If you have ever ventured outside of the Gatlinburg ruckus and into Pittman's Corner, you'll find many local spots that aren't overpriced and that serve you best. Trish's Mountain Diner is no different! Easy to find, but just off the touristy path this diner offers you true traditional American fare. This mom and pop shop has a delectable breakfast menu, and a decent dinner selection. We enjoyed the breakfast most of all, eggs cooked just right and their biscuits were some of the best I've ever had in this area! Service was a bit stretched thin as it was pretty packed but still extremely friendly and attentive. During our first of 2 visits, we dined for dinner. Their service was extremely friendly; you could tell that a lot of these folks were family and it was a warm homey vibe. The burgers we ordered were decent, but were a bit overcooked. The fries were the prize of the plate, and we are planning to come back by to try some other dinner options and certainly for a solid breakfast. Our server, a younger gentleman, was extremely knowledgeable, quick, and friendly. You could tell he had a passion for this place! As a gay couple in the South, we are always curious to see the vibes of these places, and we felt more than welcome here. Thank you for an incredible experience and some delicious grub--We look forward to coming back in May!

This food was absolutely delicious. If you want fresh home cooked food this is the place to go. We found this hidden gem online and it will now be a must stop when we visit. The server was super sweet and very helpful. This is a cute little place that is worth a visit.

Been coming to the area for over a decade and while I've wanted to try Trish's this was my first time. It was an excellent experience and I will make it a point to go back. I was greeted immediately when I walked in. Got a seat quickly. Great atmosphere, nice country decor. Excellent choices for breakfast. I had the Mountaineer's Breakfast and ordered an additional side of grits. Food arrived quickly, and was cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious, cooked to order. I just wish I had more room for more.

Two thumbs down to this restaurant. I've never dined at a place where they screw up an order of a simple grilled chicken. We were served with an unexplainably rubbery chicken which we had to send back to the kitchen. The second chicken that was served was again no different from the first one either. My husband felt awful looking at my plate the whole time as I only ate the fries and Mac N Cheese and hadn't touched the chicken or the tasteless corn bread. The server gave us $2.4 off the bill which we felt wasn't fair but still paid and left a tip. I'm very disappointed at the service and quality of food as this place had so many good reviews.

What a great breakfast, service was fast, friendly. The food was hot and delicious, plentiful portions and reasonably priced. Trish's Mountain Diner was a home run breakfast stop for us.

You can either try and pick apart the few, savory elements as the sweet undertones highlight the mild acidity of the sauce or enjoy the maelstrom of deliciousness in one bite. Either way, it's perfect. It's so good, it's simply overwhelming. Texture, taste, value, this dang sandwich knows no bounds. I had one on the way up to hike the AT, and stopped back by so I could by another to enjoy on the way home (I was hoping it would make the journey back to Nashville, but my self control failed me). The Italian is great too, but the meatball sub is the belle of the ball. This place is truly one of a kind, from the trailer set amongst mountains to (if Chef Frank still has them out there) the TVs tunes to a channel that plays bluegrass music on the wrap around patio of the trailer. A word about Frank: I grew up with a grandfather who owned a mom and pop deli, so I know the type. You want great food? Don't be in a hurry, don't tell him how to make what he clearly knows how to make (and well, I might add), and don't be hyper sensitive when it comes to him catering to your demands. The guy knows what he's doing. Let him do it so you can enjoy it. For every one star review, it has nothing to do with the food. For every five start review, it does. Don't Yelp review people's personality, go by the principle of good food being good food. But I digress...

When we entered the tiny dining room, we were greeted by walls covered with hand colored dollar bills. A warm fire was welcome on the chilly morning. The owners quickly seated us and took drink orders. The owner explained that they moved from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. All the food is prepared fresh by hand and authentic. I shared a Crab Cake Po'Boy with hubs. The sandwich was a daily feature and huge. Really huge. And delicious. My brother had the Oyster Po'Boy that I highly recommend. I tasted the large succulent, hand breaded oysters. This is the sandwich that makes you want to make the trip to Gatlinburg. My daughter and SIL had a half Muffalatta sandwich, which was huge and fresh packed with olives, meats, cheese and other good stuff. The kids shared a fish platter which came with a huge fried white fish and home fries. They actually ate their whole plate. The kid's meals are awesome. This is possibly the best cafe in Gatlinburg. The owners make you feel like family, the food is awesome and the dining room is interesting and cozy. We took the trolly into town so we didn't have to deal with parking. Parking is a bear downtown.

After watching 3 tables that ordered after us receive their food, I asked where ours was at and was told it was next. About 4-5 minutes later our food came out. Cold. Like it's been sitting for 20 minutes cold :/ if they left it on accident, they could've taken 5 minutes to remake and BLT and some French toast. Go a few feet further to Split Rail Eats, you won't regret it! Although the food came out cold, I will say the potatoes, BLT, potato salad and tavern toast were good. But they were all cold. I don't enjoy cold eggs or bacon so they were just a waste of money :/ Paying $50 for a BLT, Tavern Toast adding Eggs, getting our own drinks AND tipping 15% for them to take 35 minutes to deliver our food to us cold IMHO, isn't the characteristics of restaurant I'd promote to others. Had they stated they left it in the window too long and needed to make it fresh and we'd have to wait another 5-10, I'd be leaving a different review. We don't complain, that's why we didn't say anything at the time. We get things get busy and forgotten. Our food was definitely served cold so it was either intentionally left or forgotten. Either way, I don't ask for refunds for this reason. I share my experiences and let others decide how to vote with their wallets and choices. I'm not rude and demand to be refunded. I just don't function like that. Also no one ever asked if our food was good or we would've said something God Bless.
