I was at their Shelton location today. What a bad experience, they did such a lousy job. Over 30 dollars for a bad job. They always need to be reminded to do the tire shine that you pay for. They like to skip this and hope that customers don't notice. I need to look elsewhere for a car wash. Shelton is terrible! Brought my car for a wash today and my side mirror gets broken in auto car wash and they said it was broken, even though the attendant had to go in the booth and recover the other half the mirror. Asked to look at cameras and they wouldnt. Didnt even offer a free car wash, even though i would never go back. read more

Maybe I'm lucky or caught these guys on "on" days but I haven't had a bad experience. To be honest, I don't come here for a car wash per se but every three months or so to get a inside clean and outside wax. I find these services rather expensive but afterwords my car(s) look great. I have tried other car wash services in the area but have always been very pleased with the results here. One of my cars is a 99 Voyager with 200,000 miles and it looks great when they are done. Figure I drop about $70 plus tip and it takes a while--bring a book--but the end result has always been good. Maybe it's just an issue if all you're getting is a car wash. read more

I went today for a car wash. I planned to get the Super Shine, but the associate suggested I upgrade to The Works as my wheels were quite dirty. I agreed to pay the extra $3 for this. When I got home, I took a look at my wheels and they were as dirty as ever. There is no way I received the services that I paid for! I just had my car detailed for the first time here. I'm new to the area, and previously used personal touch. My mom swears by splash so I tried it out. I thought the prices were comparable. The customer service from all the staff was great- all friendly and efficient. I had an interior only 5 star detail. Almost all the difficult dog hair was removed and surfaced were cleaned. I was a little bummed I had to touch up more spots than I wanted to after having it serviced. (Inside sides or front seats, in between center counsel, base of back seats near seatbelts) I'll try them out again, I'm otherwise pleased. read more

I highly recommend this location. I have found it much better than any other location in the area. My car always comes out looking super clean. The manager at this location is very friendly, knowledgable, and has been very helpful answering any questions I've had. Absolutely terrible! The guy suggested I get the works since my car really needed it I went through and pulled over to vacuum the car. At the same time a guy was trying to repair the hose and told me to stop, so I did then he had me waiting I asked if I could start again and he told me yes but walked over to me and tried to take the hose from my hand and offered to vacuum the inside. I was very upset since I wanted to do it myself since I lost something in the car. I was very offended and left only to come home and notice that all my tires are disgusting and I spent 30 min at home using my own products to clean the car. Waste of money and time. AWEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont mind spending the extra money for a nice car wash but I refuse to pay ANY AMOUNT of money for a half @ss job!! The people working here (BESIDES THE WOMAN AT THE REGISTER! SHE WAS VERY FRIENDLY!) do nothing but argue amongst eachother and walk around looking like they have something to do but do NOTHING! They wipe your car with dirty towels that leaves residue and dirt crumbs from OTHER cards allllll over your car! They cant even seem to manage to even get the windows streak free! I had dirt still on my hood and trunk and my floor wasnt even properly vaccuumed because there was still dirt and pebbles near my gas peddle! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I'd rather drive to VIP in stratford and spend the extra $10 bucks for an amazing job! read more

I have been going to this car wash for years and the mgrs really want you to be happy. Today I brought them a disaster. My Subaru forester had been keyed and I made the situation much worse by going at all the scratches with a brush and touch up paint. I asked Splash to do an " exterior detail". I really thought I would need a paint job. Their expert detailer, Eduardo, cleaned up my mess so amazingly all the employees couldn't wait for me to see it! He also cleaned the engine, vacuumed inside and did both sides of the windows. For $125, I have a new car. read more

I originally brought my car here and got a full exterior detail done, timing was to my convenience which was great, i was demonstrated on a corner of the car of how it would come out which was great as well. Left the car there for the day and didn't realize until a few days later that the "swirls" that i was told was going to be removed, was still on the entire body as if the product was applied but not buffed to make it feel as if the job was done. I then called splash and spoke to a manager about having the service redone because i was unhappy with the results for the money I paid. Scheduled a return apt for 8Am and the detailer "Berto" refinished my car. Its way better than the initial visit, I'm very anal about my vehicle and i notice everything. Its my second visit in two weeks & the car is still isn't 100% compared to if i were to do it myself, but if anyone is going to get this job done here, go to berto who kept his word in making sure i was satisfied with the job before i left. read more

