The woman who helped us took 15 minutes searching for a skirt that we described, and we finally found it. $49. Saks Off 5th will now be our favorite place to shop.

I have always found the staff, friendly and helpful. A year ago, I decided to move to Palm Desert and continued my Residential Interior Design here. I've been to this specific store a few times now. I am not sure what is going on at this location, "Palm Desert CA ", but the staff look extremely unhappy and unfriendly. specifically one gentleman who calls himself the store manager, but he is not. I have seen him picking fights with different clients almost every time I go there. I have tried to strike a friendly note with him, trying to calm him down. At one occasion, out loud, he was telling a client that his position there is what people say to "choose wisely" at the beginning of your career. Once he was staring down at a client to a point where the lady started yelling " Are you staring me down? may I talk to your manager?" and with a great attitude, he responded, "you are talking to him." Long story short, last time I was there I was doing heavy shopping for a 85 year-old woman. Nothing big knickknacks and kitchen items and Home Staples. I was doing a small project for her here at the desert. she has various ailments and I had to be careful choosing the right products for her, which are light enough and easy to operate. Thus, it took me over two hours in the store to do selection of various items for her.. I think that had raised a red flag with the staff. I was treated so poorly there. I had over five workers approaching me and asking " can we help you with something? it seems you've been here for a long time . Every time I would respond, yes I am buying for a client. I need to make the right the selections. it takes time . I do understand store security is important and shrinkage is a problem, but not everybody is a thief. I do believe I am well dressed and I don't like a bum. At the end, yes, the same gentleman approached me aggressively with the same question. I broke out in anger, saying "is there a problem sir? " I'm spending over $800 worth of products here. Nevertheless, I was followed by him until I went to the checkpoint and paid for the products and left the building. Funny enough, he knows me from previous purchases through him, which always has been over five to $600. I tried to make a complaint to their head offices. I got a email saying that my concern has been sent to the store Manager Sylvia "something" and she will get back with me ASAP. This was a month ago and no response. Again, it's a pity. I love this store and most probably I will be shopping at their other locations, but this one definitely has some major staffing and management issues. Needless to say I will not be returning there. Who would like to be treated like this?......

The store was featuring a clearance while we were there, and there were numerous racks in the aisles with clothes from past seasons. I didn't find my wedding guest dress, but I scooped up two pairs of sports pants one black and one white, and a couple of glittery tops for next holiday season. I'll return to hunt the racks again, and find more treasures to add to my wardrobe!

This place would be your typical covered indoor mall. Theres not much to it besides the main stores with Macys, Dicks and JC Pennys as they're major department stores. They have some of the other basics you would get inside any mall. HM, Finish Line, Hollister, Lids, Vans, Bath and Body Works and so on. Your regular retail chain stores. It's a decent size mall that you could walk down the whole strip in no time. Not overly big. Lately whenever I pop in to windows shop, it's not that busy. But I guess now as school is starting soon it has picked up a lot. They do have some restaurants as well as smaller snack booth. It's sucks that this is the only mall in the desert. You would think that they would make it way better to cater to everyone. But I guess it's going well so far. Not a lot of stores that I've been to as they're new to me. Plenty of parking with outdoor as well as a covered parking structure in the back.

The first thing I saw was how FRESH and HEALTHY everything looked. The ingredients were vibrant and clearly prepared with care. After speaking with the owner, I learned this is a FAMILY OWNED business that recently opened, and I was one of their early customers. That made the experience even more meaningful. For my first visit, I tried the tuna wrap and it was AMAZING. The owner was PASSIONATE about the food and took the time to explain the menu and the value is great. You can tell there is real pride behind what they serve. They also offer WRAPS, FRESH SALADS, AND BURGERS, so there are plenty of options depending on what you want. The atmosphere was FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, AND FAMILY ORIENTED. If I am back at the mall, I will definitely come again. IF YOU ARE AT THE SHOPS AT PALM DESERT, GO UPSTAIRS AND CHECK OUT IT'S A WRAP. The lighting, the displays, the textures, the way the clothes are styled... it all feels intentional and beautifully curated. It pulls you in. You want to be the woman who lives in this store. And then I try things on. This is where my "problem" begins. Anthropologie, along with its sister brands Free People and Urban Outfitters, designs for a feeling more than a body. The pieces are soft, flowing, relaxed, and often oversized. They look incredible on the hanger and even better in photos. But on me, it's a different story. Many of the pieces lack structure. They don't define the body, they don't shape you, and sometimes you're left feeling like you're wearing the idea of an outfit rather than something that actually works in real life. It's not that the clothes aren't beautiful... they are. They just don't always translate in a way that feels polished or intentional once they're on. And that's where the frustration comes in. Because every once in a while, I do find something that works... and when it does, it really works. But getting there takes effort. So why do I keep coming back? Honestly... not always to shop. They're lined with sour and have a little faux fur cuff for comfort. Next, I headed over to the night count section Beth found mostly short sleeve tops with pants. I dug on and came up with a new set of lightweight pants with an over shirt designed by the gap and a beautiful, pale sage green color, which looked very restful. I thumbed through the offerings and also found a comfy cozy sweater jacket made of a soft fleece for those times when the heater just isn't enough. I headed for checkout, and on the way, found sunscreen, perfect for enjoying the rest of my stay in Palm Springs. Good value is always to be found here as well as some of the fresh looks in the market.
