    Beer wall

Great food and nice set up inside. We ordered wings, cheeseburger bowl, and kids chicken sticks. Also used the beer wall and enjoyed this fun option. The service was good and the cashier was very nice. She helped give us some recommendations which ended up being good! This was a perfect lunch stop as we drove along the art shops. The location is a little strange but you can tell they made the most of it.

This was an even better experience than we had anticipated! The food was great. The onion straws are AMAZING! The tater tot bowl options are a fun different item on the menu. The tacos we are on the small side. The staff were super helpful and kind. Food came out quickly. We didn't feel rushed and felt very welcome. We did not realize it was trivia and bingo night. We loved it! The lady running song bingo and trivia did a great job! What was just gonna be dinner turned in to a fun evening activity! Note: to get in the restaurant you go into the middle area of the buildings then you will see the entrance to the restaurant!

This is such a cute little spot. It is tucked away and I was very surprised that there was an entire set of stores back with it. The service was great and what I loved about the food was there's something for everyone. From basic to super creative. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside and the self serve beer wall was a fun experience.

Wow! What a great find on Yelp! We stopped for lunch when visiting Gatlinburg. Ordering was quick at the walk up counter and the employee was very helpful. Food was very good. I had turkey Reuben with homemade chips and husband had buffalo chicken wrap with tater tots. We enjoyed our meals at this cute, cozy restaurant. Got fun lattes (Rainy Day with salted caramel and English toffee syrup and Snow Day with peppermint syrup and chocolate drizzle) to go at the conclusion of our meals.

We really enjoyed Split Rail Eats! The food was fresh, tasty, and came out quickly after ordering at the counter. The outdoor patio seating was a nice touch -- relaxed, casual, and perfect for enjoying a meal in the Smokies. The menu has a great variety with something for everyone, and the portions were just right. Friendly staff and a laid-back atmosphere made it a great stop in Gatlinburg. We'd definitely come back!

This place is attached to a lodge. Cute atmosphere, there are a few lounge areas where you can eat. You order at the counter and then they give you a number and you sit wherever you want. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with a side order of fries, bell peppers and mushrooms were extra also. I feel like the price point wasn't worth it. The sandwich was salty and they forgot the bell peppers and mushrooms. For $4 I barely got any fries. It was a small sandwich for 20 bucks. Can't say I'd recommend this place or return. Staff was friendly though so there's that.

Just what I was looking for! Casual dining done right. The location is away from the congestion of the main strip of Gatlinburg. We had burgers and tots. The quality of the burger was legit, the tots were nice and crispy. We also did the beer/cider experience. This was really cool. You just scan a wristband and you sample one of several drinks. So many delicious beers, ciders, and cocktails. The PBJ cider was unique and delicious! 10/10. This was the perfect stop after a morning spent at the national park. I wish I could take the whole place back home with me!

Good for a quick lunch! We visited Split Rail Eats after spending the morning hiking in GSMNP, and found it moderately busy. The restaurant had a casual ambiance, and we ended up sitting in their outdoor area, which had plenty of sun and shade. We went up to order at the counter and saw an entire Fall Latte Menu of seasonal coffee drinks. I chose the Iced Autumn Glory and my friend got an Iced Nutty Pumpkin. Unfortunately, neither of these were good at all. Both drinks were super weak and tasted like we were just drinking a cup of sweetened milk. Definitely could've used another shot of espresso! For food, I got the Rodeo Burger with Cucumber Salad as a side. The burger was tasty and filling! I liked the fried onion straws and melty cheese, and the Cucumber Salad was light and refreshing. My friend ordered the Southwestern Burger with Tater Tots on the side, and said her meal was pretty good. The Tater Tots were nicely crispy. Good food overall, but I recommend skipping the coffee drinks!

Great little spot located near other shopping stores and apartments above. The decor is very nice, was there in December so it was festive, fast service and food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot. Give it a try!

