I see Raheem was able to get my LEGITIMATE review removed so I will come here again and say: He sold me a car that was a improperly salvaged title, so no place would insure it and the DMV wouldn't register it. The transmission went out the first 30 days and he ducked and dodged me until the "3 month no return policy". When I tried MULTIPLE times to have him served with court papers, he avoided, and is STILL avoiding the court case. The car was stolen, I reported it and 2 years later he sent a repossession company to "repo" a car that had all of the above problems. When I called them to tell them where the car was that they were trying to repo, they never went and picked it up because all Raheem was doing was harassing me because I'm trying to sue him. Updated: Do NOT do business with this dealership. I will make the long story of my experience short. I purchased a vehicle here in September of 2023 cash. Seven months passed by and I received no plates nor title, every time I called the dealer I kept getting told DMV was to blame and that it was coming next month, and then next month, and then next month. My friend works with DMV and in April of 2024 he checked their system, turns out paperwork was never filed with DMV. So it wasn't until I threatened to sue the dealership and report them to the DMV that I received all my documents within a week. Just do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. read more

We purchased a 2014 LE Camry with approximately 87,000 miles and clean title confirmed by a Carfax report. The car was very clean (both outside and inside) and well maintained which was confirmed by the Carfax report. Not sure if they provide reports but we had purchased one for the vehicle we wanted before we came. Yesterday, I communicated via phone and text with the salesman. The positives were 1) no pressure sales (very nice salesman) and 2) they let us bring the vehicle, at our expense, to our mechanic, who spent about an hour performing an inspection. (3) When we returned, we felt the price was more than fair based on the condition of the vehicle and our mechanic's inspection but we also asked and were given an additional reduction in price. We appreciated that. Lastly, (4) we purchased cash (cashier's check) and the paperwork was very quick. I would most certainly buy another car from here. We will need another one in two years and I will look here as well as other places. Not all the cars are super clean (expected with used cars with mileage), however, the one we purchased was. In terms of service, flexibility, and prices we were happy. The only con is: the dealership is co-located with several other dealerships. My husband bought a car in cash in three weeks later, it was stolen out of our very secure apartment complex when we called the CHP they had a different plate number so we ended up finding out that splendid auto had never submitted any paperwork for our car to get the title or registration and still have not to this day which is over 45 days since we bought the car. DMV knows NOTHING! They thought this was suspicious so I opened an official DMV investigation. They say dealerships do this when they don't actually have the title and/or there is still a lien on the car and it's not legally sellable. Also, the salesman at splendid auto that sold us the car just happens to see it driving around in Sacramento (coincidence??!!) and he doesn't call the CHP the CHP thought that was very suspicious. I honestly give this place zero stars. I bought my car here like 2-3 years ago. First time getting a car ever so I wasn't really picky. Something to take me from school to work. They did a great job convincing to get the car telling me it wouldn't be here if I didn't make my mind up and showing me "potential" buyers. The transaction was quick easy. They had told me before buying the car that it had a small dent and if that really mattered to me. Again I wasn't picky I was Just a college student trying to get from point a to point b. So I buy the car 3 days later my car breaks down on me. The bolts on my tire blew off from how tight they were. When my tow truck came the driver said my car was in a major accident just by looking at it. There was two different paint jobs and they tried hiding it. I kindly asked them if they could meet me in the middle and help me pay for the ages and they refused and would only cooperate if their mechanic saw it. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable because if they had a good reliable mechanic this would've never happened in the first place. I told them I would take them to small claims court and they said it would be there word against mine. They were very rude and unprofessional. I had also asked them for carfax and never answered back so I did my own research to find out my car was salvaged and was involved in a major car accident with previous owner. Never did they once mentioned this according to them telling me the car had a small dent was then letting me know about the incident. I'm very happy my car is still driving but since then. I've payed almost 2 thousand dollars trying to fix my car up because it kept a breaking down and more problems came up in the way. They take advantage of you. I read through their reviews and visited their website and I was hopeful to find a good car with a reasonable price. When me and my bf went in we spoke with David who was friendly and even let us test drive the car without him. He was upfront about the car having a salvage title but explained that it was due to 1 accident and it was the rear bumper that was damaged. He even showed us a photo of the rear bumper. We asked to see a vehicle report and he showed us the service history and skimmed through the accident history. After hemming and hawing I just wasn't sure as I had never purchased a salvage vehicle before. David assured me that it doesn't affect insurance and I could go anywhere and get full coverage insurance. Okay pause, a quick google search says salvaged titles are harder to insure, especially full coverage. told him the only way I'd buy the car is if a mechanic could inspect it and he said no problem. So I put a $250 deposit to hold It til we get the report the next day. Later that night I'm just thinking this is too good to be true. Here this salesman is telling me he only states the facts and reiterating I don't need to be so cautious. Hmm.... So I purchase my own vehicle report. 4 accidents, severe damage reported, structural damage and airbags deployed. Now I didn't have a problem with a fender bender or even the salvage title, but the intentional deceit left a bad taste in my mouth. The next morning I text him first thing don't bother with the inspection, I ran the report and he mislead me. He texts back repeatedly apologizing and claiming that they don't purchase "premium auto reports" so he didn't know. How are you going to work at a dealership selling salvage cars and know about 1 accident but not the other 3 that was on the same report you admitted to also using?? We go to the dealership around 430 the next day and no one is there. Their hours are 11-7pm? We get a hold of Lance who comes by. We explain the situation and he looks at the report on his computer with us, the same report I used. Now, Lance was polite and respectful and gave me my deposit back but each step of the way they're trying to claim ignorance. Keep talking about premium reports. You have to get these cars inspected to pass registration, etc. of course you know about the accidents. If I had purchased that car they would've gotten away with fraud. I'm so glad that I was cautious, even with the salesman continuously emphasizing honesty, numbers don't lie. Well, they don't lie but apparently their salesmen do. There were a lot of nice cars there and I'm sure if we had someone more honest we could've purchased from them. But why would I want to look at other cars knowing that their salesman is going to intentionally deceive me about accident/damage to the car? read more

