We enjoyed ourselves so much that we had to come back the next day and not only did they remember us, they remembered our drink orders. I visit the area at least once a year, and I've seen this place recommended over and over on social media and in Google reviews. I'd wanted to stop several times before, but it's such a small restaurant that we never had enough time to wait. Today we finally got the chance to try it. The restaurant is pretty small with only about six tables. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and told the wait would be around 30 minutes. We weren't in a hurry, so we decided to stay. They gave us a pager, and we sat at one of the picnic tables outside while we waited. It actually only took about 10 to 15 minutes before our table was ready, which was a nice surprise. I usually look at the menu ahead of time, but I didn't this visit. I was expecting a few more breakfast options, but I ordered the French toast since it's one of my favorites. My brother ordered the pancakes with strawberries and bananas, and we both got a side of bacon. Our food came out pretty quickly. They brought my French toast and our bacon first and let us know the pancakes would be out in just a minute. When they arrived, we were both shocked by the size. Those pancakes were huge! Everything was very good, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the bacon, but my brother actually loved it. That's just one of those things where everyone's tastes are different. Whenever I can, I like supporting locally owned restaurants instead of chain restaurants, so I was glad we finally stopped in. I also appreciated the atmosphere. They had Christian music playing and scripture displayed throughout the restaurant. My faith is important to me, so I enjoyed that touch. The food is made to order. Prices are really reasonable and they have a Kid's menu. The staff is super friendly. Food came out quickly. Beverages are self serve. The manager check on us several times. French onion soup was hot with a ton of peppery flavoring and plenty of cheese and onions. I thought the soup was a tad too salty. My husband had a hamburger with all the fixings. His burger came with chips. He loved the burger. My brother had a Rueben with a Bavarian style sauerkraut and potato salad. This is the cutest little spot. We walked in and my daughter said this has been her favorite spot during our trip. Owner was one of the nicest people. Food was absolutely amazing. There was not a single item of food that we received that wasn't delicious. Egg sandwich prepared perfectly the cinnamon roll was a home run and a sleeper was how good the potato salad was. This is a small place, only 5 or 6 tables. The morning we went, 3 adults 2 kids. The kids enjoyed buckets of crayons and coloring pages, the funny animals and fails on the TV and were happy with their food. They enjoyed getting their picture taken with their masterpieces and getting a prize bag with treats and a bracelet. The owner/ chef was having fun in the kitchen and was very nice to the costumers, coming and checking every table once he'd made the food. They had some Christian music playing in the background, not too loud. The food was fine. They were out of a few items and the sign that says Today's Specials apparently were not available today. Food is served with margarine, not butter. If you order water they give you plastic cups and you fill them up yourself in the soda machine. Menu is very limited, but as I said, food was fine. Support the little business. It's actually a very little restaurant with 5-6 tables inside and 2 outside. Don't expect a quick service as it's made to order. Coffee is refillable and we had 2-3 cups before the food arrived. We had Hot Golden Pancakes, 2 Eggs with Sausage, and side bacon. The pancakes were as large as Crockett's but cost only $7.