It is inevitable in your daily life that you need to deal with uncouth folks thrown into the front-lines of a service company. BE WARNED - One such place teeming with arrogance and ignorance is the Splash Car Wash in Shelton, CT. I've been using this service and had a run-in with one arrogant person here a while back but sadly, I did not learn my lesson. I came back for a car wash 48 hours ago and returned today to avail of their "72-hour promise" to re-wash your car. They looked up my "rewards membership number" and lo and behold - no record of my car wash 2 days prior! A hung-over guy kept repeating that while he believes I'm not trying to obtain a free $10 wash for my $30,000 car, there is nothing he can do since his computer has no record of my wash. The "manager" repeated the same helplessness in resolving my predicament. BTW, they never gave me a receipt for the 1st car wash. After much protestation on my part, the manager said HE WILL DO ME A FAVOR and give me the wash for free. First of all, had the illiterate person who served me two days ago duly recorded my car wash, I would not be in this melee. Second, they should have issued me a receipt and should now be APOLOGIZING for their oversight in not recording my transaction two days ago. Instead, I was given a "New Year" treat of their trademark condescension and arrogance. If proximity is the mere reason for you to select this place, I beseech you to reconsider and go elsewhere. Their "rewards program" is most likely an ongoing SCAM and far from being rewarded, you will be PUNISHED with having to deal with these miscreants. read more

I was asked to give a review I got a wash last Friday. And being someone who ran the carwash port when I worked for the company in Wilton years ago. I was completely shocked how the job was done. I purchased "the works". They left wax on my car from the wash. They did not wipe down the rims of the windows which is the section of the window that is covered when the window is all the way up. They did not even wipe down the dashboard, door jam or any of the interior. When I spend thirty dollars I expect the basics. As well I was not even briefed on my car wash purchase. As in what the wash may not be able to clean on the car, and what you offer in a service to remove tree sap, and road gunk which was on my car. Over all I wash not happy with my purchase, and experience. Nor was my father with his at this very same location this morning. Horrible service. I went in at around closing time (my mistake) they took my car in for a $20 hand wash and interior vacuum. Everything was alright until I got into my car and noticed my dashboard was covered in one area with dust. I turned to find an employee and they were already all gone. So I sucked it up and drove away. I pulled over to remove the dust with a dust cloth thinking it wasn't a big deal. Until I noticed ROCKS EVERYWHERE. Rocks lodged in the crevices of my dash and piled up in any place they could gather. At this point I was a bit angry. Then I saw the scratches left in my interior by these rocks. Not only did I get a subpar vacuum and exterior wash, but these people managed to damage my interior in the process. I will NEVER go back. read more

I have been coming here for years, and have always been pleased... but the other day I dropped my car off for a full interior detail. The manager, Dave was more that wonderful. He said my car would be awhile because it was so gross. He offered to bring me home. When I returned to splash, I was amazed at the work they did. Not only did they clean it all like new on the inside, they waShed the outside as well! Every inch of my interior was spic and span!! I went in today and paid $68 (which included a $4 tip) for an exterior wash and an interior cleaning. I had bird droppings on my car before I went in and it was still there after the wash. The interior vacuum job was horrible and there was still dust everywhere. Still had debris in there on the chairs and floor mats. No attention to detail. I will never go back to this place. Feel like I was ripped off. If you charge extremely high prices make sure you add value to the product/service you're selling. Next time I'll spend $4 to vacuum it my self. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My fiancé took his car to get a car wash last week. He mistakenly left his wallet underneath the driver's seat. The staff cleaned the inside of the car and vacuumed. When he left the car wash he went to the gas station, when he realized his wallet was missing. Before automatically accusing the employees, he went home to double check that he didn't leave it at home. When he realized his wallet was gone, he returned to the car wash looking for his wallet. His wallet contained his drivers license, money, credit cards, debit cards, and other identification. My fiancé was very reasonable and offered a cash reward to anyone who returned his wallet, as his identification cards were most important to him. To no surprise, the men that vacuumed and cleaned the inside of the car denied finding any wallet, and were uncooperative and rude. My fiancé called the police and filed a report. The assistant manager replied that they're "not responsible for lost items." But shouldn't they be responsible for STOLEN items? The responding officer mentioned that this was not the first incident of stolen items reported from this location. Luckily, my fiancé knows the manager who took a deeper look into the camera footage, and stated that there was "suspicious activity" when the guys were cleaning inside the car. Unfortunately, the investigation is still under way. Take my advice and steer clear from this car wash. Their staff consists of untrustworthy convicts, and the assistant manager will not help you with any wrong doings! My family, friends and I have used this car wash for years, but we will never give them our business again. After all, they got away with a wallet filled with cash, cards, and identification, and we can never be reimbursed for that. read more