Please avoid this place at all costs. I saw a post on Facebook for a Hyundai for sale listed at $2500. I was speaking to a man named "Steve Austin" all day negotiating, as I was going to drive over 3 hours to see it. He gave me a "dealership" address and agreed to meet at 11. I had arrived in Sac about a half hour earlier than our meet time, so I decided to stop by the address. The address he gave me was an alley way with about 8 different dealers, which was very weird. A lady came out and we asked her about the Hyundai that was posted on Facebook. She walked us over to it and let us know they were only asking 2k. My fiancée and I took it on a test drive and when we came back, he parked it in the sun (originally it was inside a garage). He noticed the door and back bumper were different shades than the rest of the car, so he searched the vin online. Immediately 3 different websites showed the car was auctioned off for $850 with a salvage title. At that point, it was about 11:15 and then man I was speaking to on Facebook showed up. We asked him about the cars title and he lied and told us it was clean. When my fiancée mentioned he found the car had been auctioned, he became very defensive and started raising his voice and denying it. We decided to leave and look elsewhere. As I was driving off, the man messaged me telling me he had just purchased a car fax for the car and "car fax doesn't lie." The car fax he sent me was very blurry and I could barely make any info out of it. Please be careful!!! Or better yet, look elsewhere. read more

Our experience was great until we actually bought the car. They were nice and promised to fix the things that needed to be fixed before we agreed to purchase. As soon as we drive off the lot it became difficult to get a response to their agreement. No one communicated or called us back. When we drove over there to get a response every person we talked to blamed someone else in the company. Found a very low miles older vehicle advertised on Craigslist for my daughter. Contacted the seller and learned through the text conversation that it was offered through this dealership. So, mirroring another reviewer, they were not upfront in noting that this was a car at a dealer. The pics of the car didn't indicate this might be at a dealer either. Car was advertised as a 2003 but was actually a 2001. Asked questions via text to be sure our 90 mile drive wasn't a waste or scam and that title was clean and in hand. Was then assured that yes all was good and that this was at a dealership. We arrived and the car had mileage as advertised, and was in pretty good shape. Took it for a drive and noticed when we pulled aside to inspect that the tires had been coated not in tire shine but what looked like dull matte shoe polish, perhaps to hide the cracks indicating that the tires were 14 years old. The car had also clearly not been detailed at all since although not filthy, there was clear evidence of crumbs and the like in the cubbies and door handles. Car was missing any plates at all and I was told the vehicle had had personalized plates retained by the owner. I was also told that this was a trade in to this dealership when I asked about whether they had gotten this from auction or as a trade. Ultimately we ended up striking a deal and taking possession of the paperwork. At this time in reading this, there was no original title, the vehicle was clearly obtained from an auction, and the strangeness continues with some minor paperwork issues as I learned the next day when I went to DMV to register it. The DMV folks were looking for certain pieces of paperwork that were absent and incomplete, but ultimately I was able to get this thing registered. The gal at DMV said she used to work for dealerships and called into question this dealer for their lack of care in the paperwork. The dealer offered me a gift card for an immediate review on yelp of my experience, and I declined stating that I would review following my registration of the car. Now that this has been completed, here it is. In wrapping this up, I didn't have a 1 star experience, and the issues with their paperwork and lack of knowledge or honesty about the car also mean that this is not a white glove experience either. We are basically satisfied, but I think that anyone who doesn't know something about used cars and mechanics should stay away. Capping this all off, while working on the car today to replace a part I knew was bad when we bought it, I found some of the last owners paperwork and saw that there was not a personalized plate on the vehicle. So why the plates were removed is a mystery. Would we buy a car here again? No. I sincerely doubt the honesty or knowledge of this firm and really came away feeling like we got VERY lucky. I was very anxious at DMV thinking I'd find this was a salvage title, or was severely behind on fees, etc. It wasn't thank goodness, but the fear was there, but the idea of salvage title didn't strike me until after we left. So if I was so nervous, why buy? Because for a 20 year old car, it was in great shape with an average of 2500 miles a year on it. Finding some paperwork from the last owner, this was a classic little old lady car they bought probably as a used rental back in 2002 with 20000 miles on it and then proceeded to put next to nothing on it.