This food was great! We both really loved our meal. The tater tots were crispy, the gluten free bun didn't fall apart, the flavors were excellent. The staff was kind and checked in on us. Was a cute ambiance. Go check it out!

After watching 3 tables that ordered after us receive their food, I asked where ours was at and was told it was next. About 4-5 minutes later our food came out. Cold. Like it's been sitting for 20 minutes cold :/ if they left it on accident, they could've taken 5 minutes to remake and BLT and some French toast. Go a few feet further to Split Rail Eats, you won't regret it! Although the food came out cold, I will say the potatoes, BLT, potato salad and tavern toast were good. But they were all cold. I don't enjoy cold eggs or bacon so they were just a waste of money :/ Paying $50 for a BLT, Tavern Toast adding Eggs, getting our own drinks AND tipping 15% for them to take 35 minutes to deliver our food to us cold IMHO, isn't the characteristics of restaurant I'd promote to others. Had they stated they left it in the window too long and needed to make it fresh and we'd have to wait another 5-10, I'd be leaving a different review. We don't complain, that's why we didn't say anything at the time. We get things get busy and forgotten. Our food was definitely served cold so it was either intentionally left or forgotten. Either way, I don't ask for refunds for this reason. I share my experiences and let others decide how to vote with their wallets and choices. I'm not rude and demand to be refunded. I just don't function like that. Also no one ever asked if our food was good or we would've said something God Bless.

When we entered the tiny dining room, we were greeted by walls covered with hand colored dollar bills. A warm fire was welcome on the chilly morning. The owners quickly seated us and took drink orders. The owner explained that they moved from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. All the food is prepared fresh by hand and authentic. I shared a Crab Cake Po'Boy with hubs. The sandwich was a daily feature and huge. Really huge. And delicious. My brother had the Oyster Po'Boy that I highly recommend. I tasted the large succulent, hand breaded oysters. This is the sandwich that makes you want to make the trip to Gatlinburg. My daughter and SIL had a half Muffalatta sandwich, which was huge and fresh packed with olives, meats, cheese and other good stuff. The kids shared a fish platter which came with a huge fried white fish and home fries. They actually ate their whole plate. The kid's meals are awesome. This is possibly the best cafe in Gatlinburg. The owners make you feel like family, the food is awesome and the dining room is interesting and cozy. We took the trolly into town so we didn't have to deal with parking. I came in with high expectations. The restaurant has strong reviews, it's part of the Johnson Family of restaurants, and I've enjoyed several of their other establishments over the years. So I walked in expecting a meal that would have me planning a return visit before I even paid the check. What I got instead was one of the strangest cases of missing seasoning I've encountered in quite some time. Let's start with the positives. The people here are genuinely nice. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and seemed to care about providing a good experience. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and inviting. And the kitchen clearly knows how to cook food. The fried chicken was cooked beautifully. Crispy on the outside. Juicy on the inside. Exactly the texture you're hoping for when you order Southern fried chicken. The problem? The seasoning apparently called in sick. This chicken had all the flavor intensity of a weather report. No noticeable salt. No spice. No personality. It tasted like the chef had just completed community service at a nursing home and was legally prohibited from possessing a salt shaker. My piece of chicken was juicy and cooked properly. Unfortunately, my wife's chicken breast was noticeably dry, which didn't help matters. Then came the fried pickles. No seasoning. Chicken and dumplings. No seasoning. Coleslaw. Tasteless. At one point I started wondering if there had been some sort of building-wide seasoning shortage that nobody had told us about. The frustrating part is that none of the food was poorly cooked. Quite the opposite. The techniques were there. The textures were there. The execution was there. It just felt like someone got everything ready and forgot the final, critical step of making the food taste like something. This is a restaurant with good people, a pleasant atmosphere, and a kitchen that clearly knows how to cook. Now they just need to introduce their food to salt, pepper, and a few of their seasoning friends. Three stars. Because the potential is absolutely there. The flavor just never showed up for work.