The Worst! Save your money and go somewhere else. For locals, Russell Speeders on River Rd does a better job for express washes, although they don't offer vacuum services. I have never left there feeling like my vehicle was washed correctly either by hand washing or express. I have had great experiences at other Splash Car locations, however. Don't go here!!! I went here for a quick exterior wash and when I came home I found a 14 inch scratch on the pillar of my car near the windshield, which I am 110% certain wasn't there beforehand. This was on my less than one month old BMW. When I went back they told me to come back the next day and talk to the manager. The next day I saw the "assistant manager", a sloppy guy who was more concerned with smoking his cigarette and talking on his phone than my issue...he pawned me off to someone else who basically said no way his wash could have done it and just dismissed me and took no responsibility for their damaging my car. As an unlimited car wash member, I am often at Splash. When I go inside to check out, I am never greeted by the cashier, Myla. Most of the time she is sitting behind the counter on her phone, and other times there is a line of people and she isn't at the counter. Very disappointed at how rude she is to customers. I wondered why the reviews were not so great. My wife purchased a book of exterior washes for a treat and I used the last one today. The nice guy at the check-in asked if I wanted to upgrade to a "works plus express" for $7.00. He was training a new guy and when all was said and done he came back and said sorry, I mean a $9.00 upcharge. He asked if I was a member and I said yes but that that did nothing to the $7.00 to $9.00 charge. At the next station, more waiting for more training. Finally the manger stopped by and told the group to have me go through. By the way, there was no one ahead of me because I was there before 8:15 on this sunny Saturday. Long story short, I have no idea if I received an undercarriage wash or whether I would have received that with my exterior wash anyway. The special wheel wash was a guy wiping my wheel with a pad with a handle. This took all of no more than 10 seconds per wheel. When I went home my rear tires still looked like I just went through a salt puddle. Lesson learned: Do not let yourself be up-sold and do not buy anything more than the standard car wash. You will at least get most of what you paid for. read more

We visited the Splash car wash today with, it seemed like, the entire community. We opted for the hand service as the line was shorter. There was an older man who slowly made his way between cars to get in the orders. It took a while but no worries. The guys inside had to move quickly to keep up with the conveyor belt. The process looked good but you kept thinking that maybe they were missing some spots as the belt was fast. When we got out, the guy who looked like he was in charge (his jacket was the only red one) hustled, and kept after the line workers outside to make sure they dried everything correctly. Sounds good, right? Well, maybe we just didn't have the supervisor looking at our car. We got into the car thinking it was clean. After we left, we got home and really looked. The entire back of the car (outside) was filthy with dirt and suds stains. The top back bumper looked as if it hadn't been touched. We gave the guys a tip, thinking that they had hustled and deserved something extra yet now we are rethinking the tip. We were planning to take our second car, but now we are thinking that it is nice outside, and we can do a better job. Just a quick observation: After looking at all the reviews, the owner only commented on the guy who had the Mercedes and BMW with the membership status. The rest of the reviews were ignored. Bought the monthly membership. 1 out of 3 times I had to go through the express wash where they do not vacuum do to an hour wait. The other two time the vacuuming was awful. Add to that they only late you cancel in person. The company did offer to rectify the situation so I do give them credit for that. read more
