria food). 2.5 hours on the water for this price is a GIFT!!! Spirt Cruises are a great way to check out Baltimore inner harbor if you're visiting. Made a reservation for an afternoon boat ride. Pretty inexpensive and fun to do. Once we arrived for our scheduled ride, they told us that they weren't sure if the boy would be taking off. Apparently there weren't enough people, in fact I believe we were the first. Luckily some more people showed up (like three) and we were off. Just several people on the boat, but hey I like my space. I kept the bartender happy by tipping a little extra for his efforts. The sights were beautiful. I really enjoyed myself. If you got time, it's a nice day, and you'd like to sightsee, try these guys. read more

The bartender, Cynthia i was so rude, I couldn't really hear because of the screaming children and when she asked me what I wanted I asked "what do you have?" she said, "NEXT PERSON , I don't serve children who ask!" she didn't give me my drink and my friends quinton and Jeremy also had terrible service, the bartender straight up lied to them and said no refills when half an hour later the man on the speaker said to get refills. Also half the cups was FOAM! Oh and noooooow both bartenders are gone and people are filling their own drinks from behind the counter. Ugh I can hardly think because everything is so loud. They should be fired. Boring cruise, terrible service , and they just scooped Mac and cheese off the ground and put it back in the serving bowl omfg I think I am going to puke. read more

Went on a big cruise recently with spirit cruises , unfortunately the weather was bad but my overall experience was ok. The service definitely has room for improvement , the boat itself won't disappoint and there is a rooftop with nice seatings and a bar. It wasn't a long route , just went to canton and back so nothing special unless you don't know much of Baltimore. read more

The brunch buffet was overall awesome. Some items (potatoes, fish, etc.) were too salty the first round but they were good during the second round. They had an extensive collection of desserts and breakfast food. The entire area was very clean and organized. We did not reserve a window table but got to sit at the table next to one so had an awesome view (probably better than the window table because the windows were a little high so sitting a bit far gave a better angle). The DJ was friendly and we had a good time. The top deck had beautiful layout and plenty of seating. We had a blast and want to go back, hopefully soon. It's a bit pricy but we got a 20% or something discount so we got a good deal . read more

Horrible service! I purchased a groupon to celebrate our anniversary and when it was time to schedule it was near impossible to find a date! The groupon I purchased was advertised for Sunday's-Thursday's, except they had every Sunday and Thursday in October and November blacked out, meaning I couldn't use the groupon. My partner is in the military, so Sunday's would have worked best since that is what I had purchased it for. I usually celebrate other holidays such as bdays but never again!! read more

We celebrated New Year's on the Gatsby Spirit Dinner Cruise. HIRRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Don't bother wasting your money! They would not let us on the Boat for 30 minutes to 1 hour waiting outside in 18degree weather. Because person checking tickets could not read! Food was cold, no champagne, employees rude, refused to help. When it was time to leave waited 30 minutes to 45 minutes to get off boat because employees could not figure out how to get guests off. I attended the spirit dinner cruise for my 21st birthday and besides the worries I had I must say it was a great time ! Our waiter Charlene was super caring and helpful! Food wise their was not much options but they all tasted great so my party and I didn't mind they had all options for different eating styles wether salad pasta or meat is your preference you'll be pleased. Atmosphere of the boat was very classy and once food is done the Dj cuts on tunes to get everyone off their feet my party and another ladies were dancers so we did get it moving while other people sat and awkwardly watched an sorta wish they could once we put on Cupid shuffle that got the ball rolling and we danced the night away I Can say I did almost miss this boat while half of my party was already on so do be there on time!due to the compassion of the workers just before the boat docked we did get let on the only cons and why this did not get 5 stars is because for the high ticket price you would wish the boat ride was longer than 2 hours and also the dinner ticket would include more than just tea coffee! I Would say overall great experience! Wouldn't mind doing it again !! read more

