    Stack for pancakes
    Vanessa A.

Tucked inside a cozy little house, this family-owned gem serves up homestyle breakfast that feels like a warm hug. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, and my husband went for the breakfast burrito plus a stack of pancakes everything is cooked fresh to order. The service was great too our server was super attentive, with coffee refills always on time. It's fairly priced and full of charm. Honestly, it's a must-try if you're after fresh, homemade breakfast in a down-to-earth spot!

This is the cutest little spot. We walked in and my daughter said this has been her favorite spot during our trip. Owner was one of the nicest people. Food was absolutely amazing. The pancakes are the thickest I've ever seen. When I say thick that doesn't mean that they are super dense but they are SO light and fluffy. My bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was by far the best I've had anywhere. It only has a few tables but we were fortunate to not have to wait but if you have to....I'd wait all day.

A little shop with friendly staff. The food came quickly and all five of us enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches. Seating is limited, so come in early. There's no coffee to go, which we would have preferred.

Wow! Quite the entry. Super small w 5 tables but you are welcomed. Owner ( I think) and staff super friendly and nice. Place was decked out for Christmas. This place is more of an experience than just a cafe. Started w coffe and they asked what flavor creamer? Yep, you get options. Pretty rare. Ordered philly steak burrito and pancake. Pancake was huge and tasty. Burrito was pretty good. This is a true hole in the wall cafe w great charm. Our server was Amanda and she was super sweet. Definitely check this place out. Oh and you put a letter to Santa in the box and add your address and the staff replies to the letter and mails to your home : )

Came here on a beautiful cool Wednesday morning. Both of us had 2 eggs over easy with Corned beef hash with buttered toast. A sweet tea and a coffee! Yummy! Cute place. The owner Greets you and acknowledges you as well as the server man. You can tell they are hard workers.

No takeout. When I asked if I could sit and eat and take some to go, I was told sarcastically "yea, that's called takeout, guy." The owner is kind of a jerk or whoever the main guy is. Meh.

Regular pancakes with a side of bacon

Ordered the pancakes with a regular side of bacon. The pancakes and bacon were cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the bagel breakfast sandwich, which I think might have been better than mine. We lucked out and got in right away. The service is really where this place shines. The staff are really friendly and out there hustling. Fair warning that place is small and it can be a bit of a wait.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast on our way out of GSMNP and we were not disappointed. Please be mindful that they only have regular drip coffee (no cappuccinos or lattes) but that was good for us. The employees were amazing and friendly, the location was homey and nicely decorated. We enjoyed our omelets and amazing pancakes. I wish I lived in the area to be a regular at this spot.

The food was amazing! The best pancakes we have had. Wonderful service and we will be coming here again!

Is this place hard to get in to? Long lines?

It depends on when you go, on the weekend there can be a wait, however it's usually under an hour. It is a small cafe an only has so many tables and is a popular place so it can get busy at times, but it is well worth the wait!

Everything was served family-style, which only added to the comfort and experience. It was our first time, and we were genuinely surprised by how much we enjoyed the food across the board. Her tone, attitude, and the way she spoke to me made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. It felt like we were a burden just for being there. I ended up completely losing my appetite because of how mean and cold Marsha was, and I actually left the table crying over it. (I work in healthcare so I have thick skin). Going out to eat is supposed to be enjoyable, not something that leaves you feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I understand everyone can have bad days, but there's no reason to treat customers with that level of disrespect. I was asking a simple question of getting an order to go and about the lunch. I really hope management takes customer service more seriously because no one should leave a restaurant crying and feeling the way I did.

The wait is worth it if you get there before 8 am. The omelettes had a lot of filling and were very good. The buckwheat pancake while thin had a really nice texture. The pot roast eggs Benedict was good but the biscuit is so thick and soft and the meat is soft that it would be better with an English muffin for a texture factor. Place is cute log cabin vibes and very busy.

People are frustrating--especially on vacation. But, if you are irritated, do not assume that you won't be understood. I speak 3 languages well and understand more. The wait was awful, but to be expected. And our waitress was helpful and friendly--though not super attentive. She was busy, though, not lazy. The food was decent. Not earth shattering. Bottom line...if you want BIG food. And you have 1.5 hours to wait for food...it is a great tourist spot. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The cinnamon roll bread is well done...but the flavor was tame and the glaze was not good. My son loved the Aretha Frankenstein pancakes. However, if you want good food, there has to be a better spot.

The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.