I came into town 7/14 for a one day experience. I live in the Hampton Roads area in VA, so I wanted to make the most of my trip. So, I decided to purchase a Groupon for 4. But first, I read the fine print about making reservations, so I called to make sure there were openings for that day. The male that I spoke to-sorry can't remember his name-answered all my questions and told me there was a Cruise leaving at 2:30 and 4:30. And because there were still openings for the 2:30, I was okay to purchase the Groupon and call right back to make the reservations. So, that's exactly what I did. I quickly bought the tickets and called right back. This time I spoke to a Samantha, who told me there was an adjustment to the times and the cruise is leaving at 3, so boarding time is now 2:45. I thought that was strange because I literally just spoke to someone not even 5 mins before who gave me different instructions. I said ok, and thanked her and went on to have lunch with my party. Not watching the time I realized it was almost time to board. Samantha had told me I could pick up my tickets a hour before. It was about 2:40 when I arrived to the booth only to be told the 2:30 cruise had already left and I would have to make new reservations for the 4:30 cruise. WTH?!?!? The girl at the booth almost didn't believe me until another customer walked up and said the same thing. I don't know who this Samantha person is, or why she is giving out misinformation. Then, to top it off the girl at the booth could not change my reservation and asked me to go down to their next booth where someone else could change it. The other customer followed as well. Anyways, I get to the other booth and clear as the day, the cruise times are posted on the window. I'm glad everything worked out and I was able to go, but the misinformation really put a damper on my mood. If I had planned other things around that cruise time, which I did, but at the same time playing it by ear, I would have asked for my money back. They had asked me about changing to another day, but that was not happening. Plus, I have a 4 hour drive back home. Don't know if I'd recommend this cruise ship since the employees can't seem to get it together. Hope Samantha did not give me misinformation in spite bacause I had a Groupon. read more

Spirit Cruise could have done so much better but they are not. Its your typical tourist trap. We made a dinner cruise reservation for my wife's Birthday (mentioned that on the online reservation). Got to Inner Harbor on tine and boarded the boat. The interior is pretty decent and the air condition keeps the dining area nice and cool in HOT days. Their food and service is where they dropped the ball. The buffet is a joke. Nothing that stood out and was less than mediocre when comes to taste. The alcoholic drinks has no alcohol in them. We both are pretty cheap drunk and we didn't feel anything after having two Tropical Splash (regular size) so we got the 45 oz thinking that should do the trick. NOTHING. Very shocking. Wonder if they hold back on the liquor so people don't get sick on the boat. But charging outrageous prices for "alcoholic" drinks just did not seem fair (we spent $75 on drinks without getting any buzz). They give some ice cream desert in a glass for people who are celebrating special occasion but we did not get anything. When i asked the server (Kali), she got one for my wife which looked as someone already took some scoops out of it. Told my wife not to touch it. You also get the glass from the drinks you ordered and one of the bar server gave us an extra glass at the end of the tour but our server took it from us (i don't think she understood it was a gift). The boat tour was just OK, nothing special and nothing to see apart from the industrial zone. I thought we would see some sweet views but NAH. You can spend your money smarter and see better things. read more

I went for a dinner cruise. We had a promo for 50% off so the price only came to 43.00 so it wasn't too bad. They had a small variety for the buffet but in my opinion the food was really good so I didn't mind the lack of options. My friends felt differently. The boat was definitely not full to capacity as one would assume for a Friday night in the summer but that's probably due to the high price tag. To pay almost $100 and no drinks included not even soft drinks is a hard pill to swallow for some. Great for couples and celebrations. read more

We are considering a Spirit Cruise for a company New Year Celebration in 2018. Christina our sales rep very generously offered to let us try it out since one of our employees had a bad experience earlier in the summer. We had a wonderful evening. We were warmly greeted and taken very good care of. The food was delicious and there was a large variety for every taste. The ship was nicely decorated with lit garland around the windows. The ship was extremely clean as were the restrooms. When we ventured up to see the sites, we even witnessed a proposal. I highly recommend Spirit Cruises and think our employees will have a great time when we all go together in January 2018. read more

We went on the city lights cruise. It was great! The views were beautiful. The cruise was just over an hour long. The only thing I would comment negatively on was the bar. The bartender was great by the drinks were extremely over priced. If I did this again I would do dinner and get drinks before coming on. Overall great staff and environment. read more

I was there with my students for the 8th grade trip to D.C. And the odyssey 3 was overbooked and extremely poorly organized. It took 20 minutes to sit all the kids and none of the chaperones had seats until they brought out extra tables. The tables were placed on the center of the "dance floor" (a small cramped tile square) and blocked anybody from crossing the room. Also, getting food was a complete nightmare. With only a few small trays of food and hundreds of children, it took almost fourth minutes to even have a plate in hand. Overall, the entire "cruise" was too long and cramped. read more
